They added extra taco shells instead. Hard to eat, very dry, messy, made incorrectly. Steak Quesadilla - The bag was ripped and it was spilled over other items. I grew up with Taco Bell (though my parents never took me there, I went with friends afterschool) and I still get the occasional desire to think outside the bun. Something about the taste of the Meximelt makes me feel like a teenager again. I was genuinely excited that they finally brought back the low fat menu items and that they introduced the Volcano Taco. The low fat fresco menu consists of 9 items and they provide calorie and fat content information on the sign and their website. Nothing has over 8 grams of fat. There aren't that many chicken options and they have too many crunchy tacos. * Volcano taco ($1.09) - the red taco shell was crispy and spicy but also tasted stale. The filling tastes the same as the usual Taco Bell taco though it's supposed to have a special sauce. * Ranchero chicken soft taco, fresco style ($2.45) - very salty and sour with dry chicken, lettuce, tomatoes and fiesta salsa. I didn't like it because of the sour fiesta salsa, I think. I should stick with the Meximelt or try another location. I have been to enough locations to believe that they aren't all the same. The food is better at some locations. The service was very perky and upbeat. Surprisingly so. The dining room looked like it hadn't been cleaned for awhile though. Not much has changed since last review. I have to say...I don't know if management (not ownership) has changed. This location is consistently dirty. There is always food on the floors, crumbs everywhere, wrappers here and there. While I believe people should clean up after themselves unfortunately they don't. The staff here needs to keep a better eye on these things and clean up the tables they have. They alse still have trouble keeping the cooked chicken "inventory" ready. This location is consistently the worst Taco Bell I've EVER been to. I'm nearly 50 years old and I've been going to Taco Bell since I was a kid in 1974. So believe me! I know what Taco Bell food and quality should taste like. I've patronized this Taco Bell from time to time for the last 8 years. Always hoping that it will improve and it's always the absolute worst. In fact, I've reported them to corporate before for their terrible food. The beans in the burritos and tostadas are always dry and hard. Everything is tasteless and poorly made. It's like corporate has never come and given training on how to make anything!! Tortillas aren't folded right. Cheese is not placed on the food in correct amount, just everything. And to make matters worse. This store, along with several others in San Francisco is owned, as a Franchise, by the same man. A man who seems to like nickel and diming his customers. No other Taco Bell anywhere will charge you for extra red sauce. But he does! At all of his locations. Asking for extra red sauce is not asking for something that does't already come on the item. It's just asking for a little more. Think about it. All you want them to do is to tilt the ladle a little longer while they wave it paste your burrito and they want to charge you a quarter for that. I walk in and I'm greeted by a fly buzzing around my face. I swat it away and I go to the counter to order. The food is good- pretty much a standard taco bell joint. The tables look clean and it doesn't smell. GOOD. Its really funny tho as I people-watch bc there are flies flying around them as they eat their food. Hahaha. It's fast food. If you've been to one run by disgruntled employees, you can expect the same everywhere. Since I want to include all the places I've eaten at in the parkside district of SF on my list, I figured it's about time I review this joint. 1st off: Extraordinary amount of kids from the local schools go here. 2nd: SUPER slow time to recieve your order. I don't expect a quick 5 minutes later and you got your wings or taco, but going over 10 minutes when no one else is in line is kinda obscene. 3rd: Crappy attitudes, by both patrons and servers. Oi. Standing in line, listening to someone prattle on about extra ketchup or sauce or some other crap, leaves me... well... feeling like them. Final: You almost always feel like crap after eating fast food. Yeah you're full, but now you know you're gonna end up like those obese fatties on the Biggest Loser. Maybe not that drastic, but you sure feel that way. If you're gonna eat junky crap like that, there are better alternatives around. And I for sure don't like to complain about employees when it comes to fast food because I try to understand that they're extremely busy and maybe they're having a bad day already so they're just trying to work through it. So I understand it can get frustrating and irritating. But I had to write a review on my experience on the day of May 31st approximately around 5pm ish. I was craving for chalupas so I yelped to see where is the closest Taco Bell. This location popped up. I decided to look on their menu to see if there's any specials. And noticed they had a chalupa $5.00 box. And also noticed if you check in you get a free cookie. When I got to the location, the line was extremely long. But I really wanted to get the $5.00 deal. So I waited. When it was my turn to order, the employee name Kevin was helping me with my order. I asked about the $5.00 chalupa box and he looked at me like I was crazy. And pointed at the menu and asked me do I see it on the menu. I tried to explain it to him that I saw it on yelp on their website's menu and he again pointed to the menu. He all of sudden pretended like he didn't speak English and started to act like he had an accent. (Mind you, when he was helping the gentlemen before me, he spoke English well with no accent what so ever). I felt awkward so I ordered a random combo deal with chalupas. I then showed him that I checked in and requested for the free cookie. He looked at my phone and shrugged. And stated, 'oh, I don't know what that is, free cookie? What is that? We don't do that here'. Again, speaking with an accent. After paying for my order. I waited in the restaurant. And I observed Kevin all of a sudden spoke English without an accent. Kevin was extremely not helpful and I honestly felt like he was borderline racist. They were