So glad I was recommended to this bakery by a friend. I ordered my sons birthday cake here. I spoke to Deonna thru Instagram because it was easier for me. She answered in a timely manner and knew what I was looking for once I sent her a few pictures. The cake was delicious. It was filled with Oreo buttercream! I will definitely use them again for any time we need a cake or sweets. On a side note, their cookies are always so fresh. Not stale like most places. Amazing donuts!! We've gone twice and tried a couple different varieties and loved them all. On a nice day you can sit outside and enjoy a coffee and donut. Not the best views but relaxing Saturday. We passed by this bakery while running some errands this past weekend. We saw a sign saying that it was the home of the Crannoli. Our curiosity led us to look into what that was. And we are very glad that we did. The crannoli is a cronut (croissant donut) filled with cannoli cream. We had the coconut version. It was delicious. Coconut flavored icing and bits of coconut topped this magical creation and a perfect cannoli cream on the inside. We had come later in the day so this was the only flavor available. We plan on heading back soon to try some more. You know, for science. We also tried one of their regular donuts (a chocolate & vanilla cream filled treat) and their rainbow cookies. It was the perfect balance of moist almondy cake layers, jam, and chocolate. The sprinkles added a nice bit of texture too. We definitely plan on visiting again and recommend that you do too. read more

OMG, I can't express how great this place is. EVERYTHING i've had from them is amazing. I had a cheesecake from them on Friday and I think it was the best cheesecake I've ever had in my life. The staff is amazingly nice and lets you reserve things in the morning to pick up later. Also the prices are really good. If I could give zero stars would. My wife called to see if they would ship to Florida And was told yes . She ordered Linzer tarts, prune danish and black and white cookies. When they arrived there was nothing edible in the box everything was crumbs or stuck together. Nothing was individually wrapped. When she called to complain because we were charged $73.00 we were told to send pictures which we did. She has since called Helen 2 times and left a message for Helen. My friend from Long Island brought some sweet treats from Sweet Surrender! The crannoli-filled cronut is AH-MAZING!!! It's my go-to treat whenever my Long Island friends come over. The bakery is super clean and the staff is friendly. I was able to pick up the cranoli filled cronut myself. They have a "flavor of the month" cronuts. I've had the red-velvet cronut and the Bailey's cronut. Both didn't disappoint. I love the thick flakes the cronut gives and the cannoli filling is the "icing on the cake." I didn't get to get my free donut this time, but I'm looking forward to my free donut for my first Yelp check in the next time I get out to Long Island again. (Completely hypothetical speculation ;) ) I got a pastry that looked like a large sfogliatelle (my fave) but with cannoli cream inside. They also had this pastry with bakery cream inside. Fantastic! I was simply scrolling down the phone book since I'm from out of town and I'm so happy I came across their number. These reviews gotta be kidding me. The "old" shop catered to the apple turnover and crumb bun/bread crowd (older). They changed the awning and fancied up some cakes but I wasn't the least bit impressed. I got a pastry tart with cream and fruit on top. The shell tasted stale and weird and the cream and fruit topping seemed old to say the least. I also took a chance and got my friend a small birthday cake. It had chocolate filling that wash;t really bad but the outside was like wax. I tried going back again thinking it was a new takeover of owners but there is no parking and you can get killed just trying to get out of your car. Reading these reviews I'd say these Long Islanders never went to an authentic scratch-baked bakery like in Manhattan. People really need to get out more. I've purchased cakes and special occasion orders from this bakery several times. It is a bit of a trip from Plainview to Levitown but I always found the product worth a little extra time in the car. I was there a few weeks ago and purchased a cake I've had before a black and white, frosted small Bundt cake with marble/pound filling. this time when I served the cake to company that same night I found the cake to be under baked not much in the way of marble in the cake itself, and the vanilla frosted half of the cake was poorly done and flaked off as I cut the slices. I called the next morning to talk to the owner and I was told she was out making a delivery. I called back six hours later and I was told she was still out and she would call me back. I never got a response even though I was asked on the first Call Why I needed to speak to the manager/owner? No way to do business! Needless to say, I will not be going back. read more

This review is for the "New" Levittown Bake Shop. Everyone loves a good bakery and this place certainly lives up to that billing. Despite what the name says, this bakery has been at it's location for a long time. I remember as a kid walking there to get some linzar tarts and some rolls. They always had good service and great products. In my opinion, the cakes are better than their breads.... the raspberry crumb cake is mouth watering and the strawberry short cake is also pretty damn good.
