Not a big breakfast fan but the wife is hungry and across the street is Syrup that she wants to try. If I'm having breakfast, it is all about the biscuits and gravy. Syrup is unique in they have 6 different types of syrup for their breakfast treats. The restaurant was fairly busy for mid-week. A limited staff, but they are hustling. One staff has the back of his jeans well below his butt and is two moves from a full moon. This is not what I want to see especially any time of day. The staff dress code needs to be addressed. Families are plentiful here and the noise level is high. We ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy, an egg and a plain pancake with coconut syrup. The biscuit was dense and huge. There was an abundance of sausage and good taste in the gravy. The pancake was light and fluffy. The coconut syrup was the cherry on top. The egg was fine. As I previously stated, breakfast is not my jam. The biscuit and gravy was good but the meal was not remarkable. If you are a breakfast fan, I would encourage you to give them a try. We tried Syrup for the first time today, and let's just say the experience was more "sticky situation" than sweet. We were seated quickly and the menu had plenty of options, which was promising. But then our waitress showed up, took our order, and apparently decided her shift was over. No coffee refills, no straws, no "how's the food?"--not even a polite glance in our direction. The only time she reappeared was when she slid the bill onto the table like she was dropping off bad news. Meanwhile, when we flagged down another staff member about a missing egg on a burger, he whisked the plate away, then triumphantly returned with... the original plate and a lonely fried egg on the side. His exact words: "Hope this will work and we don't have to remake it." Ah yes, the gold standard of customer service..... hope. As for the food, my skillet had so much oil it could have doubled as a dip for breadsticks. Inedible doesn't even begin to cover it. And the cherry on this sundae? The receipt. Along with the overpriced meal, they tacked on a mysterious "restaurant impact surcharge" and "kitchen staffing fee." Cute trick, but if you're going to nickel-and-dime customers with hidden charges, at least have the decency to warn us on the menu first. Bottom line: Syrup was a flop; disappointing food, lackluster service, and surprise fees that make you feel like you're funding their payroll. Big portions and yummy hearty options of both sweet and salty. Crystal and I came here for brunch and we really enjoyed our visit. Coffee and mimosas and some egg dishes including the photo below that had a smothered gravy situation going on and it was definitely more than enough for the both of us. But we also got French toast and just had a crazy amount of food left over! The service was pretty decent as well with them checking on us quite a bit even with a very busy crowd. The place was a fun vibe and everyone seems to have a good time while they are here both appropriate for friends and for family. It was a large space with enough room to get around so I understand my experience might be different than average. The waitress was kind. The menu was simple to read with many options. The coffee was good! And my huevos rancheros was delicious. Always sunny side up with this dish. I didn't know what to expect with the loaded tots on the side but they were wonderful. Everything came out hot. There is definitely no need to worry about if you'll be stuffed afterward. This is the perfect place to go to catchup with friends and discuss event plans. The food is ok. I really like the pancakes. They definitely provide great portions. The only thing that we noticed is that they don't have mimosa flights which. I enjoy only when I'm with others. I've had some very nice experiences at Syrup. I enjoyed my drinks and coffees and of course the breakfast food. I love a big delicious brunch. The portions were huge and Ryan and I definitely always have left overs or need to learn to just split a meal more often- but it sure is fun to both get different items and try each others stuff. It's a little loud inside but it happened to be a very busy time of day. The service was quite fast and the staff overall seemed very friendly even with a busy brunch hour time of day. I would like to try some of the other Syrup locations as well since I don't spend a ton of time in the Cherry Creek area but this was great for our times we spent there on a couple weekend visits. read more

