Harvest Bowl
Jennifer

Came here for dinner and truly enjoyed their health options. You can either custom a bowl or order a preselected one. I'm a huge harvest bowl fan. Kale, almonds, wild rice, apples, chicken, and chickpeas (I switch out the sweet potato) in one sitting? Count me in!! Taste: 5/5 no notes. I love that they have a lot of super healthy ingredients here and they have a list that shows where they sourced them from. Parking: Confusing because some parts are closed off but there's plenty of spots Service: Kind and quick

The apples tasted good, but it needed more.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. Had the BBQ chicken salad, which consisted of blackened chicken, apples, pickled onions, tomatoes, cabbage, romaine, and kale. It's also supposed to come with honey BBQ sauce, green goddess dressing, and tortilla strips. The overall portion size was good and the ingredients were fresh. The apples were the best part of the salad, but it needed more. There wasn't enough chicken, either. The pickled onions, which I usually love at other restaurants, were too tart. They were out of tortilla strips. I requested no dressing, so I assumed the container of sauce it came with was BBQ sauce, but it tasted nothing like honey BBQ sauce to me. I didn't care for whatever it was. I probably won't be back.

Quick service like any cafeteria style restaurant. The employee was kind of rude and the food wasn't tasty, so I wouldn't return or recommend anyone to go here when there are so many other options nearby!

Not sure if I came on an off day, but my bowl lacked flavor and didn't satisfy me. For the price, I was expecting better quality from sweetgreens. The protein was decent but wasn't juicy as I hoped for. I built my own salad and although they do offer various ingredients, I didn't see the hype of this place. Some ingredients are charged at an extra cost and some stations limited you to a select number of items. My friend ordered one of the seasonal bowls which was a good concept. We would have never thought to add some ingredients together so it's nice that they have set options for customers as well. The staff was super patient with me and guided me through the ordering process. Clean and tidy restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Located in a busy plaza with various shops, workout studios, and other restaurants.

Sweet green is like chipotle for salads. I like that you can make your own. It is VERY EXPENSIVE. Usually my salad with steak and no extras is over $20. Cheese is extra cost. Hard boiled egg is extra cost. Crunchy onions and fermented onions are included. Slide of bread is included. There's some nice outdoor seating. Lots of parking at the Pruneyard.

Crispy Rice Bowl

I used to hear good things about Sweetgreen and how good their bowls are. I ordered their crispy rice bowl, and I wish there were more rice in it. It's definitely not enough. The sauce that was given for the bowl was ok. The chicken was on the dryer side, given that the sauce is already there. The ripple fries looked pretty good on the menu, so I also order that. The garlic aioli sauce pairs nicely with that.

I come here about every other month after a walk along the Campbell park trail. The portion size is huge, you can share it with another person or eat half and save it for another meal. Unfortunately, the taste is inconsistent. Depending who makes your salad, it can be flavorful and delicious or just ok. But it definitely worth a try and a healthy choice.

Kale Caesar they forgot the tomatoes so make sure you double check.

Major shrinkflation. My last 2 bowls I ordered have way less in the bowls. Doesn't make sense to go here.

Sweetgreen always hits-- the ingredients are pretty fresh and taste natural. My go to is the caramelized garlic steak bowl

The location is convenient but tricky! The pruneyard has difficult parking majority of the time, but this location is next and right next to Mendocino Farms and Trader Joe's. Their mobile order pick up is easy and your food is ready on the shelf for you. The portion is pretty difficult and not as much you expect for the price you pay. A bowl is usually priced at $18-22 which is on the higher side for the portion size you get. They have indoor and outdoor dining and also have umbrellas outside for you!

First time visiting this healthy food spot after a post-run workout. The environment was nice, though there weren't too many tables inside. I ordered the Steakhouse Chopped salad for lunch. It came with all kinds of fresh veggies paired with beef. While the beef was average, as expected, the veggies were fresh and crisp. Overall, it's a solid spot for a healthy, refreshing lunch after a workout. Worth a try if you're looking for something light and nourishing!

This was in the salad that I took to go.

