Fuck this fucken dumb ass place. Eric is a WIERDOOOO!!!!!! MF DEAD ASS WASTED MY TIME. Made me feel so disrespected. Bro really cut into my appt time 2p & pulled some BULLSHIT. I casually mentioned to him I had stopped getting my nails abt 2 yrs n I was back for my first set again. He was cutting into my appt time still doing someone else's nails after I arrived 10min earlier. (This is coming from someone who is not entitled and very understanding ,I've tried going 3 times already because it's near by and each 3 times I walked out . I am not one to write bad reviews but today I really felt the need to do so. I came in to get my nails done with Eric & I am truly truly disappointed & upset. So I came in to get almond French tips (gel x) with little diamonds on each nail. The nails didn't last me 3 days before they started to chip, the diamonds fell off & then I realized that they were see through. I sent Eric a text with proof & wanted a refund & he said that they don't do refunds but he offered to "re do" them. I sent him that text on Saturday but he said that he wasn't available till Monday. Monday comes & he sends me a message that he will only re add the diamonds the fell off. Like what ? I was a little disappointed that the nails didn't come out right but I was trying to be understanding because we all have our days and it happens, but I am more so upset that even with proof he didn't offer to give me a refund or even re do the nails completely for that matter ! This is a salon that I've frequented for 7 years, but I will now be taking my money elsewhere. I've seen many nail techs come and go from this salon, some of which were my "favorite" techs, but I have always been able to find a new one or have Tracy as my go-to. I took a break from nails during the pandemic, but recently came back to this salon and saw mostly new faces. A guy (I know his name but won't put it in this review) started on my nails and I immediately knew he was not as skilled as previous techs that have worked here. When he was done, he had painted four coats of the lime green gel that I had picked. The gel was ridiculously thick, lumpy and uneven, with some spots missing. I pointed these apparent flaws out to him and he simply said, "This color is really hard to paint," and then walked away. If you've experienced difficulty with this color, maybe I don't know...advise me to pick a different color? Pass me along to another tech that can paint this color? There are many ways this could have played out without giving me a poor paint job and then calling it a day. Eric, who recognized me from before I took my nail break, could see my disappointment and offered to redo them for me if I was not satisfied. Clearly I was not satisfied and so I accepted. Eric and Jenny worked on my nails and they turned out great! Yup, that same "very hard to paint" lime green color. During our session, I even told them I felt terrible and didn't want the other tech to feel bad. We joked about how "difficult" I am. Or at least I thought we were joking. This brings me to today. My bestie (who I referred here years ago) called to make an appointment for today. They gladly made an appointment for her and indicated she could even walk-in if she didn't have a preferred nail tech. After hanging up, we realized she forgot to note it was for two people since we were planning to go together. Shortly after, (ten minutes), I called to make an appointment for myself and what do you know..they are now magically booked all of today (Wednesday) and tomorrow (Thursday). Lol, please, let's be real here. I rush to tell my bestie what happened and that maybe we have to make an appointment another day where we can go together. At this point, I'm just confused why they're all booked. My bestie then reveals that the last time she got her nails done (without me), they told her that I'm too "difficult" and they don't want to service me anymore! She thought they were joking! I guess they weren't. If you no longer wish to service me, then you should tell me, not tell my friend. No need to make up excuses and pretend you're all booked on a Wednesday morning. Everyone can see through that BS. This salon that I once enjoyed so much and recommended to all my friends has really disappointed me today. Instead of putting the blame on me (the customer), maybe work on improving your skill, technique, and customer service. The blatant disrespect and lack of professionalism speak volumes. Having high standards is not a fault nor does it make one "difficult." I won't apologize for not accepting subpar quality on a service that I am paying for. I have always tipped at least 30% at this salon and during my last visit, I gladly tipped Eric a $20 bill on services that cost no more than $50, that's 40% btw. I am always happy to pay for excellent service, but I refuse to continue supporting a business that just talks trash behind my back. So peace out, T&K! I've been coming here for 5 years on & off. I used to come & Tracy used to always do my acrylics & I would get crazy colors & designs. I loved. I recommended everyone here. I stopped coming for a while - took a break from acrylics. 