so rude about taking my order. Didn't tell me when they were out of a dipping sauce just threw a different one in. I ordered chicken also and they didn't even put that in they gave me some tacos instead ?!? The person I got that for went hungry that night and I still payed for all the food. I was actually a little apprehensive since I thought I'd be there all the time and gain about 20 lbs. But this Taco Bell is TERRIBLE. The beans are thick and dry and taste like crap. Amazing as always. The staff is always nice, the toilet is surprisingly always clean, the food is simply the best taco bell I've ever eaten. One time I was with friends around, at 2:00 AM very hungry and there was nothing to eat. We found this place on GOGLE maps and decided we must eat something. We entered the place empty handed and the sweet cashier understood where we came from. He quickly told the professional chef to cook us a food with V rating of tasty (V for very). This is my place for grease, hands down. The one thing I dislike about this place it the crowds that they bring in for being so close to Lincoln High. Bunch of pubescent teens that try to act hard in front of the girls but really have no bite to the bark. They just really piss me off when I am standing there in line waiting to order. Idiots trash the place and try to get all in the face of the people that work there. But, of course, they know better because when you get kicked out, you are kicked out for a long while. I almost never write yelp reviews but oh boy do I have some things to say about this place. For starters, I have two free taco coupons (from a previously atrocious costumer experience at a Taco Bell) which say that they can be used on ANY taco of your choice. I order a taco supreme and a double decker taco and ask to use the coupons on those. The woman at the counter reuses and says they can only be used on regular or soft tacos (though nowhere on the coupon is this explicitly stated). I let this go and order anyways. This Taco Bell happens to be combined with a KFC. In addition to my tacos, I order one biscuit. Though they charged me for it, the biscuit was NOT in the bag of items I received! Speaking of the bag, they charged me for it without asking if I wanted a bag. Should I have been prompted with the question, I would've said no because the items I got could've easily been carried without a bag. Finally, I got home to find that the taco I ordered only had filling on ONE SIDE!!! Half the shell was left completely empty and to top it all off, the meat was cold. This entire experience was an abomination and a disgrace to the prestigious name of Taco Bell. Absolutely the worst customer service! There is one woman in particular who completely disregards the customer experience. She carries herself like the manager, and if she is that is a shame. Ownership needs to revamp their staff. She curses in front of patrons and is completely inefficient in her job. The rest of the staff is inefficient as well. Today I watched for 25 minutes (while I was the second person waiting in line mind you) as they refilled sauce packets, cleaned out containers, and restocked boxes, lids, and wrappers rather than taking customer orders. In fact, as one woman was ordering, they stopped ringing her up to clean out a container and refill sauces instead of completing the transaction. So, not only was the line held up, but her order wasn't even in the works! Meanwhile, there is a line of customers to the door. They have partnered with Postmates and Grubhub, but if you are a courier for either of these services and you accept an order from here lord help your rating and your tip because you will leave your customer waiting for much longer than they expect pretty much every time. The staff clearly prioritizes in house orders over the Postmates and Grubhub orders they receive. I watched as several people were served who ordered way after delivery drivers who were waiting. I would highly suggest that Postmates and Grubhub stop partnering with this particular Taco Bell location. I myself will not step foot inside of there again! read more

Let me start with this - this place should NOT be called "fast food"! It took over 45 minutes to make 2 bean burritos and 1 taco! And this is with more people behind the counter working then in the lobby! After another 10-15 mins of waiting in the lobby and watching the rest of the employees there goofing off and throwing things around, I politely asked again. "How is order "123" looking? Almost finished?" The response I got was shocking: "You have only been waiting for 25 minutes!" ARE YOU SERIOUS HERE!?!?!? ONLY 25 MINUTES!!!??? I politely asked her for her name as she appeared to be the manager and she covered her name tag, turned away and ignored me. I asked another employee there what her name was, complete silence; no reply. I asked a third person there what her name was and this time I got a reply: "If you don't want to wait you don't have to wait. You can leave and just cancel the order" HELLO!!!!!!! I have waited for almost half an hour and have already paid!!!! Aside from the fact that this place is always unsanitary and dirty and extremely messy; there is always ALWAYS a long LONG wait! But this time coupled with the way they acted - FORGET IT!! People need to be made aware of this - this is no way to treat anyone!!! read more

Did not bother to stand in front of the computer to take my order even though she was not doing anything at the time. Uniform was dirty and unprofessional. The restaurant is dirty, old, and small. On-site parking is inadequate (3-4 spaces). Food tasted different compared to other Taco Bell locations. Sauce tasted really bland. Personally, I think this is the best kfc in san Francisco,they have 2 of the best workers in estie and gill. No matter how busy it gets it doesn't effect their customer service, i'm always treated fairly and they make you want to come back. Great service - 2 people at the counter/cash register (Marilyn and Joshua) were great. Fast service, very clear explanation of the order back to us, and counting change back and saying where we could pick-up the order/that someone would call out our name. And that it would take just a few minutes because they were making another batch of chicken. Super customer service!
