I love a build your own salad idea! First time trying this place and I was unsure of what to order as well as how to order. I ended up building a salad/bowl with half white rice and romain as the base. You get to add 4 toppings and any proteins or cheeses are at an additional cost. I added the blackened chicken and a boiled egg. There are many dressing options but I kept it safe and stuck to their ranch which had a heavy dill taste. Some comments I have seen mention the amount you get for the price. I paid a little over $17 and the bowl was enough to fill me, but I think thats due to the rice I added. So I can see how some people may be a little upset about the portions. I was not a fan of only being allowed 4 toppings and no sort of protein without an additional cost. Service was average. I had to ask a lot of questions as I went through the line and felt a bit rushed. When I went back to ask for an additional dressing I was also ignored for a few minutes before I had someone help me. The salad itself was good, no complaints there. You could easily make it yourself at home for a fraction of the cost but it's a good option for a quick lunch in a good location. We were excited to have Sweetgreen open in this location, but it certainly didn't live up to the Sunnyvale location. We ordered 2 bowls- the rice was undercooked and tasted horrible. We couldn't eat it! The rest of the fajita bowl was ok, but not amazing. The miso glazed salmon was a total disappointment. The salmon was dry and lacked flavor. There was no miso flavor and definitely didn't have a glaze. Really, the only ingredient that was enjoyable was the pickled onions. This was A TOTAL WASTE OF $40! The salmon bowl was tossed in the garbage and the fajita bowl was somewhat salvageable, but a good portion was also dumped. I wish we would have just went to Mendocino Farms. I can guarantee we won't return to Sweetgreen. read more

This is a great Sweetgreen location in a shopping center with available parking. You very likely know what you're going to get with Sweetgreen at this point - lots of fresh produce, locally sourced ingredients, plenty of options for vegans/vegetarians/flexitarians/any type of dietary restriction, etc. I do like that you can customize your bowls/salads to your whim, but I've found their menu selections to do the leg work for me. The crispy rice bowl is my personal favorite - great balance of freshness, texture, bold flavors which all come together with that excellent tangy dressing. Most of the menu items I've had from Sweetgreen are up to this level of quality; you'll be hardpressed to find something that isn't up your alley, no matter the type of cuisine you're looking for. Though Sweetgreen gets a bit of flack for being the place that introduced the $15-20 salad, I think considering the cost of living these days, the freshness of ingredients, the overall clean atmosphere, and quick, friendly service, it's absolutely worth the price. It's food that both tastes good and makes you feel better after consuming, and I'd highly recommend! read more

When this place opened, they had amazing salads, fresh ingredients, and really good fresh lettuce, kale, and arugula. The price has always been high but the quality was top notch. Over the last few weeks, and you can see by the picture, the quality has gone down dramatically. Not only the quantity is less, but the salad is very often wilted and sort of mushed like when the store bag salad gets over the expiration date. I have given it time and come back a couple of more times hoping it was a bad day or two, but I am totally done. Not only is not worth the money but it's pretty ridiculous that the price you can even get fresh lettuce. Big bummer. read more

I will say that the service was pleasant and the girl who helped us was very nice. However, and maybe it is because this is a newer location... the food was really bad and very overpriced. I ordered the miso salmon plate and my aunt ordered the bbq chicken salad. The salmon was a pretty small portion and had it been a better presentation and flavor that wouldn't have bothered me but it was just not very good. The bbq chicken salad also did not have much chicken, wasn't seasoned very well and there were huge chunks of unchopped romaine. We asked for dressing on the side and it wasn't even enough to cover the huge pieces of romaine. The restaurant itself was very clean, well lit, there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and we did not have to wait in line but we weren't happy at all with the taste, portion or presentation of the food it looks much better in the photos. read more

Excited to have this food option around but the staff is just not that friendly. I would say the ten times I've been here, I cringe having to ask for an extra side or something. For instance when I didn't know you had to press a button on the app to get the bread and I nicely asked for it, I get a rude response back about how I need to do it on the app. Or when I ask for a side on dressing I don't event get dog died with. A response. Just a side out down on the counter. This isn't the first place this is going on. It's just frustrating to want to eat somewhere but be so nervous to ask for something because it seems like you're pissing off the staff just by being there. Hopefully management reads this and can let the employees know the basic etiquette to being just a human and also running a business. read more

I was excited to see Sweetgreen open at The Pruneyard. I've long been a fan of their food. We were enjoying a beer at nearby Out of the Barrel, which encourages customers to order take out from the nearby restaurants. My only complaint is that it said my bowl would take over 30 minutes to be ready, but it was actually ready much quicker. I walked over to the restaurant to see if my food was ready because I could tell it wasn't busy. Not sure how long it had been sitting there in the bag, but it was ready at least 15 mins earlier than the Yelp app said it would be. read more

I really enjoyed my Sweetgreen salad! I've gone twice now and both salads were consistently sized, proportionate and tasty. The restaurant feels like it's built for pick up though and not dine in, I noticed not much seating and the ambiance just gives the a vibe that's purely a pick up/ convenience spot. I usually enjoy the salads at Sweetgreen when I go for lunch. My friend and I went there for dinner for the first time. The wait was long, they were busy making salads for Doordash customers. When they finally got to us, they were still distracted and not paying attention. The greens portion was very small, and they overcharged me. I don't find it to be a good value to pay $15 for a salad to be given half the usual portion. Very disappointed. Not sure we will be back. read more

**disclaimer: my rating is specifically from a celiacs perspective** Two stars because they need further education to their staff They advertise about being aware of celiacs and allergens, but not all staff trained fully. Yesterday my service person tried, he really did. As soon as I stated I have celiacs he washed his hands changed his gloves, let the other person on the line know he was dealing with an allergy...I felt good at first. However, ended up just purchasing my 20$ salad and giving it to my friends, watched them eat because I did not feel safe. Upon order, my server washed his hands, as stated above; I then stated I needed soy, gluten, egg, dairy free (lupus and celiacs here) and asked his recommendation. He said the mushroom bowl: which if you read contains tofu (soy), mushrooms (not sure what sautéed in) and specifically miso dressing. I stopped him and said miso has soy, he did his due diligence and got out the allergen book which I can appreciate but he clearly didn't understand what soy or gluten is in. I asked what was in the spicy cashew topping and he said it was safe but I was not feeling at ease about it. I thought ok educate a little but by this time, a line formed. He was going to grab my bowl items from the line, which I asked if he could get me stuff from the back, he got my kale only and grabbed the mushrooms, chicken(added price because I couldn't have tofu), and all other toppings from the line, so I knew immediately I would not be eating this bowl. Paid my 20$ for the bowl and like stated above watched my friends eat because I couldn't risk the CROSS CONTAMINATION. I'm not at all mad at the young man helping me, he really tried. I just was so disappointed that with the allergy safety they advertise that the staff is not more educated in cross contamination, that celiacs need gluten free not just for a diet; we will literally be sick, for days if exposed. I love Sweetgreen when it's good. Today was not one of those days. I got 2x Hot Honey Chickens and a mini meze and it was all bad. There was almost no chicken in our hot honey bowls, the chicken in the bowl was shredded and sooooo dry. The sweet potatoes were charred. My son's mini mezze bowl had more chicken than our bowls. Unfortunately, his tortilla chips were smashed to a powder so he couldn't dip them the hummus. Very bummed on this almost $50 meal. read more

The people who work have too much attitude towards customers.
