I love this place and it's one of my go-to spots but I went earlier this week and realized when I checked out that it asked for a tip. Now I am usually a big tipper but it took about a minute to put my salad together and I realized there wasn't an option for 'no tip'. I thought that was kinda odd and I looked closer. They had put a piece of tape OVER the button for the no tip option. I said out loud 'ohh it's covered!' & the girl checking me out looked at me sheepishly and let out a nervous laugh. Again, I almost ALWAYS tip everywhere I go & I leave good tips but after seeing THAT, I definitely didn't want to leave any tip. That's sneaky and dishonest!! read more

best location in socal! i can't say enough great things about the team/food quality/service at Sweetgreen Encino. because of our busy schedules, my boyfriend and i eat here 4-5 time a week. they are the most consistently nutritious and fresh meal we can get at a solid price point that keeps us full and meeting our nutrition goals . most products on property are seed oil free and organic, which is a must for any place we dine. Everyone on staff is always so kind and helpful. Asael, Chris, Jameson, Brenna, Nick, to name a few, all on line serving us nearly everyday keeping the quality at great standard. we can count on flavor and freshness all 5 days a week, lunch or dinner. lately, the most iconic flavor of siete chip (green goddess) is now available exclusively at Sweetgreen has me in a chokehold. I'm in Non Profit work, and they've helped me secure these chips as a snack option for my events, so grateful to Elizabeth and Laura for their kindness here! i'm happy i live near such a neighborhood vibe chain restaurant. i've been to plenty other locations of Sweetgreen that just simply don't compare. the integrity of service and product quality at the only food place i trust to make my life easier adds a little extra ease to my day to day. even if i move i'd probably still come to the Encino location. good peeps and good eats! read more

The food is what keeps me coming back, but never again to this location. I order sweetgreen multiple times a week and always receive prompt, friendly service from other locations. However every time I come to the Encino location, the employees are slow to service their customers. They appear to be burdened by the responsibility of customer service. They are unapproachable and don't appear confident in how to greet or tend to a customer. I waited in an empty restaurant as multiple employees passed me by before finally getting acknowledged. Just to be told that my pick up order was directly next to an employee that had been standing with her head down the whole time. For the price we pay, quality service should be the bare minimum. I had the absolute worst experience ordering food, picking up the food, then eating it. I tried calling to get help with my order, but their phones don't get answered ever... I tried canceling my order online two seconds after placing the order, and I was told that I could not cancel my order. Why would this even be an option? Yes, I can't cancel?? I had to rush to go pick up the food because they wouldn't let me change the pick up time and when I got it the chicken in my bowl was super bland. The employees are amazing! The food has potential to be phenomenal. However, when it's 110 degrees outside and the establishment does not have any air conditioning, they don't deserve a single star. Turns out that the company doesn't put the air conditioning on during the weekends. The fresh food was no longer fresh but more importantly the employees were in these horrible working conditions. It is ridiculous to me that employees have to go to work KNOWING that there will be zero cool air to work for 8+ hours in. I have filed an official complaint with the company. However, I will use every platform I can to raise awareness so that these employees no longer work under these conditions: I'm appalled. read more

It's my first time ordering food for a pick up. I ordered crispy rice bowl. I had high expectations because I'm paying $16 for a salad. When I got my bowl there's a lot of add ons missing. There's NO dressing, no rice crispy, no almonds am like wth. I'm very disappointed. sweetgreen has great tasting food... That's not the reason for the three stars. Three of my last four orders have been wrong. When I look at my account history, I see that they've given me five dollars to seven dollars each time. I really think it's just this location... It's too bad they can't get it right. However, none of the orders were bad... In fact, most of them were great. So I guess I'll keep ordering from this location, hoping they eventually improve their service... and at least they compensate me for their mistakes lol. read more

Wow, I don't even know where to start... We came in to order the hot honey chicken plate and a build your own salad as we do all the time. Unfortunately, we were greeted with bad attitudes and rude staff, the feminine co-worker that served our plates tried to give me two small pieces of chicken on the hot honey chicken plate that I always get, I told him they always put more than two small pieces of chicken, he got upset and walked away rudely to get his manager Jackie. Jackie came in hot, she explained to me that the portion size is the two small pieces of chicken. Clearly that's a lie and she only cared to defend her employee even though she knew she was wrong with the portion sizing. She continued to double down and repeat herself multiple times like some robot who doesn't listen to anything. For some odd reason her only prerogative is to ruin the customer service experience and loose loyal customers for good. By far, the worst experience ever!
