First off, I will say that I enjoyed the food. It was good. I liked my carnitas tacos and the beans were delicious! However, we came here because it said they're vegan-friendly. Unfortunately, my friend who's vegan couldn't order anything. She asked if the rice was vegan and they informed her it's made with chicken consommé. :( She had other options like chips & salsa or a salad, but if you're having Mexican food, you want beans and rice. It was entertaining and fun watching the staff make burritos. It's clearly a very good skill, almost an art, seeing them roll the giant tortillas into a beautiful tight humongous burritos. Just a warning though, if you are vegan, there is a lot of cross contamination happening with the ladles picking up meat across the counter and seeing sauce spilling onto other trays or dishes. When we arrived, there was a long line of folks. I knew this place was going to be good! We ordered tacos and burritos and they were all delicious!! I think I have found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! I've gone twice and have enjoyed a tender juicy Lengua taco along with a Carne Asada Super burrito. The meat is tasty and the guacamole and salsa fresh. The folks work really hard and provide good service as they are popular. If there's a line it moves relatively quickly. I forgot how good the food was at la corneta! I ordered a few items and had it delivered. The super burrito was perfectly filled with all the fixings. You can even opt for a wheat tortilla for a slightly less guilty dining experience. In addition to the burrito, I ordered a tostada because I was craving a salad. Okay, to be clear I know it's not actually a salad. It just has some fresh cut lettuce on top of all the good stuff. The fried tortilla bowl was amazing and paired perfectly with the contents of the bowl. I enjoyed the experience as I broke a piece of the bowl and scooped the rice with condiments. It's basically like a fresh big tortilla chip shaped as a bowl. If you haven't tried it, I highly suggest ordering it from here! The roasted salsa had tons of depth and the avocado sauce was surprisingly very creamy in a good way! There's one thing that I was unimpressed by and that was the quesadilla. Please do something about the wait time. I get it, there's a a lot of mobile orders. But to continually prioritize those and have all of your in-house patrons wait in line soooooooooo long is absurd. Usually there's only 1-2 staff taking care of customers that are in the line which is 15-20 people long consistently. All other staff are just taking care of the mobile orders. Don't penalize your customers who come in to your taqueria and fix the line issue. read more

I grew up going to La Corneta in Burlingame and recently came to their Glen Park location for lunch. It got busy during the weekday lunch rush with locals, but service was great and the line moved. I loved my Regular Burrito with grilled chicken/pollo with the addition of their grilled onions. It was large (2 meals!) and filling, and tasty and flavorful. Great local taqueria popular with locals. Can get very busy during meal hours. They also have strong phone in take out business which does impact people waiting inline. Thus the 4 stars. They may need to come up with a process which serves phone in orders with less impact on people waiting inline. The regular burritos are good but the especial with super (add $2.50 for Guac, sour cream, cheese and lettuce) is much better but of course you pay a premium We love lengua and the last two times we went they didn't have it. Grabbed a quick meal before heading home. The pictures are better than the food. As Californians, we collectively pride ourselves on the diversity in variety of Mexican food throughout the entire state, so it's a huge disappointment when a restaurant doesn't meet even the basic marks. For me, it's always a tall towel sign when I try the chips and salsa. The chips were just not good, but ironically, the salsa was pretty tasty. So unless you're prepared just to eat it with a spoon so you can skip the bad chips, it's kind of like what happened with the chips?! I ordered a super quesadilla with Carne Asada. The tortilla was really crisp, not greasy, and nothing special. The Carne Asada was so underwhelming that I wish that I just ordered something else. The meat was tough, lacked flavor and seasoning. I had the guac on the side, and it had that tainted taste, which made me question its freshness. Parking is what it's going to be in San Francisco, not easy. I asked if it was spicy. she said No. When I got home I saw the containers and both were pretty empty plus it was pretty spicy as it had pieces of Serrano peppers. As I mentioned in my last review, this is my new go-to restaurant for Mexican cuisine. The first time I went here, I ordered super Nachos, at a very reasonable price. There was so much that I could only eat half, taking the other half to work the following day. The second time I visited, I ordered regular nachos. Still a lot and I could barely finish. This time, a baby burrito and churro. Everything was prepared so well. So flavorful. So delicious. Once again, the price was reasonable. I read the reviews and almost all 5-stars. Unfortunately Yelp let me down here. It was deceiving as when we arrived the line was very long as well, so we thought we were in for some great food. They have about 6 tables and it was kept fairly clean. When getting to the front of the line, the chaos began. I had three different employees ask me for my order, then two ask me about which beans I wanted. My enchiladas were cold wrapped tortillas then some sweet sauce placed on top. Honestly it was like a thick marinara, not good at all. Then my plate was popped into a microwave. The woman at the register was also hectic and asked 4x if we got our guacamole, even though it was in front of her. My husband's chile relleno, also microwaved, was OK but something was off about it. I got carnitas and al pastor. The carnitas wasn't bad but also wasn't very good. The al pastor was inedible, and I felt sick afterwards. The agua frescas lacked flavor and the guacamole was bland. We were wondering why this place had such a long line, then realized it was near a BART station. So now we are assuming that people are coming here because of convenience versus actual craving. Honestly, save your money and your calories for actually good Mexican food. There are so many other options in the city. The two stars are because the salsas were delicious, but that's it. My hot take is that I don't think the best burritos in the Bay Area are in SF, so maybe it's because I hadn't been here yet? I checked them out and got a carne asada super burrito and a couple prawn ceviche tostadas. The burrito ingredients were of good quality, and it came together well. The burrito isn't ginormous but a lot of burritos out here really aren't that big either. The ceviche tasted good and the hot sauce they pair it with brings it together. Also had the pollo on a second visit and it tasted pretty good too. A solid 4 star burrito but still not one to say that SF is home to the best burritos across the bay but definitely worth the spot for a good quality burrito at a very reasonable price. Worth mentioning that their verde and pico salsas that they give on the side are some of the best I've had at a taqueria. This place did not disappoint. Came here with an old college friend because it was one of his favorite childhood spots growing up. Parking outside was easy on Diamond St. considering we met up early on a Wednesday. I got lucky and found a close-by meter with plenty of time already on it. They are CASH ONLY, so please come prepared before enjoying the delicious food. I got an order of super veggie nachos and cantaloupe agua fresca. The ladies behind the counter that made our orders were working very hard. Perhaps the one that made my nachos was a bit tired that day, because she was certain there was sour cream on my nachos, but there wasn't. They were yummy regardless though, and perhaps I didn't need the extra calories that day. Inside there were enough seats for about 15 people, including the five seats at the window. Usually I get the Super grill chicken Burrito since it's only 2$ more than the regular and that fills me up to the max. The meat and salsa is the best part. It's not salty and the they have the right amount of rice, black beans, quac, and salsa that makes it super tasty. Prices are pretty decent 13$ b4 taxes for a burrito. No offer from this location to make it right, remake our order even though we had been waiting for our order for 20 minutes. . No one would help us at all.
