Please do something about the wait time. I get it, there's a a lot of mobile orders. But to continually prioritize those and have all of your in-house patrons wait in line soooooooooo long is absurd. Usually there's only 1-2 staff taking care of customers that are in the line which is 15-20 people long consistently. All other staff are just taking care of the mobile orders. Don't penalize your customers who come in to your taqueria and fix the line issue.

I grew up going to La Corneta in Burlingame and recently came to their Glen Park location for lunch. It got busy during the weekday lunch rush with locals, but service was great and the line moved. I loved my Regular Burrito with grilled chicken/pollo with the addition of their grilled onions. It was large (2 meals!) and filling, and tasty and flavorful. It's a good value and I appreciated the free chips--some places don't give you those anymore! Would be back.

2026 update. La Corneta Taqueria is still awesome. You can tell from my photos, I come here a lot. They are on my mental shortlist of a great meal. The flavors are second to none in terms of spiciness and freshness. When out of town friends come, I take them here. That's how good they are. Last night's meal was a green chili verde chicken taco salad $14.50. Simply delicious. Good job everyone at La Corneta.

Great local taqueria popular with locals. Can get very busy during meal hours. They also have strong phone in take out business which does impact people waiting inline. Thus the 4 stars. They may need to come up with a process which serves phone in orders with less impact on people waiting inline. The regular burritos are good but the especial with super (add $2.50 for Guac, sour cream, cheese and lettuce) is much better but of course you pay a premium We love lengua and the last two times we went they didn't have it. Had to settle for other protein. A bit chaotic restaurant with so many people inline and minimal seating. But folks are seriously enjoying the ambiance and food. Still a go to taqueria close to home

Grabbed a quick meal before heading home. The pictures are better than the food. As Californians, we collectively pride ourselves on the diversity in variety of Mexican food throughout the entire state, so it's a huge disappointment when a restaurant doesn't meet even the basic marks. For me, it's always a tall towel sign when I try the chips and salsa. The chips were just not good, but ironically, the salsa was pretty tasty. So unless you're prepared just to eat it with a spoon so you can skip the bad chips, it's kind of like what happened with the chips?! I ordered a super quesadilla with Carne Asada. The tortilla was really crisp, not greasy, and nothing special. The Carne Asada was so underwhelming that I wish that I just ordered something else. The meat was tough, lacked flavor and seasoning. I had the guac on the side, and it had that tainted taste, which made me question its freshness. Parking is what it's going to be in San Francisco, not easy. The restaurant itself was clean and the staff was OK. Not a place I plan on going back to.

Great tasting food but a little on the pricey side. Convenient ordering through the app since it gets very busy. Low rating due to finding a hair in the salsa.

As I mentioned in my last review, this is my new go-to restaurant for Mexican cuisine. The first time I went here, I ordered super Nachos, at a very reasonable price. There was so much that I could only eat half, taking the other half to work the following day. The second time I visited, I ordered regular nachos. Still a lot and I could barely finish. This time, a baby burrito and churro. Everything was prepared so well. So flavorful. So delicious. Once again, the price was reasonable. I read the reviews and almost all 5-stars. This restaurant is highly recommended, and I recommend as well. Thank you so very much to the chef and staff who prepared my dinner. If I could give more than 5-stars, I would.

Unfortunately Yelp let me down here. It was deceiving as when we arrived the line was very long as well, so we thought we were in for some great food. They have about 6 tables and it was kept fairly clean. When getting to the front of the line, the chaos began. I had three different employees ask me for my order, then two ask me about which beans I wanted. My enchiladas were cold wrapped tortillas then some sweet sauce placed on top. Honestly it was like a thick marinara, not good at all. Then my plate was popped into a microwave. The woman at the register was also hectic and asked 4x if we got our guacamole, even though it was in front of her. My husband's chile relleno, also microwaved, was OK but something was off about it. I got carnitas and al pastor. The carnitas wasn't bad but also wasn't very good. The al pastor was inedible, and I felt sick afterwards. The agua frescas lacked flavor and the guacamole was bland. We were wondering why this place had such a long line, then realized it was near a BART station. So now we are assuming that people are coming here because of convenience versus actual craving. Honestly, save your money and your calories for actually good Mexican food. There are so many other options in the city. The two stars are because the salsas were delicious, but that's it. Try at your own risk. We threw out our leftovers as we didn't want to get sick again.

One of my favorite taquerias in San Francisco. I love that you can customize almost everything. They have a wide variety of meat options and several salsas. My favorite thing to order is super nachos. Ask for the salsa rotisada and pickled red onions on top. The service is very quick too. Don't be intimidated by a long line.

