In a non-Covid world, this place would probably earn another star. But in the current environment, I can't justify granting it. Patrons: be warned. This is a large, crowded restaurant, social distancing isn't enforced and neither is mask wearing. I was actually concerned because there was an elderly woman playing the piano in the dining area maskless. While I'm sure that was her own decision, I still couldn't help but be concerned for her wellbeing given the current state of the world. Covid practices aside, this is a cute diner. Service was generally attentive, and the food portions were huge and delicious. I ordered an omelet (which was described as three eggs, but it felt like more) with ham, cheese, mushrooms and bell peppers, and it was served with hash browns and choice of bread (I chose a biscuit). The omelet was well cooked and the eggs were fluffy and the biscuit was enormous and delicious, even without butter or jam. I definitely took home over half my food as leftovers for later, and they were still just as good then. Their seating/paying system seems a little disorganized, and could probably use a little assistance. The hostess stand is approached from both sides (one side for payment and one side for putting your name down on the list), but there was only ever one person operating the register/maintaining the list. Great diner! If we were local we'd be here all the time! Worth noting that this is on the ground floor of a building with a pharmacy and a little shop. We were looking for a stand alone building so didn't notice it at first. Good parking area though, we had no trouble getting a spot. There was a wait but it was worth it, Food was delish! They do not neeed this review. What an incredible business ran like a well-oiled machine. This is our second time here, the first time we took it to go and even in the styrofoam, it was DEEELICIOUS! The ham is so "tendah", the Hollandaise has a little spice to it. The waitress told us they like to use a little white pepper as a finisher spice, so good! Speaking of the waitress, she was the sweetest gal you'd ever meet. I didn't catch her name but short black hair with shaved sides, and glasses. The hostess name was bayley and she was also so friendly. The dirty chai over at the coffee bar was just right, not too sweet. Love love love this place! Can't say enough about it! read more

Very fast service if you get there early. Husband and I got the country fried steak and some huge breakfast burrito. For me the gravy was too sweet but my husband loved it. The second time we went was about an hour before closing but we thought it would be fine since they were so fast the time before. We didn't get our food until we'll after 3pm because they had decided to close the kitchen early. There were about 4 other tables dealing with the same issue. We were heading to the airport after a week long trip and wanted to snag some breakfast prior to our day of travel. We wanted to try to go somewhere "local". After reviewing a few yelp reviews of local places we decided to go to Sykes. I did the breakfast sandwich with my egg over medium. The sausage was delicious mixed with the biscuit and egg. I did opt to not eat the top biscuit because the full biscuit was HUGE! The hashbrown was also delicious, just added a tad of salt. I did get to taste the pancakes and they were awesome! The 0.10 coffee was also an added value :) The staff was friendly, which was an extra bonus. read more

Massive portions! The breakfast saddle bag was really good- it sits on the best country sausage gravy I've had in montana. The three meat burrito bomb was MASSIVE! It is that good. We also had a side of biscuit and gravy. We are from the south so biscuits were different but it was tasty. Wish we lived close enough to be a regular. Our waitress was so nice. Hands down the best place to have breakfast in Flathead County. You can't go wrong with 10¢ coffee. Nobody leaves hungry. I'm pretty sure the cooks could satiate a horde of hungry sumo wrestlers without even breaking a sweat. If you're lucky enough to get there before they run out of cinnamon rolls, get one, it's worth the diabetes it'll cause. read more

Excellent local diner with everything you can want and more! I ordered the Country Fried Steak with it all! OMG the biscuit was bigger than my head! The steak was hand breaded and pounded and HUGE and the gravy made from their homemade sausage was amazing! Hubby got his pancake and eggs and couldn't wait for me to take the picture. The pies are "rip off" tourist priced at $33 with a $7 tin deposit. This is for a chocolate cream pie. Nothing special.
