When you are from Chicago, you think your pizza is the best. But when I'm in New York, I've got to have some real New York pizza. I totally enjoyed this local restaurant location that was a short walk from our niece and nephew's home in Brooklyn. With both outdoor and indoor seating, our family of 6 decided to enjoy the air conditioning inside that was adorable. Approached by our server Jason, drinks were ordered as he informed us of their special Items not listed on the large menu. From a suggestion of my nephew, I quickly decided on a delicious Other Half IPA, from their local brewery on Centre street. I highly recommend this classic west coast IPA. We then ordered stuffed artichokes that seemed a little bland but was very tasty. Along with this, we enjoyed a very tasty Caesar salad. It was so good! And of course we ordered an order of fried calamari. I highly suggest you order this tasty dish. We ordered 2 pizzas, a large margarita pizza, mainly for this kids taste, and a small Fig, Speck and Arugula pizza. Each bite was an explosion of different tastes that was not expected. I live that pizza. I really enjoyed Table 87. The service was extremely impressive as we felt like we were the only patrons in the restaurant. The place was fairly empty when we arrived but by the time we left, you couldn't get a seat inside. If you're in Brooklyn, be sure to stop in. I love table 87 but normally go to the Atlantic Ave or industry city location even though this one is closer to our house. The food was great but I wouldn't go back. We ate in the back and felt the service was poor. It wasn't crowded and they squeezed us into a small table between two other tables which felt cramped and unnecessary. Then of course when our pizza came the waitress put it in front of our kids and then they couldn't even get to their plates bc it took up most of the table. I asked to move and they said no...ignored us for most of dinner when they kept asking other tables if they needed anything . Sorry we aren't tourists! The place has a great atmosphere and the service was very good. We ordered garlic Parmesan chicken wings (special) and they had a great crisp and juicy inside but lacked flavor. The 20" margherita pie is huge and incredibly cheesy. The cheesiest pizza I have ever had! But it's quite off balance. Overall the food is just fine. read more

No lie... This may be one of my top five pizza spots now. Besides the owner and staff being super awesome, the food totally matches the vibe because it is extremely fresh, delicious, and reminds me of my grandmas cooking. The pizza had the perfect char and I absolutely love the sauce. I'm not a huge fan of zucchini, but the zucchini sticks were my obsession and I could not stop eating them. Not kidding. I lost track of how many I had. The calamari was also so crispy but also light. I have had some greasy calamari, but this was far from it. I had heard that Table 87 had great pizza but it was not until I was walking past the restaurant after having helped my friend from Al Maktoum Goods deliver some chairs to a nearby address that I had the opportunity to try their pizza and it was very much worth trying! We ordered slices of Margherita and Veggie. The sicilian thick crust had great texture and flavor while the tomato sauce was not overwhelming . The veggie pizza was loaded with toppings and all ingredients tasted fresh. The staff here was friendly and we took our slices to one of the outdoor tables which I prefer to trading air with strangers indoors. Prices are not cheap but these days where are they!?!? Wow! This restaurant is too good! Not fair! We went for lunch with a few other friends after working out at Prospect Park. It was lunchtime. Our friend from Brooklyn introduced this place. FYI it's so hard to get a parking space around here. Hubby managed fo find one after 15 mins driving around the area while we started looking at the menu. We had Tyler serving us. He was very hardworking and was willing to go out of his way to make me unsweetened iced tea! Yay! We ordered a seafood salad. I tried it and it was awesome! You must try this especially in a hot summer day like this. I ordered linguini with clam sauce. My dish was sooooo delicious! The amount of clams they put in my plate was incredibly generous! I would definitely order this again! The group ordered two types of pizzas: a big Margherita pie and a personal crusty pie with baked clams on it. 4.5 stars for Table 87. I find myself always ordering takeout from TABLE87 whenever I'm craving pizza. Family owned and operated since 2012. My go to order: 20" marghertia pizza. I really enjoy the fresh ingredients they use. The sauce is unique from other places because it has a sweet taste to it. My favorite side order are the stuffed peppers. So delicious . As far as delivery goes, I've only had two issues. One where the pizza was upside down and another where I was delivered a pizza with mushrooms. The crust is actually flaky and buttery when you eat it right out of the oven! We alway order delivery but never dined in until today! The pizza ia extra delicious when it is piping out! I lived in NC for 9 years and would always say "I can't wait to go back to Long Island and have a bagel, baconeggandcheese, slice of pizza, etc". Now that I moved back to Long Island, I went into Brooklyn to spend the day with my cousin. She took me to Table 87 for lunch (a shirt block from her apt) and OMG!!! The food was beyond amazing. We shared a coal oven pizza, a burrata salad and orichette with sausage and broccoli rabe. Dessert was a house made tiramisu which was a perfect ending to this meal. Everything was fresh and simple ingredients...and just so delicious. The staff and owners are friendly and personable, saying hello and made sure we were taken care of. I kind of expected it to be a typical slice joint, but everything about the place was so much better than I expected. I've eaten a lot of pizza in Brooklyn, Chicago and Italy in my life. I can appreciate many different styles of pizza. My favorite has been wood fired pizza in Naples Italy, however Table 87 is by far my favorite go to pizza in Brooklyn. Table 87 pizza is so unique, there is nothing else like it. They use a better mozzarella with a sprinkling of another cheese on top. The crust is fluffy and chewy kinda like Naples style pizza. However, their sauce is special. It's a bright and sweet tomato sauce that tastes like it's made from freshly picked tomatoes. The pizza is then loaded on top with fresh basil. It's so tasty and doesn't leave you feeling heavy afterwards. If you love pizza I would high recommend giving them a try. read more