I saw that P-Lo said this was one of his favorite burrito spots in the city so I knew I had to come and check it out. My hot take is that I don't think the best burritos in the Bay Area are in SF, so maybe it's because I hadn't been here yet? I checked them out and got a carne asada super burrito and a couple prawn ceviche tostadas. The burrito ingredients were of good quality, and it came together well. The burrito isn't ginormous but a lot of burritos out here really aren't that big either. The ceviche tasted good and the hot sauce they pair it with brings it together. Also had the pollo on a second visit and it tasted pretty good too. A solid 4 star burrito but still not one to say that SF is home to the best burritos across the bay but definitely worth the spot for a good quality burrito at a very reasonable price. Worth mentioning that their verde and pico salsas that they give on the side are some of the best I've had at a taqueria. The place had a nice home-y vibe that integrates well with the Glen Park area and the workers are focused on delivering your food quickly. Lines can be long.

went on a friday at lunchtime and while there was no line, all the tables were occupied except for a few window bar seats. service was prompt, nothing special stood out. line moves down the glass case towards the register. wish they disclosed the agua frescas on the board, but was pleasantly surprised when i got to the register and saw their selection behind the counter. also got a complimentary side of chips which was nice, just wish i got salsa with it too. review of the stuff i got: horchata: 8/10. this horchata was GREAT. it had a good flavor balance of rice, sweetness, and cinnamon. most horchatas i've had are way too watery and/or too sweet. i was very impressed with this one (at first i was hoping to get a cup and was kinda bummed when i didn't see any, but thankfully it was just hiding behind the person at the register) carnitas especial burrito: 8/10. portion looked small, but it was super filling (i forgot to upgrade it to super for an additional $2.50 but i still didn't finish it). you got a choice of black/pinto beans, i chose black. i really liked their rice because it was that classic orangey one, but had some peas and (i think) carrots in it too. the carnitas was perfectly cooked, not too dry and the marinade wasn't bland/watery. the mild sauce was a bit too bland for me, but gave a nice aspect of freshness to the burrito. my only con is that it fell apart towards the middle of me eating it. i would definitely come back here! it was very cozy and i loved the ambiance and familial vibes i got here. the food and horchata was amazing and it's so close to glen park bart too, so quite convenient. parking does kinda suck though

Do they melt the cheese inside the burrito?

No but I'm sure you could ask them to do it

Do chips and salsa come with orders placed via uber eats or DoorDash?

We got one bag of chips and salsa with our order of 3 items. Small bag but it was full.

Resturant is closed down? Any knows how long?

Hi! Hopefully just a couple weeks while we finish repairs.

Hi there! Has anyone had any luck with getting a hold of La Corneta for catering? I've tried calling multiple times along with many emails and have had no response. Any tip would be greatly appreciated. Or maybe they don't cater anymore?

They catered for me in May, so I would assume they still do. Try calling this guy Joel, I believe he is the catering manager. 650-219-3446. Good luck!

Over the years I've found myself drawn to the other contender in the Mission way more than El Farolito, so I decided it was time to head back to try this legendary burrito shop. Getting to this location is super simple as we took BART and got off at the 24th Street Mission BART station and from there it's a very short walk of less than a block to get to El Farolito. Walking into the shop one is just slapped in the face with the beautiful smells of the carne asada cooking on the grill right by the door-it's wonderful. It's a modest place that you can definitely tell was built many years ago,so no overly modern amenities-this place cares about the food, not the ambiance. We ended up going with a couple of super burritos of Carne Asada ($11.25) & a regular burrito of Al Pastor($10.25) & also added two tacos one with Al Pastor and one with Carne Asada($4.75) They had beers at $4.75-so we grabbed a couple of Modelos. First the tacos-they were just ok,the tacos were crunchy and I don't know kind of gave Taco Bell vibes. Burritos though-that's a whole different animal. The burrito was so well made from the chew of the tortilla to the seasoning of the carne asada to the perfect balance and mix of all the other ingredients.I judge a burrito harshly if the mix isn't right and you don't get every ingredient in every bite and the mix at El Farolito was flawless. The price point was pretty impressive as well. In closing, El Farolito has always been in the mix as one of the top burrito spots in the Mission, and I can say with confidence that it's in my Top 2 in San Francisco currently. It's an incredible burrito and a true "must-visit" spot when visiting San Francisco. P.S. Just a slight heads up when visiting , it's not the safest neighborhood in the world, so just keep your head up when visiting-this is a place one visits for the food experience not the ambiance.

A few people were already in there eating, and we know this place is good, as a few others in our group and I have been here multiple times.
