Also the Chicken quesadilla, is real cheesy and I like the jalapeno sauce on it.

Came here on Taco Tuesday. It's just a short walk from our house, so I was hoping this would become…read moreour go-to neighborhood spot. Unfortunately, the tacos were just OK. To be fair, it's probably not their fault -- I just got back from LA, where even random taco spots seem to serve incredible tacos. At this point I'm starting to wonder: are tacos in the Bay Area like pizza in California? Is there something in the water that makes it impossible for someone in the Bay to make a truly great taco, while in Los Angeles you can pull up to a random stand and have one of the best tacos of your life? Nothing against Emiliano's, but their tacos tasted about the same as every other taco spot around here -- truck or no truck.

Slurps: menudo (15) tripe soup... -slowly boiled with honeycomb tripe, pig feet till tender. With onions, garlic cloves, bay leaf, salt, pepper. Missing are hominy(corn kernels), chilies. Probably why broth lacked "boldness". Came boiling hot. Accompanied with 3 corn tortillas, lime squeeze, oregano, raw onions bits, chili pods..the former is eaten alongside soup. The latter added to hot menudo soup to add "depth". *wasn't enough to remedy shortcomings Menudo is a common panacea for persons having an hangover on the weekend. I've always wanted to dine at one of the Cholita Linda locations but never had the chance so I was looking forward to lunch. The menu consists of side/appetizers, tacos, sandwiches, salads and plate items and drinks and desserts. You order at the counter and when your number is called, you pick up your food. The restaurant is bright, colorful and airy. They have a large dining room of tables, communal tables and bar counter for you to enjoy your food. There's a self-service station for water and utensils. I heard they were known for their tacos, especially their fish tacos. I ordered four tacos, baja fish, carnitas, carne asada, and pollo al pastor. Each taco is topped with a cabbage slaw with a baja crema. All the tacos were delicious, but the one I like the best was the baja fish with its large pieces of moist crispy fried fish. I will be getting this taco in the future. Some friends ordered the Cubano sandwich, pescado frito, Yuca fries and tostones con picadillo. Got to sample the fries and tostones and they were delicious. Glad I finally got to try the tacos at Cholita Linda and was not disappointed. I will for sure go to the one in my home town for the fish tacos and the pescado frito.

We started with the chips and guacamole and some drinks. I had a nice mezcal Paloma, my friend tried the smokey don Carlitos (which is delivered with much dramatic flair), and 2 others has the mango bourbon drink. For dinner I had the delicous fish tacos, others ordered the pooled, spicy tostaditas, nachos, chicken tacos,.... The food was fresh, hot, and delicous. You could taste the attention to detail in the food and the commitment to fresh and flavorful food. This was one of the best Mexican meals I've had in a long time. The ambiance was excellent also. I could tell that they just expanded into the space adjacent to the original restaurant and it was all very beautiful, clean, and elegant. I honestly felt a little scrubby in my workout clothes, but no one at the restaurant made me feel bad about my attire. This was an impromptu restaurant choice, so no one has time to go home and clean up. The service was also excellent. Emmanuel was our server and he was kind and attentive. He helped me choose my plates and even split the bill when I realized that I left my wallet at home and needed to pay with my phone. Highly recommended.

Don't miss this spot when looking for a casual yet tasty place for a meal!! Would love to visit again next time I am in the area! Seriously - delicious! Now I need to take a long walk or a nap! Bueno comida!
