I recently lost my Iphone 12s and needed a phone right away since I needed it for work and I could not do without one that day. What is strange about the whole process is that I did cancel the insurance on my phone. Which is unfortunate that I could use that to get a new phone. Anyways to make a long story short is I got a cheap phone to replace my old one and paid it in full. The guy promised me that I won't incur any extra charges since I'm still going to pay the existing balance on the old phone and have the same monthly fee. To my dismay later I found out that they opened a new line and charge me for insurance which I did not agree to when I visited this T mobile store that day. So my concern is these people will make more than a dime and nickel from you it's more like highway robbery. If your a new customer that's great but watch out these crooks will go after you to make a commission very disappointing so watch out and don't make the same mistake. read more

I was having trouble with the dual SIM card I phone. Sayed, a very experienced customer service representative, at the T Mobile Store on Westview Parkway, assisted me and went beyond the call of duty to ensure that my second SIM line was properly embedded. I think Sayed a great credit to T Mobile and I've also seen him sell other customers equipment, taking care to select the right equipment for the customer's specific needs. You need more employees like Sayed. read more

An associate was kind enough to cut my micro sized SIM to nano sized. When I got home to try it in my new phone, it didn't work. I returned the next day, and they wanted to charge me $25 for a new SIM card. Now I fully understand there is a risk for them to offer to cut SIM cards for free, but I would think the least they could do was offer me a SIM card at cost (couple dollars at the most). read more

I had the WORST Experience with this store and its staff. I am a long time Tmobile customer who made the mistake of purchasing a new 4G phone at this store. From the first day, the myTouch phone did NOT show its screen right away when I was making a phone call and took the phone away from my face...the screen remained black for 10 minutes some times. I complained about this the day I bought it but was told this is normal. I did take the phone in just a few weeks after I purchased it to complain but was told again that this was normal. Basically I could NOT hang up the phone call without seeing the screen and so I had to wait a long time even on calls I wanted to end quickly. Finally I went to the Carmel MTN Ranch Tmobile (not a company store) and the manager there told me that the Mytouch is NOT a good phone and he actually helped me force the Mira Mesa store to allow me to return it and get another brand, Samsung. But the entire day I was doing this return I had to drive back and forth between the two stores twice (going twice to each place) because of the unwillingness of the Mira Mesa staff to help me. It was a TERRIBLE day. If this hadn't been corrected I would have left Tmobile entirely. I can only say DO NOT BUY mytouch!! And that store is really a bad place. read more

5 stars for help from a person named chuck and 1 star for a lady who I didn't get the name. I was told by chuck this past Thursday that I could trade in my iPhone 5s for credit for an iPhone 7 the following say on Friday. I come in after work on Friday to the same store only to see that chuck wasn't there. Oh well its okay then I went to go and speak with the lady about the deal. The lady then said she didn't ever chuck ever saying that to me about an iPhone 5s and basically didn't want to help. Now I'm looking online today and yes lady you can trade in a 5, 5s, SE, 6 and 6s for this deal.... Get your facts straight especially if you work there. I came to this location to replace a new phone that had a defect and some accessories that I got from another location and although it was not their obligation they took care of it for me anyways. Liz the manager was very helpful and got my new phone set up and transferred my data over from my old phone. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. This is the closest T-Mobile store and is easily accessible for those in Mira Mesa. The parking lot is sometimes a pain during busy times with all the stores in the location. I would say 70% of the time I am there is a line. It varies from a 30-45 minute wait when I am there during those times which is quite an annoyance as like most people have better things to do than wait to be helped or get assistance to fix problems that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Now to the actual service once you are seen, the staff is polite, but the problem is they are not necessarily very helpful. What this means is they are nice to you in mannerisms, but aren't on top of their service or technical abilities. They are not that effective. An example of this is they made a mistake where I was told on the phone via customer service that I can go to this store and pickup a SIM card at no charge. A guy named Christopher said that they don't give them out for free which I know they do during promotions and especially when it is directly noted in the account! The person who I spoke to initially that also confirmed the free SIM card whom was a manager was no where to be found to resolve this issue. Instead because I needed a new one, I got stuck with paying for one for $10+tax. To top it off and an insult to injury, we share the same name so that's even more of a disappointment of his lack of usefulness. Overall I like what T-Mobile is doing as a carrier, but the service from these stores really needs to pickup. They need to be educated in customer service, technical aptitude and most importantly know their company's services and products they offer. I heard completely incorrect facts about phones and horrible, generic phone recommendations (mainly iPhones) and stating that they can do things that they cannot. read more

