Delightful little bistro full of life and love from the second you walk in to the moment you leave. The design of the place mixes homey comfort with a clean modern flair, and decor seems to mix Blizzard paraphernalia with some kind of old American farmhouse. It works, somehow! Staff is very friendly and the food is great, for a decent price. I had a grilled cheese with tomato bisque and fries. The fries really were amazing. Thick, flavorful, and with just the right amount of salt. The grilled cheese was tasty, though it felt like it was either a bit light on the cheese, or the cheese blend itself wasn't as flavorful as I would expect. The tomato bisque was the weak link here, tasting more like a thick tomato basil without much hint of cream at all. Still, overall I really liked the place, and the rest of my party who coincidentally all ordered different items were very pleased. So I will certainly be going back to try something different, and hopefully be able to update this review with higher marks. read more

The bulgogi was some of the most flavorful and most tender I've ever had. The care and the effort they put into their food really shows through. The strong working relationship that is fostered between the staff is also very apparent. You can tell that they are like a family and they'll treat you like family, too. This is a cute little spot tucked away in the corner of a company plaza. The food is just down to earth tasty with fresh ingredients and interesting selections. For instance, the korean bbq beef was INCREDIBLE and very unusual to end up on this type of menu. Yet it works so well as a comforting sweet, tender beef with fresh slaw. Additionally, the pesto turkey sando was so pretty on the rye bread with a slightly bitter undertone that compliments the savory pesto. The breakfast burrito is better than most despite having standard ingredients (the difference maker is the fluffiness of the tortilla). French toast was pretty standard good but not too special. Great atmosphere with the outdoor seating area, and excellent, excellent sandwiches. My wife and I tried both the Tuna Melt and the Oink Oink Melt. The former was very good, but the Oink Oink was out of this world. Their handmade chips and fries are delicious as well. They were very accommodating for ingredient substitutes and overall friendly demeanor I had the turkey pesto both hot and cold versions. The quantity is pretty big and the bread isn't soggy which is a plus. Overall pretty good sandwich and bigger than I expected which is always a plus. At the end of the order a she asked if we wanted drinks. We told her that we already ordered coffee, Black. It took 10 minutes to get the coffee. One came black and the other came with cream. My girlfriend thought the bead, bacon and salsa Verde were spot on. The eggs did not have salt or pepper. It was a decent meal but not worth the price. Hope they step it up. read more

Love this little neighborhood gem! Heard about it last year but never had a chance to visit it since it kind of fell off my radar. I came here last Fri for lunch with some coworkers who highly recommended it. The kbbq sandwich is the most popular but I love my pastrami so opted for that one w/ an upgrade of fries. I'm a fattie at heart so got a side of tater tots as well. Staff are super friendly and nice which is always a plus. The pastrami sandwich was really good and the cuts were not overly fatty but I thought the meat was a tad salty like others. The bread was soft and the sauerkraut added a nice balance to the pastrami. Fries were excellent and cooked to perfection. I liked the tater tots as well (crispy on outside, soft on inside) but actually preferred the fries. I am definitely going back since it's so close to my work. We walked in around lunch and it was fairly crowded which is always a good sign. We talked with the guy at the front about the menu and what he suggested. He said the Korean BBQ beef sandwich and the turkey pesto sandwich were best, neither disappointed. The turkey pesto came with a generous amount of turkey and this tasty pesto spread, it came on swirl bread. The turkey pesto was good and I highly recommend it, but the Korean BBQ beef was unreal! They were nice but they messed up my order. I ordered a Korean beef sandwhich with a Caesar salad instead of chips ($4 upcharge). The "Caesar salad" was just tomatoes and the thick romaine veins, it's like they cutoff off the leafy party of the romaine to use elsewhere. There was no parmesan , croutons, or pepper. I asked them to fix it, they gave me a side of parm. When I got back to the office I realized they included chips with the sandwich, then I realized they had charged me for a full side of Caesar instead of a substitute for chips like I asked. My brother and sister in-law oder from here (order either pick up or door dash) and I will usually order the caprese or veggie melt . The food has always been consistent but today.....today was by far the best. I ordered the veggie melt but substituted the garlic aoli for the balsamic glaze to try something different and OMG it was delicious and the best decision I made. The turkey pesto arugula sandwich seems like a basic sandwich, but it is definitely not. From the bread, turkey, arugula, and the pesto sauce... god everything is just perfect! This Breakfast Burrito nails it. 1) The foundation is perfect: Great tortilla, and _perfectly-cooked_ eggs, cooked to order (not pre-scrambled and warming on the back corner of the grill). Cage free too, if you're into that kinda thing. 2) The core is beautiful. Both sausage and bacon included. Potatoes. And available avocado so it's got it all. 3) Salsa: fresh!! I was able to try both, and they're awesome. Brace yourself if you go spicy, it'll kick your mouth pretty hard, in a good way. 4) Stands Apart: S'wich's Breakfast Burrito quickly moved into my top-3, and is flirting with #1, because of the extra details which set it apart from the others. Namely, the potatoes are spiced, perfectly cooked, and grilled _with_ the meat, not just thrown on top of the pile before being wrapped up. It really makes a difference...I kinda want to eat a second one this morning. It's in a small commercial center across from the hospitals, and I kind wish my office was here so that I could walk over here for breakfast...and probably for lunch too, the lunch menu looks ridiculous. As an aside: I gotta get my hands on whatever the owner, Bruce, takes in the morning. The guy is _everywhere_! The food is good, but the prices are a bit high for what you get. It's Irvine though, so rent is probably high too. I work right across the street so I come here occasionally for lunch. It's always packed with the Blizzard folks and indoor seating is limited, but there's outdoor seating as well. My go-to is the Korean BBQ Beef sandwich. So much flavor! And the slaw on top is perfect. The only con is that the bottom bread gets soggy from all of the juices so you'll have to eat it quick or reheat it in a toaster oven. It comes with house-made potato chips which are not too salty and perfectly crunchy, but you can upgrade to any of their sides. Service is a big slow since their food is made to order, so I recommend calling your order in and just picking it up. Unless you want to wait 15 minutes every time. read more

