Wonderful gem hidden in t town! This is a great place to hang out if your feeling a crave for dessert! They've got this cool taiyaki cone stencil as a fish and they add your choice of 2 flavors. Yum! I like the green tea and vanilla choice with sprinkles and almonds. I wasn't to fond of the bulgogi fries not for $10 it only had a little meat overall it was good! We will definitely come back and try other items on the menu. Parking was a little full there's a restaurant next door and I'm guessing you could park there as well. Nice staff they really work hard. This place is overpriced and they messed up my order and couldn't even make it right. I even asked if I could bring back my food as I ordered a cheese dog only cheese and it came with the meat inside. I would have gladly paid partial for a replacement as I did eat the cheese but not the meat and they couldn't even give me any money off for there mistake. We loved the drink choices, I got a frozen taro tea with boba and the huge honey read toast to share, which was fluffy and had tons of fruit on the side and on top. I retired from writing yelp, but today, I am making a come back to recommend a Korean dessert cafe called: T-Town Cafe. It's tough to keep this new gem to myself! The cafe brings favorite Korean desserts that are very popular in LA - like Bingsoo (shaved ice with toppings) and Ice Cream Taiyaki. For their bingsoo, instead of using shaved ice, they use flavored ice so that tiny white flakes are actually frozen flavored milk flakes! No wonder it tastes so delish and sweet! My favorite dessert item was their ice cream taiyaki, which is ice cream filled (vanilla, green tea, or ube) in a fish-shaped waffle cone (with Nutella or red bean). This is pretty darn good! Highly recommend it! They also serve Korean fusion sandwiches like beef bulgogee or pork bulgogee & kimchee sandwich. I had the pork bulgogee sandwich with kimchee and it was excellent! The cafe was so cute! I went there with my cousin and ordered vanilla-greentea taiyaki and bulgogi fries. Serving sizes do run a little small for the price but it's not too bad! They were able to be acknowledged and their orders taken with no problem. Some things to take into consideration are: I was the only black woman in this facility at the time. Everyone else who got their orders perfectly fine was either white or Asian. So, it's my turn to get to the counter. The owner turned her back on me with such passion, didn't say a word to me, and immediately went to the back to start putting stuff away. I stood at the cash register for 8 minutes waiting to order, while the owner was fiddling with receipts and organizing pens on the counter! I literally had to ask for service! And after I asked, she still purposely took her time to take down my order. The Owner was standing right in front of me, purposely going out of her way to ignore me!! I've been coming here for years now with my family, the past 2 times I've came In have been not so great. First instance was I came in for 3 drinks, 2 with boba 1 specifically without and the receipt even showed no boba. Got my drinks/ of course boba in all 3! Whatever no big deal I still drank it. 2nd instance was today. We were waiting in line for our food and while waiting 2 customers who already ordered walked up with their food, 3 Korean corn dogs. That customer let them know religiously cannot eat meat / or pork. She orders them as full cheese corn dogs. They were made incorrectly and instead of this semi long haired Asian work re making it she decides to argue with them. Stating she asking over and over when it's clear that customer orders just cheese. The worker THEN asks "so you want me to throw these away?" The customer then says again- we cannot eat these. This working was so incredibly insensitive. We then place our order and my sisters buzzer goes off- one of 2 times is ready. She grabs it and sits back down with the buzzer. It goes off again so she goes back, when she goes to get her 2nd item the 1st item is there again. No worker around to confirm so she takes both. We even leave it for like 10 min before taking a bite out of it. Probably 5 more minutes go by and that same rude worker comes up saying she already got her food and why would she take it.. it was right next to the item she was still waiting on and no one around to confirm if it was hers. We let this working know and offer for her to take it, in which she does and walks away. This place used to be sooo good, quick service. But it seems like a lot of the previous workers have quit or been fired so they're left with rude and slow workers. So sad to see because this is a very popular place to go and that probably won't stay the same for long. read more

My boyfriend and I come here for lunch dates a few times a month. Not the healthiest menu but they're not pretending to be! Bulgogi fries, spicy pork sandwich, and the snowflakes are our favorite! I just discovered Korean shaved ice, bingsu, so! delicious! We love this place. Highly recommend the bingsu or snowflake desserts, FYI the large is VERY big, we share the smaller size. It's soooo fluffy, and cold, and they drench it with sweetened condensed milk. Toppings are fruit, or oreo, or less familiar ones like sweet red bean which I actually loved. Also they have a korean-style mochi called injeolmi which is super-delicious. Also love the little fish-shaped waffles filled with soft-serve ice cream. I really like the soft serve, I think it might be based on shaved ice because it has a cold icy consistency, not gritty but not quite like the soft serve from Dairy Queen for example. It's very tasty, I tried the Ube flavor last time and it's very good. They will smear the inside of your cone with custard (yum!) or nutella (yum!). They have good snacks too, like Korean style corndogs but I go here for the desserts. read more

The hotteok here is interesting. Overall I didn't really like it, but the cinnamon butter inside is delicious. I got cheese hotteok, expecting the cheese to be inside. Instead, it was some strange unappetizing white cheese on top. They used the same cheese in the tteok-bok-gi and the bulgogi fries, and the verdict is that I just don't like that cheese. I actually came here to try the soft serve taiyaki. I like the idea of a spread inside, but in reality, the Nutella just made it unpleasantly goopy. I do like that you get to pick up to three toppings. I got the ube and vanilla soft serve. The soft serve itself wasn't that great, and the ube didn't taste much different than the vanilla. I liked the texture of the taiyaki, especially the couple of bits on the outside that were crunchy. So the Yelp gods recommended this place to me during my late night cravings. Besides the high ratings and delicious pictures I knew I needed to go in and explore myself. It's super cozy inside and the staff are VERY nice. I wasn't too hungry so I only got a Cheese corn dog which I used to get ALL the time when I live in South Korea. I also ordered an Ice cream with that Taiyaki waffle fish. When bitting into the corn dog I felt as if I traveled back to Korea for a moment. The cheese, potatoes, and sugar melted in my mouth and my taste buds were as happy as they could ever be. Only thing that I didn't like(very subjective) is that the corn dog was 3/4 cheese and 1/4 Hotdog. It's usually 50/50. At least it was in everywhere in S.Korea . After scarfing my corn dog down I got my ice cream but without the taiyaki. I told them I asked for it and they said they could make it but it would take a while. She then was hinting that I should come in another time to get it. I understand that it was nearing the end of work and I didn't want to be "that last costumer" but I was still really looking forward to my taiyaki.! This is in all honesty a very cute place to hang out at, I like the decor and the countless seating options. However, the music played here is pretty overwhelming. when you go to a cafe most people at least myself would prefer a more relaxed environment. They were playing music loudly and I didn't want to be the person to ask to turn it down. The person at the front wasn't very welcoming but I tend to not take that kind of thing personally so it didn't bother me. I ordered an almond milk latte with cinnamon and honey and it wasn't filled to the top, and was given to me super super hot and i couldn't drink it for a good 5-10 minutes without burning myself.