2019 I start coming again but just regular gel manicure & pedicure... & I hate to say it but every time I come I stare at my nails because SOMETHING about them isn't perfect. Now I know perfect is hard - but I'm paying for a service so I expect them to be as close to perfect as possible. They're all nice. For the most part they all know me because I come so often & I hate being the complainer or telling them how to do their job so I don't. I know I should if I don't like something but it's embarrassing to tell someone how to do their job. You're suppose to trust them. So the past three times: 1. I got baby blue & in the sun you could literally see my real nail under 2. I got red nails & he did three cotes on all of them except 3 nails on my right hand because he stepped away & forgot which hand he was on. I told him but he insisted he went over them... I left & could tell the difference in shades 3. Third time was the charm... This is the last time I come back.. I made an appt & the new girl who did my toes, Lo, was amazing, detail oriented & gentle - but the guy doing my hands who I believe is also new cause I've never seen him, didn't even take the red polish I had from before fully off - soaked my gel nails for one minute & buzzed the rest off. He did two cotes & I mentioned why my nails look lumpy & i could see some red spots -- he decided to get a new bottle (should've done it to begin with) & put three cotes on my left hand only because my right hand looked ok after the new bottle....... i could see some red on the side of my nails. I got white nails. So you could see it. So I love the manager Tracy which is why I come back but obvi the past three times were not pleasant. I got my nails done here for a wedding I was going to. I wanted a simple French tip manicure that was almond or round shape like the one in the picture. The guy who did my nails didn't even know what I meant by French tip, first red flag. He didn't even do my cuticles or remove any dead skin. All he did was buff and file and even then they were very crooked. When he finished the nails, I saw that the white tip was very crooked and jagged. I was too nice to say something as I usually hate complaining or even asking for them to fix it. I hardly ever go to nail salons so this experience was especially disappointing. Getting my Glitter Gel on before my Vegas trip!! I was in the area running errands and I happened to find this nail shop on yelp. I was surprised at how CHEAP it was for a gel manicure here, only $20... In Upland it is usually $25 and in Irvine it is about $30. Unfortunately the price I paid really reflected on the service I received. First off their selection of gel colors here were very limited. I wasn't really in love with anything they had to offer. I felt like I ended up settling on my color since I ran out of time before my Vegas trip. The lady suggested that I layered my glitter color with a different color so that it would come out better, but the results weren't that great. My nails looked more like a champagne glitter when I was actually trying to go for a gold glitter. The thing that bothered me the most was how rough the lady was with my cuticles. She was roughly putting on my delicate skin and sure enough my cuticles are all jacked up and peeling now. I also felt like she rushed through the process since halfway through one of her usual clients did a walk in. She painted my nails so quickly some of the gel seeped over on the edge... This is so annoying with gel nails since it dries hard. So cheap, I really wanted to like this place... but I don't... It really isn't worth it for me to come back since I'm not happy with any aspects of the service. Even the hand massage just felt like someone was just lifelessly rubbing lotion on my hands. Like any other day, a girl has gotta have "me time." This is where mani pedis kick in. It's been over a year since my last mani pedi before this one. About a month ago, i decided to go get a mani pedi because I was starting a new job and I had been tired of my gross boring nails from my previous job... which didn't allow nails at all. When I had the chance, I jumped on it and pampered myself for a few hours. First things first, I never know what to do or say when I walk in because they're all talking to each other... which I've noticed is a pattern in most nail salons. They helped me as soon as they looked at me and I looked at them confused. I had no idea what color I wanted.... just winging it. I ended up picking a nail color I never would expect myself using, a grayish green color. For my nails actually... I wanted acrylics, so I went for it. I got simple kind of like a tan brown colored coffin styled nail, which I was always use to getting and it came our great. I kinda wished I had gotten a simple design or something. But whatevs. At some point, weeks passed and I became irritated with my nails. So I decided to take them off and let them breathe and grow again. I would come back here