If you are picking up take out...CHECK THE ORDER before you leave! If you add anything to your order (like bacon or avo), Double CHECK to see if they added it because they probably didn't. I visited S'wich Bistro for the first time on (10/4/2017) for lunch with fellow Yelpers Angie M and Gabe P. Parking can be a challenge. S'wich as it's located in a small strip mall within a business park and several other business parks including Blizzard Entertainment nearby. There's a lot going on here and parking spaces are at a premium during the lunch rush. The interior of S'wich is open and inviting. You place your order at the counter and then the food is delivered to your table. There is a small seating area inside and large patio area outside. The menu consists of a nice selection of salads, cold and hot sandwiches, burgers and sides. S'wich uses a selection of local sourced and homemade ingredients. All of the food I saw being delivered looked very delicious. On my first visit I ordered the Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque which is served with housemade potato chips and a pickle. The grilled cheese was prepared perfectly and just the way I like it. The bread was nicely grilled and the cheese was fully melted, gooey and delicious. Each bite was met by a very rewarding crunch. The tomato bisque was hot, thick and savory. It was the prefect lunch time portion and I left satisfied. If I worked close enough to walk I would be a regular visitor but having to drive and park makes a bit too much of a chore for a quick lunch. If you're local and in the mood for a good lunch at a reasonable price then I highly recommend. read more

I've been here three times. The first time I got the chicken club - delish. The second time, the turkey pesto and chicken club. The turkey pesto was OK. I wasn't that impressed tbh. The chicken club was good again, but a little soggy. I bought them in the morning and we ate them a few hours later. This last time I went, I got the Korean BBQ, I didn't eat this until about an hour after picking it up, and it had gone soggy too. It was OK. Maybe I'm just over bulgogi. We often do KBBQ at home, so it didn't blow me away. Overall, service is very friendly. The chicken club is solid. After hearing a couple of my family members rave about this sandwich shop for a while, I decided to stop by and give it a try. I got the turkey pesto sandwich, and let me just say, this was probably the best sandwich I've ever had in a long time. The ingredients are super high quality, and you can tell that everything is made fresh. (if you get this sandwich, be sure to add bacon and avocado!) Not to mention, the service is amazing; the workers are so friendly and positive, so it made my time there a very pleasant and inviting experience. The service was very good, everyone was extremely friendly & accommodating. I have been wanting to come here for quite awhile, but since their hours are limited to 8-4 and during the week only, it was hard to find the time. Breakfast is served from 8-11, lunch after that, no exceptions, also some items such as the pulled pork were not ready yet at both of my visits, something I really wanted to try. Their veggie burger was very good, much more bun than patty for my taste, but all had great flavors. The tater tots are well worth the meal upgrade, much better than the fries, I would get those again. My husband enjoyed his pastrami burger, while very light on the pastrami, he enjoyed that much more than the burger itself and would get the pastrami sandwich next time. Service is excellent, very friendly and efficient, they work hard and really care about their customers and product. Huge fan of their burgers! The size is massive... I have to split it with someone, and I'm still full. I usually get the good ol faithful. The patty is thick, got it well-done and it was stilll juicy. a lot of veggies covered with thousand island dressing. Potato bun is chewy, doesn't get soggy too quickly. I also really like their fries. Its the right thickness for me. Has a crisp exterior. Not too salty. Their tater tots are super crispy. Can't stop eating them! I also tried their korean bbq sandwich, which is a ton of bulgogi. Only thing is, the flavor profile was a bit much for me - tangy, salty, all the flavors you would imagine based on the ingredients but heightened. The sandwich would've been good with half the beef for a more balanced taste. I felt like I needed a bowl of rice to eat with half of the bbq beef.