Very pleased with this location; my family has gone to the one in Carmel Mountain for years now but I know that will change from here on out. This location has some of the greatest customer service out there! They were busier than normal what with the new Iphone coming out but every single representative would greet you when you walked in, and would right away get you on the roster to be helped next. Shout out to Isaiah who so patiently helped us with our upgrades, program our new phones, answered all our questions, and addressed all concerns. If we could give 10 stars, it would be credited to his outstanding customer service and friendly personality. A while before I purchased the iPhone my family was trying to get the main line ( which had a tablet that had broken) of the account removed. In an effort to prevent us from removing the line an employee told us they had a deal where they could get us a tablet for free and we just keep the current line and not pay anything extra! We agreed even though we didn't like the tablet all that much. Although its partially our fault for not noticing until now that they have been quietly charging us an extra $7 per month (for the "$168" onetouch pixi 7) for over a year, it's the fact that an employee mislead us into believing they were giving us a free tablet. I'm not sure if the employee still works there, but just thought should warn others of another shady tactic. read more

This is probably the worst service I've ever had. My brother and I came into the store to trade in my iPhone 6 for a 7 and were told to come back within half and hour to talk to an employee. We came back after 20 minutes and waited an extra hour and still did not talk to an employee. When asking the employee with the clipboard how much longer it would be, she replied very result and said she had no idea when we'd be next and that there were still 5 people ahead of us. If there is one T-Mobile store you shouldn't go to, it's this one. Staff here are horrible and you won't get any service with a smile here unless you plan on signing a new contract. The last time I checked most of staff that works at cellphone places are dropouts, so I don't get how they can act as if their doctors with degrees. Know your place in life, and know your role in life, you'll get by in life much easier. If I ever see any of the staff come through the establishments I work for, i'll make sure to give them one hell of a time. Watch out for their promotions, they only do that to bind you in a worse contract that you currently have. read more

