Stopped by as we were driving by. Used the drive thru. I got a Crunchwrap supreme and a side of rice to put in the wrap. They filled it nice and evenly.

12-PACK DANGER Taco Bell has played a role in my food memories over the years. From getting the then 10-pack of tacos for dinner with my dad to late-night runs in college, everyone has their own connection to Taco Bell. When we moved to the NorthShore, I was expecting to find one nearby. However, there wasn't one. Sometimes, I just don't have the time, energy or desire to cook. And you can't feed the kids McDonald's. Welcome Taco Bell! The drive-thru always has my order correct and gets those hot sauces in our bag. (What is a taco without hot sauce?!?) I can get a 12-pack of soft (or hard shell) tacos. The whole family is happy, especially hubby who gets his Mex fix in for the week.

I visited here on a recent Friday with a group of almost a dozen and had a great time. We had a…read morelarge table (not sure is someone reserved it or not) looking right out onto Roger Williams ave. We had plenty of room and it was nice to have delicious beer, good food, and a pleasant view of this part of Highland Park. I've been here before when it had a different name, but it seems like little has changed. This is a well warn bar! Comfy seats at the bar and a smattering of booths and table with a homey feel - lots of wood and available light from the large front window. This is not a huge room by any means but it never felt crowded. Our group had mostly apps like guac and chips and a quesadilla or two. I tried a Kolsch lager and a Marzen lager both if which were a little cheaper than usual due to the Happy Hour Special of $5 a beer. Margaritas are $6 at Happy Hour. The beer was very good! We had a great waiter and being seated just a few feet from the bar meant no one went thirsty or hungry for long. On past visits I was seated on the back patio but we had rain on this most recent visit, and it's also March! (Patio season does not start in the Chicago area for at least another month or month and a half!) The patio is a nice little wood fenced in area with lots of tables and a back tap bar. Not sure if that set-up is still the same.... This is a great local bar with a lot of rustic, homey charm. I'd definitely recommend if you want good local beer in a friendly old-school bar.

My husband and I went to Steep Ravine Brewing with some friends for lunch on a Saturday. The…read morerestaurant was about half full with outdoor seating available. We ordered the nachos for an appetizer. They were good without being too spicy. Then I ordered the pulled pork with sweet potato fries as an entrée. I loved the barbecue flavor and onion ring. My husband had the quesabirria tacos which were amazing. I wish I had room to try the churros for dessert. Everything was very good and I'll be back to try more.