I've always wanted to try sweet green and I took a yoga class at Pruneyard and decided to check it out after. The man working there helped me navigate the menu since I have never been before and I ended up choosing a bowl with chicken and sweet potatoes the ball came with lots of food, but I would say I didn't feel satisfied with the flavors of the food. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing I might give it a try next time.

Our food came out quickly, which was a huge plus. My son ordered the Caesar salad and the Caesar wrap, and both were very tasty. He mentioned the wrap had great flavor, the chicken was well seasoned, the croutons were crunchy and flavorful, and the wrap itself was soft and fresh without being overly hot or soggy. I ordered the furikake salmon bowl, and it was absolutely delicious. The sauce really brought everything together, it was flavorful and brought the dish together. The sushi rice had the perfect texture and tasted great, and the salmon paired really well with all the components. It was one of those meals where every bite just works. What also stood out was the attentiveness of the staff, they checked in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the experience even better, and picked up our trays when we were finished. Overall, a great first visit with fresh, flavorful food and excellent service. I would definitely come back and recommend giving it a try!

Then about a week ago I got the crispy Thai brussels sprouts, and they were DELICIOUS! Today I got chicken tenders and the elote side dish. The chicken tenders were good and reminded me of fast food I used to get as a kid. I kinda regretted the meal afterwards because it was a lot of sodium and fried food not the healthiest choice. I am watching my weight and fried chicken probably is not the best choice for that. Starbird gave me a free $10 reward after my first purchase. I would probably go back and get either a salad or the brussels sprouts again. They do have the option of grilled chicken on a salad, so that's probably what I would get. I don't want to regain the 90 pounds I lost. Overall, Starbird is a good fried chicken restaurant with some healthy options like salads. Ambiance inside the restaurant is rushed, it's a popular restaurant and most often busy and crowded inside. You can order at a kiosk and that speeds things along. The food is usually ready quickly and you pick up at the shelves, they have a sign telling you once your order is ready.

The bakery offers a place for friends to enjoy each other's company over fresh breads, pastries, coffees, and more. When I stepped into Manresa Bread, I was greeted by the fresh smells of baking bread. Scents of buttery dough, warm and slightly toasted, wafted through the air. The café was packed with customers sharing pastries, enjoying meals, and catching up with friends. I got the salmon toast, and was the presentation beautiful! Two slices of sourdough bread topped with filets of smoked salmon on an herb aioli spread. All of this was garnished with a generous helping of frisee, a few rings of red onion, a helping of capers, a couple zests of lemon, and a sprinkling of dill. And what a delightful meal! From the first bite, the salmon was smoky with a hint of salt and sweetness, with herbal creaminess and a toasty crunch thanks to the aioli and bread. The frisee was peppery sharp, a highlight and good contrast to the salmon. The mild salty brininess of the capers and the bright tart lemon zest brought notes of sunshine and sea breeze to the dish. The dill was the fresh, light, finishing touch. This was just like a fresh lunch by the seaside, and for a moment it was heaven. Where community comes together for good food, Manresa is there. And where there is good food there are great memories. My time at Manresa was a memorable one, and I'll be back for more food and community soon.