All have diff creative names in the photos. No vegan cheese options here if you don't eat cheese I got a strawberry greens salad, skipped the feta. I know it's not a traditional breakfast food so maybe why the recipe isn't perfected. If you view my pictures, it's very clear that the chicken was not fresh and if it was fresh, it was processed and if it wasn't processed, it was cooked until it could be as dry as possible to ensure that there were no juices flowing through that piece of meat. It was supposed to be roasted but was dry and not flavorful, completely inedible. My candied walnuts were definitely not candied. That was disappointing. Raspberry vinaigrette dressing was watered down and flavorless. The actual spring mix greens and fruit of the salad were fresh and fine. I also got the so-called crème brûlée oatmeal with the fresh berries. The oatmeal was a great consistency, but completely flavorless. Cooked with nothing. Not a pinch of salt, cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar... nothing! I added all these things to the oatmeal after I brought it home because again the texture of the oatmeal was great. I just knew it needed some sprucing up so it was an acceptable leftover item to bring home where I did add cinnamon, vanilla extract, and a brown sugar alternative along with some walnuts and Keto honey. So I will say that the consistency was good enough for me to take it home and fix it myself because the oats were definitely good quality. I wasn't gonna waste that. The crème brûlée sugar on top was flamed well, and did crack when hit with a spoon, but offered no additional elements to the overall taste of the oatmeal. The fresh berries that I added were fresh and edible no complaints there, but they didn't have the sweetness that was needed for the oatmeal. The portion size of the serving of the oatmeal was great. My chai tea latte with almond milk was delicious! I love the mug because I loved the dish sets used here. The flavor was fantastic not overly sweet and it did come with some whipped cream, which I didn't ask for. I'm actually not sure if it was whipped cream or just milk foam or something. Had I known that I would've passed, but I'm glad i didn't because it wasn't bad at all. It wasnt an excessive amount and didn't distract from the taste of the chai, which is why I am leaning on calling it a foam with a dash of cinnamon on top. My late that was the most delicious thing about everything I ordered. No one else complained about any of their food, but no one was saying it was the best food they ever had. We all loved the location and we all loved the seating space and lighting. Parking is not easy and is paid meters if you can find a meter. I circled four or five times before finding something. Shamefully I have to admit that I also turned the wrong way on a one-way street... so think "downtown" sharpness off the mind when you come out here. lol. It was not very chill in that respect. Again, the location was great and if you are able to park near the actual restaurant, it's located very close to the Cherry Creek farmers market (two light walking distance). After the meal and saying goodbye to everyone, I went ahead and took myself on a walk to the Cherry Creek farmers market after adding some extra time to my meter. So it's a great location if you want to walk around. A really nice area for after eating and there's little shops and other eateries around. A tea shop that we wanted to go to was closed next-door but there's a little cutesy things like that to do around the area and it's a good way to make "a morning thing" out of a breakfast with friends or family. If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered through Grubhub, and after multiple delays and cancellations, I called the restaurant repeatedly--no one answered. Eventually, I had to show up in person just to figure out what was going on. The restaurant was completely empty except for one table, so I have no idea why the phone was going unanswered. When I explained the situation, the male host laughed and casually said, "Yeah, that always happens," like it was some kind of inside joke. Then he disappeared to get my food--which, by the way, they never even started because they didn't have a ticket for it. Total chaos, no apology, no urgency, just a shrug and a smirk. I get that a lot of this is on Grubhub, but if you know the platform is a disaster, why would you keep funneling your customers through it? Why continue partnering with a service that clearly doesn't work--unless you just don't care about your customers at all? I waited over 90 minutes for food that barely beats IHOP. There are 3 locations of Syrup in Denver & this location is in cherry creek, which I figured would be less hectic than going downtown. I was a group of 3 this am and although it looked extremely busy, we were seated in 5 minutes! Our server was friendly and prompt! We were instantly given big ice waters & she was great about checking in throughout the meal. The menu is extensive and they have a variety of common breakfast