Great service and help, I do get surprised on my bill though, some times I'll go in and get a new phone and I am told it comes with a free case and I take it and I look at my bill and I find out I'm paying for it. I've come here twice once to get my Nexus phone about two years ago. The second time I came here was about 2 weeks ago and that was so that I could upgrade my phone to the new Samsung S7 Edge. I should start by saying I made this account for the sole purpose of leaving a well-deserved 5-star review for this store. Recently just got back from my overseas military orders (after almost 4 years) and had my T-Mobile account suspended for the time-being due to deployments. I wasn't able to retrieve my old number and had to create a new account, but the process was smooth and hassle-free all because of Spencer who took care of everything I needed. He laid out options, explained each one of them, and pointed me towards a more beneficial phone plan. He is someone who would go all out for customers to be able to give them what they need--an extraordinary customer service! This man also looked for discounts that I qualified for and pretty sweet deals on device upgrades. Not only was I able to get a phone plan that best suited me, I also got a tablet, and all sorts of pretty awesome offers that I never even knew existed. Since it is only my own self that's included in my account, he recommended adding family members, and showed me the money that my family and I would be able to save on a monthly basis. So, I was able to merge my family's account into mine and with Spencer helping us out, everything went smooth and well ordered. And now I am looking at a significant reduction on my phone bill, but still a better, if not best, phone plans for all my family members. A win-win on both sides, thanks to Spencer! I rarely write reviews and I gotta say, if you're in need of someone who can save you from your network carrier troubles, I highly recommend Spencer from T-Mobile. This man stayed way past the time he needed to be (the store closed at 9:00pm) and gave the best customer service I could have asked for. He explain things over and over again cause I sometimes do not understand. He was very helpful setting up our phones. He devoted his full attention and gave us the discounts we didn't even know we could have gotten. He mentioned he has been working for T-mobile for many years, but I do believe this man strives in his field. I feel I made the right choice moving from AT&T to Tmobile. My husband has been with you for almost 8 years now. We've been to the Encinitas location and had a terrible experience there. So when we needed to go to Tmobile again, we tried the Carmel Mountain store. They were nice and helpful enough, but again we got mixed information from the employees there. We purchased my iPhone 6 plus and she told me I would have to go to the Mira Mesa store to switch the info from phone to phone because they didn't have the machine they needed. She also advised me to wait to activate my phone number until all information was switched. It didn't really seem like they knew the products either. In fact, when I added my line to my husbands account yesterday, they took his internet feature off his phone without telling us. My husband couldn't understand why his internet/music wasn't working... He immediately thought it was the phone and wanted another one. We had to come to Mira Mesa anyways for me, but I'm glad we did! Because we met Eddie :) I was with AT&T for almost 10 years and NEVER have I been more satisfied with the customer service I received yesterday from Eddie Mendez! He was not only extremely knowledgable, he was really enjoyable to talk to. Before my husband and I knew it, we were there talking with him for 2 hours!! He is very personable, funny, and patient. He spent all of his time explaining whatever questions we had, the products we were interested in, and even the difference in the products we weren't. If he didn't have the answer, he took the initiative and got it right away. We bought an iPhone 6 Plus, a Samsung Note 4, and UE Boom speaker. Because of Eddie's outstanding customer service, we felt confident in our purchases - which came close to about $2,000. It truly was a pleasure to be helped by him! I am really happy we met him, we will be coming to that store all the way from Encinitas just to see him!! He is a huge asset to your team and you're lucky to have him. I work in the customer service industry, and it pains me to see bad customer service. That's not was I experienced. I experienced stellar service that is hard to find elsewhere... well outside of my company as well. I came in to replace my phone because the screen was cracked and I was ready to pay the $150. It turns out I only owed $100 left on the phone and qualified for a jump up for $57. So now I have a brand new note 3 for how much I was expecting to pay for a warranty. ****Extremely Frustrated with the customer service at this location. *** Had come in to discuss the issues I had been having with my new HTC M8. I had been thinking it was the phone and not the network, but I could be wrong. When I walked into the store I had a great first impression and thought this is going to be easy getting everything taken care of. Meghan assisted me at first taking my name and issue down so that when the people in front were taken care of I could be next. So not too much time had passed when I was up and I was paired with Josh. First off, not the most upbeat and inviting person you will ever meet. I mean this is customer service and if you do not enjoy people, data entry is always hiring some where. I began to explain my issues with my applications, such as with yelp, instagram and various other apps that had only recently started to happen when I switched from Samsung to HTC. So he states that he is going to do a systems check on the phone itself. Sure why not, I want my phone fixed and if it is the issues lets do this thing and get it going. After the system's check he couldn't find anything wrong with the phone or apps. His answers were 1. Instagram had issues today, which I replied its been 2 weeks of issues so that point is invalid. 2. it must be the ANDROID operating system, to which I then replied well my previous S4 and my gf's current S5 work perfectly along with my friends Note 3 so I don't think the ANDROID system is the issue either. After a few words of discussion he opted to swap the phone out as I was still within my 14 day warranty exchange period. Josh then started to do the phone swapping however, it didn't seem like he knew much about the HTC as I was asking what is the HTC Transfer tool and that I wanted to keep all my text messages like I did the last time.... moving forward an hour ... my phones data and everything finally swapped over from each other and I looked forward to starting up the new phone. BAM same issue right in front of him ... this is were my next frustration came in. He let me know keep it over night and see if the issues are still there and if they are you can come back tomorrow and we can swap you into a Samsung S5 if I would like... I just want a phone that works and connects me to my social media. I mean I paid 4.95 just to have a special calender app on the HTC that the Samsung had, because I liked the HTC... To my surprise I take the new phone home not only does it have the same problems, but now it has more problems and I can not use my phone at home on Wifi calling ... I live on top of the mountain and WiFi calling is the only way I can make/receive calls. More headaches, that now I have to drive all the way back tomorrow to swap out the phone or correct the issue. Day 2 ... I arrive at the store and there is Meghan again. She has a tag that says MANAGER so I assume she can assist me with my issue. My gf and I explain the problem and that there are more issues now with this phone and the Josh stated if there were issues we could swap out the phone for the S5 ... lets make me happy and make my CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE much better then yesterday ... Denied ... let me get Josh for you who was in the back. If he was on break & you're the Manager, lets make things happen. I mean even at Enterprise ANY employee is able to make changes to satisfy the customer. So Josh comes out, and we start all over again. This time phone calls are made to tech support. Both Josh and Meghan are making calls to who knows .... I am so frustrated this is where I make my own phone call. I do not like to do these types of things, but because of my ties to T Mobile I have to call in a personal favor to find out WTF ... I get some info have to NAME DROP while on the phone and magically things start to happen. ! of the biggest issues is Meghan the manager she, had a completely lack luster attitude about the whole situation and gave me excuses. Yesterday T-Mobile knew about these problems and is working to resolve them and now Tech Support says no one has ever heard of these issues... People get on the same page. Either they do or they do not know of the issues, regardless I need them fixed. Meghan never bothered to follow up the entire time we were there the 2nd day while dealing with Josh who she clearly pawned us off on. Manager, I think not. Manager 101, look into it GOOGLE IT. The worst part is, my account on T Mobile clearly states Employee account *** Employee *** and if this is how you treat the employees or employee families I feel bad for customers. Like the lady that same day complaining about how she wasn't able to text on her phone and the saleswomen stated to her, sorry mam you were in a hurry so I just gave you the first phone there was. Clearly did not ask enough questions in order to provide their customers with the appropriate phone, tablet or plan needed to satisfy the customer experience. Came in here during the weekend of the iPhone 6 release, so you could say it was a bit crazy. Each of the workers that helped me out here was easy to work with and understood my dilemma (a lot happened within one weekend). They let us bring Maggie the pooch in while we were waiting which was a pleasant surprise. I'm glad I live near this location because I know they'll always be helpful. The only thing that sucks is that each time I came there was a long line and I had to wait about 10-20 minutes before I could be helped.