1st time here. A friend invited me to join her, and said it was where many of her co-workers ate…read more The short version is: my meal was very sub-par, and way over-priced. The details: I normally don't eat a lot of meat, so I chose the Falafel Salad. It came with extremely little lettuce, plus a few olives (which I don't eat), onions (which I also eat sparingly), tomatoes, cucumbers, and the falafel balls. Oh! And there was feta cheese, but those were such miniscule pieces, and so few, that I wouldn't have remembered it was supposed to be part of the salad, if I didn't just pull up a photo online with their ordering system. What you see in the photo online is not what you get. The photo actually looks like a salad. Since it was called a salad, I expected there to be more lettuce, than the few pieces on the plate. I mainly was cutting up the cucumber & tomato pieces to go with the falafels. I don't even recall any dressing. There were also some pita slices with what I assumed was hummus. Whatever the dip was, it did not taste good to me at all. So I left all of the pita bread, as well, since it was dry without anything on it. Maybe what I assumed was hummus was a dressing. Hard to know, but it was not tasty. For the $27 I paid at a walk up counter, I would have expected much better food! I have bought frozen falafels at Lunardis (around $7) and made a salad for them at home, and enjoyed it very much, which is why I ordered it. I have purchased Spanakopita at the store many times, (about $5 for around 12 of them at the store) and made them at home, which is why I didn't order that. The falafel salad was not an enjoyable meal for me at Yiassoo's. I'd also seen some reviews from a few years back that said they paid around $10 or $11 for their meal. That is more in-line price-wise with what you get, based upon my meal. With most of the meals around $20 for lunch, I feel they were very over-priced. I also asked my friend if she'd like to split a Baklava. They had a pistachio one & chocolate one. My friend wanted to try the chocolate one, so I bought that. I didn't think I was too into baklava, but thought it might be nice to try at this highly rated Greek restaurant. The main flavor that came through was the honey & nuts. The chocolate was just a tiny, narrow drizzle on top. I didn't hate it, but I would never order it again. My friend took one bite, and said she mainly tasted the honey, and would take it home for her husband. It may be very good baklava, but it was not to our tastes. My friend ordered the Gyro salad. It had a large pile of shaved meat, and she seemed to enjoy it. She ordered it To-Go, as she knew she'd be taking some of it home. She seemed to have more lettuce under her pile of meat than my meal got. Maybe because it was in a To-Go box, which might be larger than the plate? Or maybe the person making my salad just wasn't paying attention to how to make a decent meal. I was hoping I was trying a restaurant that I could go back to for something different. Based upon my experience, I would not go back, if I had a choice. I gave it 3 stars, because maybe other dishes, or people looking to just eat meat or falafel balls and not much else would enjoy it. I only have the 1 meal to review, but it does not encourage me to try it again. Overpriced & not a fulfilling meal.

Just never got around to working a review before. Went early on a Saturday evening recently and was surprised to not have to wait. We split a Bibb lettuce salad that was simple, refreshing and perfect. A tiny pea fritter was the very definition of a small bite, and while it wasn't what I expected, it was crisp and tender. Grilled artichoke was one of the best I have ever had. (Just wish they had been explicit on the menu that it was a half a grilled artichoke). Cocktails were up to their usual high standard -- rye Manhattan for the BF and clarified milk punch for me. I don't get out much these days and I rarely drink alcohol, but is $20 a lot for a cocktail? Or is that normal now? They were great though. BF got the ribeye with morels, which was perfectly cooked and unbelievably tender. I had the burger, which was more exciting than it sounds, dressed with a wild combo of veggies, cheese and bacon while still managing to be harmonious and fresh tasting. Side of fries were crisp and tasty, though not as perfectly hot as I would ideally wish. Because the burger was late coming out, or server (Bernardo I think?) comped us an amazing little dish of vanilla soft serve ice cream with olive oil and sea salt, along with the butterscotch pudding that we ordered. The pudding didn't have the strong butterscotch flavor that I hoped for, but the vanilla ice cream stole the dessert show. OCK isn't a place I can afford often, but I still really like it. I appreciate the creativity of the dishes, the quality ingredients, and the bar. And the old-school shopping center vibe of the Pruneyard is low key festive and garden-like. She was attentive but not overbearing and gave great recommendations. Even if the food was not good, we would still come back because she made it such a pleasant experience. Thankfully the food is also amazing. I have always been addicted to the triple B and the KFC so I was nervous when I tried the new versions recently. I enjoyed them both more than I had previously. The triple B was smaller but the biscuit had much more flavor, depth and was more pillowy. The KFC had always been my favorite and the new version did not change that at all. The chicken was much juicier, and it had a lot more substance. The chicken pieces were thicker and the sauce was delicious. It's reminiscent of a chicken and waffle dish because I believe the sauce has some sort of maple syrup. The dishes have changed but I'm a huge fan of the change. I will continue to come here and I am glad to see that this place doesn't seem to want to stop getting better.