They have some pretty tasty food here and it's not just thier pizza. You've probably seen some of their pizza in the frozen aisle of the big supermarkets but if you can get their pizza fresh, I would highly recommend that. Their pizza is nicely balanced with cheese and sauce ratio. That's super important because you don't want soggy pizza or feel like you're eating flat bread with a sprinkle of cheese. We also had their steak entree and lobster with pasta. Both were excellent. The spaghetti was a tad overdone though. Also a plus, they bring you 2 jars of complimentary roasted garlic and pickle hot peppers. Adding the roasted garlic to my pasta brought it up a notch. I took away a star because their service is EXTREMELY SLOW. The space is not that big with 3-4 small tables outdoors. During dinner, the space was not full but it took a while for our server to come to us to take our order and once our order was in, it took more than 45 mins for our first pizza to get to us. While our daughter ate the pizza, another 30 mins before my husband got his steak. Another 20 min before I got my lobster pasta. By the time my food came, I was the only one eating and it ruined our family meal. read more

Enjoyed dinner at Table 87 on Tuesday night. While the texture of the pizza crust was not my favorite, it is hard to argue with the delicious flavors present in all of their food. Quality: While there were flaws, I was happy with the Burrata Margherita Pizza we ordered. The biggest issue is that the crust comes out very soft and doughy. If they were to get it crispier it was be a fantastic pizza. That said, I loved that the larger chunks of burrata solve the typical cheese proportion problem with Margherita pizzas. It is a bit of a sweeter sauce, but I am a fan of that. We also had Tommy's Meatball Calzone, which was excellent. Stuffed with mozzarella, ricotta, and huge chunks of meatball, it was great. Good crisp for the outside, and again the sweeter sauce was a good pairing. Quantity: Pizza was a bit small, so definitely recommend sides or appetizers to go along with it. The Calzone was large and packed. Value: $17-$25 for 12 Inch Pizzas. $18-$22 for Calzones. Ambiance: Table 87 has multiple locations, but we visited the one in Gowanus. It appeared like they have four different dining areas. The first is some bar seating inside, which is shared with their take-out counter. They supply pizzas to many local bars and as a result, this space was bustling. Then they have a good sized indoor dining room. We sat outside under an awning, but they also had more outdoor seating in a street structure. Disco music played in the background outside. Crowd: A good number of folks grabbing dinner on Tuesday. Service: Despite the awkward setup that separates the outdoor dining from the staff inside, they had folks constantly rotating around to prevent any delays. If your in the area you must hit this joint !!! Me & the family went here last Saturday night for a bite we were passing through the neighborhood found a parking spot and went in .... Considering it's was a Saturday night and about 7:pm & the place was buzzing our wait time for four was about 20 minutes not bad...... We started off with the meat & cheese appetizer a real anti pasta !!! The meat n cheese was top quality the roasted pep's n olives as well !!! Then we had the hanger steak n fettuccine Alfredo with a touch of truffle oil awesome dish !!! The kid had the sausage & broccoli rabbi pasta dish which was also off the chain !!! When I hear "coal fried" I always think of dry bland pizza dough with a disproportionate amount of toppings but MAN OH MAN I SWEAR TO YOU ALL THIS WAS THE BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. Its really not hard to find good pizza in BK but this place is a must go if you need pizza in the area! I did hear this location will be expanding to the store next door with a full size bar. I don't know what I love more here - the pizza or that they have wine on tap. The whole set up of this restaurant/pizzeria is super cozy and inviting. Pizza is made fresh to order by friendly faces! This is the best pizza I've had in the NYC area, and I've eaten a lot of pizza in the area. The margarita slice was fantastic!