dishes, an entire section of Benedict's, tons of fancy French toast and pancakes and a lunch menu. I went for the California eggs Benedict because I'm a sucker for the veggies. Mine came with asparagus, tomatoes and avocado atop an English muffin and topped with a poached egg that had a perfect ooze when popped. Your option for a side is "smashed tater tots"...I don't know what's up with the smash, so I asked if I could just have tater tots without the smashing lol. My request was fulfilled and our whole table hot extra crispy which I would recommend!!! The food was really good, my only complaint is that the Benedict didn't have enough hollandaise sauce and I don't think the sauce was thick enough. That is the most important part of the Benny so I was just a bit disappointed! In Denver for the weekend, and this was a secondary choice that turned out to be a hit. We arrived around 9:30 am and we were seated right away. There was a wait at 10:30. It's a flexible space allowing them to seat small parties and large parties together. I enjoyed the Aztec omelette and a flight of sand dollar pancakes. The omelette has chorizo, which was not too spicy, just flavorful. It comes with a green chili sauce on top, which normally I might shoed away from but this was the same- very flavorful and the right balance to chorizo. I ate all of this 3 egg omelette. The pancakes were just to try the different syrup options. I grew up on boysenberry syrup a iHop, so I am in search of the next great syrup. I tried the blackberry and the maple vanilla. As its name makes obvious, Syrup is a place that specializes in syrup. Aside from syrup though, Syrup also specializes in butter. Their syrups and butters are handcrafted and come in multiple flavors. Paired with them is a good breakfast. The breakfast menu consists of waffles, pancakes, French toasts, eggs benedicts, omelets, and a few specialty dishes. Lunch consists of burgers, sandwiches, soups, and salads. The menu might sound like there is not much on it, but there are a lot of variations to the dishes on the menu. My boyfriend and I have been to Syrup twice, and we have tried the strawberry fields waffle, cherry creeker eggs benedict, the remedy, and the eggs, ham, and cheese waffle sliders. The waffles are light and slightly crispy. The strawberry fields waffle was not too heavy of a breakfast since it was topped with a bunch of fresh strawberries. On the other hand, the eggs, ham, and cheese sliders was a heavier breakfast since it is pretty much a fluffy omelet sandwiched in between the halves of a waffle. The cherry creeker eggs benedict was super delicious, and the menu boasts that it is the dish that made Syrup famous. The remedy is super delicious too. A plate of green chili, chorizo, eggs, and a bunch of cottage fries is not the healthiest option, but the combination makes for a very comforting breakfast. While syrup is supposed to be the specialty, I found the savory dishes to be more memorable. The remedy was my favorite of the dishes that I had tried, and the eggs benedict was second on my list. Third was the strawberry fields waffle since you can never go wrong with fresh fruit atop a hot waffle. Last was the waffle sliders - eggs and maple syrup are not my kind of combo. Syrup is open for both breakfast and lunch, but I have no desire to try the lunch menu with how delicious the breakfast menu is. The prices are pretty reasonable, and the portions are filling enough without being too hearty. The staff is nice, and the service is okay. Ordered through door-dash this morning after my workout. Super easy to order and syrup provided an estimated time it would be ready. When I arrived, it was pretty quiet - this was my first time walking into this location and was surprised how large it is, and how nice and bright it is for being downstairs/below street level. I ordered the garden omelette, without peppers, and subbed fruit for a side. The omelette was delicious - packed with asparagus, mushrooms, zucchini and feta cheese (yum)! I'm typically more of a savory breakfast girl, but I have been craving pancakes ever since I saw this place by my hotel. I came one morning when it first opened, so no one was there except for one other person. My waitress was awesome. She kept stopping by to make sure I was doing alright, and she made sure to answer all of my questions. I got the traditional pancakes with maple vanilla syrup, plus a side of fruit (to at least try to balance out all of the sugar). The pancakes were pretty good, but I think I expected them to be better. The fruit also looked a bit old, so there were some pieces I couldn't really eat. I wish I liked the food more because the service was phenomenal and everyone was so friendly. Although it was an average meal, I didn't pay much for it.
