Food is always good. They have been a little skimpy on the sides as of late. Unless you are there during prime time the food always seems to take to long. This was a terrible breakfast experience. The people were polite and tbe surroundings were pleasant but the problem was the food. Eggs can make or break the meal. I asked for over medium (and I was clear to say not totally hard but not runny.) Of course they were totally runny. Usually with sausage you get the choice of links or patties. No choice offered and as I prefer links, they were patties. The meal also came with American fries, that were deep fried chunks that could not be called American even in Venezuela. Also, I opted for the english muffin which was tasteless and covered in butter that may have been unrefrigerated for too long. They coffee was good but they had no Equal and came in a glass mug. Pretty but wrong for coffee. And no spoon at the table. Not one thing was acceptable and it is clear this is why bars should only sell breakfast to drunks. read more

Great place for lunch or dinner. Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday and had the turkey wrap, it was excellent! They add a sauce to it that added just the right amount of zing! I used to go here regularly. Sadly, due to some recent major issues with poor service, my wife and I will no longer give them our business. The food: Pub food. Some is good, some is horrible. The pizzas are very good. Stay away from the fish tacos. I'm not sure what sauce they use, but it's bad and too much of it. I think it's thousand island dressing mixed with hot sauce? Service: I won't mention the server's name, but I think she has a personal problem with me. Often times, our entire group would be served except me. I would get mine about 15 minutes late without an apology or explanation, and it would be wrong. This happened several times. And, she wouldn't even come back to check to see if everything was okay so we could correct it! For me, horrible service like this will ruin a place. So, I will not patronize T.J. Hooligan's again. I will go next door for better food, atmosphere and MUCH better service. read more

Stepped in, had to wait to be seated for a bit. Ended up in our favorite booth. Waitress was at the booth next to us talking to customer about some computer stuff. She never turned or said a word for ten minutes. I asked another older waitress for service, she cackled something unintelligible and walked off. Another five minutes went to the bar and asked for waitress. The lady who ignored us finally showed up said " sorry I didn't know you were my table". There are 4 booths, this was her station. she knew we were here and this was her area. Burgers were delicious, but I upgraded to waffle fries, asked for the seasoned sour cream " that's extra" I said fine Wife ordered burger with fries and side of mayo, "that's extra". Really? Love this place! Live in New Prague and make it a point to come this way home from work to stop during happy hour--good drink and app specials. Everything we've had here is super delicious--especially love the nachos (pork is best pulled pork anywhere and white cheese sauce is amazing!), pizza, and flatbreads. Everything tastes totally homemade and fresh. Always have good attentive service, and love the ambiance! No matter where else we go, we always come back to this being one of our favorites! read more

Good food and great service. Still family owned and I talked with a cook last year who said they buy local produce from the farmers and they try to serve organic food. The menu has many choices. I like their Mexican fare. Their appetizers are great, hamburgers juicy and meatloaf grilled sandwich to die for. I would recommend Hooligans. read more

This is one of the best places in Prior Lake to go have a drink , relax and grab a great meal. The servers are always friendly and the beer cold. The food is also excellent. I have been here several time and have had the sandwiches and the steaks and fish everything is awesome. I love their home made chips yummy just right! The Ruben is to die for so is the Cole slaw (it's fresh made too). OK I need to stop because I am making myself hungry. Lol. Just go try it you will love it. read more

We got a coupon in the mail and wanted to try it out because it looks like a neat place. It does have a nice atmosphere, in a nice location with lots of parking. The day we went it was nice outside so we opted to have dinner outside. We got seated and waited a good 15 minutes before we were given menus and ordered drinks. I am not sure what is going on with the place but I have been going there for almost 20 years and the last 3-4 times have been bad service and bad food. Saturday we stopped in after soccer with the kids. The salads showed up with the meal and the breakfast special was nothing special. Dried out bread on the sandwich and the hash browns where not hashbrowns but a hashloaf. Dried out with cornflakes on the top. Those that ordered lunches got their salad with the meal not before. Decided to give them another chance on Monday night. No bowls for the popcorn but the staff quickly found some. Places our order immediatly and things seemed to go much better. Until 20 minutes went by and there were no salads again and the chips that are suppose to come before the meal when you order Mexican were MIA. My fajitas plate with all of the fixings showed up first. The. 5 min later the fajita showed up. Then we asked about the salads, meals and chips. All then showed up at the same time. Kids meals had steak fries and when I asked they said they were out of fries. Staff seemed annoyed when I was upset as my kids would not eat steak fries and they should have said something. Chips were dried out and not the colorful chips I had grown to like over the years. By the time I ate my fajita it was cold and not good. The kids meals had clearly been under the best lamp. It appeared that the wait staff in the back section was overworked and the front section was empty. The front staff finallyed chipped in when we were leaving. At no time did the staff attempted to make anything right with my bill based on the poor quality food but rather seemed annoyed with me. I sent an email to them with no response. Less than 20 people in the entire place on a Tuesday night, but got the farthest left back corner booth for me, my wife and 10 year old daughter. Orders: Fish and Shrimp, fish was soooo deep fried it's like the cook took it out as an after thought. Fajhitas, want a combo as beef and chicken, extra $3.99, that's ok, I go 2/3 of a plate of peppers and onions anyway to make up for it. My daughter order of Alfredo with chicken? She ate the bread stick, and the chips and salsa that I should have had right after my order, but received and the same time. Subpar food and horrible service. The food and drinks are overpriced and the servers never tell you theres an up-charge for certain sides even though they suggested them. The last few times I've been here the service and food has been worse, the last time I came into the restaurant to dine in I ordered "jumbo shrimp" for $17.99 and what I got was butterfly shrimp. I like butterfly shrimp but they should be advertised as so. Most recently I ordered a sandwich for pick-up and when I arrived I let the staff member know I was there to pick up my order. She told me she would be right with me. I saw a to-go box in a bag sitting at the bar, but I figured it wasn't mine because the waitress proceeded to check on a table, poured 4 drinks for them, brought the drinks to the table, brought their old glasses back and cleaned them. When she was finally finished with this and over 8 minutes had passed she then said thanks for waiting and handed me the bag sitting at the bar I saw when I first arrived. Why wouldn't she have given me this before checking in on the other table? Guess I'll never have the chance to ask her because I will never make the mistake of coming here again. read more

Atmosphere is pretty nice and has been packed both times we have stopped in. The food last night was worse than before. I had the prime rib sandwich and expected fresh prime rib as they offer a prime rib dinner Friday and Saturdays. What I received resembled a frozen McRib patty without much flavor and the fries were poured out of a freezer bag. The fries didn't even seem like they were even fully cooked. I guess I would have expected much more for a $12 dinner. I will be back but only for drinks and maybe an app. read more