again... only if I could decide whether or not I wanted to get nails done again or not since i just had my nails ripped off. Came in today and got seated right away. I've been coming here since 2014 and every single time I have been here I have always left in awe at how gorgeous my nails turned out. Today, I was simply speechless like holy shit my nails are SOOO pretty. My nails were done today by Tracy (like always, or Nancy sometimes). I got a full set coffin, 2 nails with design, gel for $45. My gel color was 229 to match with the white and gold flowers. This session took almost 3 hours because she takes her time and she even scraps her work if she doesn't like it. She's not gonna leave you with nails you don't like! Tracy will listen to you if you ever want to fix something about your nails and will accommodate you. She is so sweet and her work is OUTSTANDING! I seriously have went to other nail salons after moving since I no longer live in Santa Ana but whenever I went to other salons, they weren't as great as Tracy and I never really left happy with the outcome I got. Super disappointed with todays visit. This nail salon is always my favorite place to go. I went in today to get my pedicure done and as the lady was doing my toes she was being very rough. I ignored because anyone can have a bad day. As more time went by she was finally pairing my toes and she accidentally took messed up my big toe because it wasn't dry. I didn't more or anything, it was her fault for passing the light to dry your nails on top. When I got to paying, she charged me $2 extra for removing gel. I do not understand why she charged me when it was not my fault at all. I did not move nor anything. She passed the light on top and messed up herself. I would totally understand if I was the one who moved and messed up my nail but it qas her fault and charged me $2 extra. I end up getting acrylic plus gel and she shaped my nails into oval just the way I like it. I recommend making appointment ahead of time. Nancy is a very courteous and nice, speaks very good English. Searched yelp for nail salons around me and came upon this gem. I was looking for good prices and I had a specific nail design idea I wanted so was scanning reviews/photos to see what kind of nail craftsmanship the salon had. T&K Nails checked out and I decided after reading reviews that the worst case scenario would be that I came out with a cheap costing mani & pedi for under $20. When I entered, I was impressed with the salon's new equipment and place. The staff was busy, but noticed me come in and asked what I wanted. I explained I definitely wanted a pedicure, and was interested in nail design/look I had a photo of, but no matter what I needed mani/cuticle clean up before acrylic or just anything. She approximated the price and when I heard full set gel for under 25$ I was stoked! Since the ladies were already working on a family and another client, they had me start with the pedicure in one of their luxurious massage chairs (new!), across from a plasma tv... With netflix!!!! Epicness!!!!! I aost wanted to ask, snacks?! Haha kidding... Anyway the pedicure was great, a guy worker came to ask to look at photo of the nails I wanted and he then chatted with the other ladies, who were still busy and once my toes were dry... I met Tracy!! Tracy did my nails and she is awesome! Probably one of the nicest nail ladies I have ever met. She genuinely wants to understand what u want and wants to make sure you are happy. Her daughters came in as I was getting nails done and they r so friendly! I always have trouble deciding color and this place has like a gallery art show of nail designs and ideas on hand mani and and nail wheels... So made deciding little harder, but her daughter helped me out and then chatted with me a little bit as nails were finishing up. Whole process took little longer than I expected due to being busy & my manicure/nails were a lot of work, but with the netflix (playing Hunger Games), Tracy being so nice and her daughter chatting with me... The time I was there was so enjoyable and flew by! I came in as a stranger and left giving Tracy a hug, feeling like I found gold! My pedicure was 13 and my full set nails with two designs, gel polish and a cuticle cleaning for total of 33$ it would have been 25 if I didn't do the designs on four fingers but totally worth it!!! I left very happy and satisfied. The prices are unbelievable.... I haven't come across another salon where a customer can receive a GEL manicure for 16$ !! Definitely check this place out! read more

She showed me designs that she could do & it came out beautifully. For full set, oval shaped, half moon design, regular nail color, & gem stones she only charged me $40 (she discounted for me which I appreciated so much), I should've paid the additional $9 for gel so it would last longer but I was being hesitant to spend so much money during the holidays. The man who works there did my $13 pedicure and he was sweet and attentive. They use new sets for pedicures which is a +star in my book for sure!
