Found this charm closed to PGA Superstore. Place is almost hidden but glad I found it. The lady was very friendly and explained how everything works. I ended up getting Bistec and pastor tacos. Both were very good and the tortilla were warm and toasty! Place is not that big but able to accommodate a large party they have Mondays specials that offer tacos specials for less!

The food is delish! The meat from the bistec was very good quality, as it dint have a lot of the fat and skin that other bistec tacos have. The bistec quesadillas were delicious! The flour tortillas are very light and crisp! My daughter had 2 bean and cheese tacos! She loves them!! Will definitely come back to whenever I crave good quality tacos!!!

I was CRAVING some loaded mini tacos, and wasn't sure if San Antonio really offered anything like that but I was determined to find some... & BOOM. Taco Blvd delivered. I was highly impressed with these tacos, I did prefer the pastor over the bistek, but both were delicious. But those SPECIAL BEANS!!! Let me tell you. I would buy those by the gallon. Sooooooo yummy. To drink, I think I got the hibiscus agua Fresca, I can't really remember but it was delicious, but a little sweet. The service was fast, and good. Nothing crazy. The restaurant is a little crowded, but only because it's busy and delicious. The prices aren't crazy, but it was a little pricey for 2 people for lunch, that's my only complaint. But you get what you pay for!

The bistec taquitos were solid--juicy, a little char on the edges, plenty of avocado and crumbled queso fresco. Pastor had just enough sweetness, though one taco was overloaded with onions. Tortillas hit fresh off the griddle, soft and warm, but a couple were a bit too chewy, like they stayed on the heat just a second too long. Combo 1's a good deal--six tacos and a drink fills you up without hurting your wallet. Horchata had that creamy, cinnamon kick without being overly sweet. The hibiscus agua fresca tasted like they actually steeped the flowers, not just poured from a mix. Special beans came with chunks of beef and avocado, more like a stew than a side, in the best way. Inside's casual, colorful, and covered in pop culture calaveras. Fast service, no attitude. Worth it for a relaxed taco fix that feels homemade but with restaurant speed.

Street tacos: Taquito Barbacoa on corn. Typical and $1.89

Service was good, but food is pricey and disappointing. I expected the true 8in and 12in tacos that the food influencers posted, but that's not what I received. The chips are good and fresh. The bean and cheese taco was good. The volcano was good but not worth the price.

I come here at least once a month. They're my go-to taco spot. I've never been disappointed with the food. My usual orders are the mini tacos (you pick your choice of meat and it comes with onion, cilantro, avocado and queso fresco). The meat (I get bistec) is always so tender and flavorful but for me what really makes a good taco is the salsa options! They have several to pick from, I personally get the salsa verde. It's so creamy and just the perfect amount of spicy. Occasionally I'll get the orange salsa (habanero) and let me tell you.. it's just as good. It really makes for the perfect taco. As far as service, I've never had any issues. Although a perk for me for days I prefer not to speak with anyone at all, they have two kiosks right when you walk in so you can just place the order yourself. Makes for a quicker transaction for when someone is already ordering at the register. The restaurant and bathrooms have always been clean when I visit. You all just gotta trust me... tacos are 10/10! If you haven't been here please give them a try.

Taco Blvd makes some excellent traditional tacos. They are affordable, have a variety of sizes, and delicious. Located in the 1604 area, the restaurant is fairly small with about 8 - 10 tables. It is clean and sparsely decorated, and I love the pictures of various well known celebrities with Catrina face painting. Staff is friendly and efficient. I have ordered from them quite a few times, and their tacos are always well cooked and prepared. I also think their salsas are absolutely fabulous. I can't recommend this place enough, especially if looking for al pastor tacos and quesadillas.

Made our way to experience Taco Blvd and it was all we could ask for. We enjoyed some of the best tacos so far. I had the bistek and al pastor and they were delicious. Not to mention their salsa selection that went from mild to super spicy along with my favorite green guac salsa. Late night spot if you're hungry because they have late hours so give them a visit and you will definitely not be disappointed. read more

Made a phone order at 12:46 PM arrive within 15-20 minutes to make sure it was ready but the time I arrive. My order was not started till I got to the restaurant and then had to wait an additional 45 minutes. Restaurant was not busy at all their was only 5 tables with customers and by the looks all had already gotten their food. read more

Saw this place on instagram and i just knew i needed to try this out. The location wasn't hard to miss and the service was exceptional! i orders the asada taquitos with monterrey cheese, chicken taquitos and the pastor quesadilla. Oh my goodness, i kid you not i was about to drive 30 minutes from where i live back to Taco Blvd and order some more! the flavor was there, the toppings were definitely there, they did not miss with this! i highly suggest this place if you really want good mini tacos, i will be back soon hopefully to get even more ! read more

Found this place on yelp. Figured why not right? Get here, took a little bit to read the menu to really decide what I wanted. Just seeing the photos on yelp of all their delicious looking tacos I knew what I wanted but I had to make sure I got a little bit of everything. GOOD TACOS! Was not disappointed! Definitely coming back to this taco place for more!! UPDATE: About 6 months later this place is my absolute favorite! I just love their al pastor quesadilla and an order of al pastor mini tacos! Sounds like too much al pastor, but it's not! :) just get their tacos, you'll be happy you did! read more

This new taco place is excellent! It is in the same location that used to sell the worst tacos ever. I hope the public doesn't think it's the same tacos. The tacos don't come 4,5,6 to an order, they are sold individually. The to go box is life, so cute! The assortment of salsa have me sold. The quality of the corn tortillas and quest fresco are up to my standards. The charro beans are a must. read more

First time I ate here the meat was very salty. The second time I ate here the meat was good but the tacos were crazy small I thought everything in Texas was bigger? Only thing big here was my tab. To expensive for mini tacos that are not all that good. Maybe one day I'll give them a 3rd try, but not anytime soon. read more

This is our first time trying this place and the food we ordered was horrible. The Barbacoa tacos were the worst tacos I've ever eaten. My husband tried his tacos and he said it was Ok and my kids had one bite of their chorizo & egg tacos. I was very disappointed the only day we order food so I don't have to cook was not good. read more

I am a Brownsville native and i have been looking for valley style tacos for the past two years and i finally found them! I saw an ad online and had to go try them! They are just like the ones back home and i will be definitely be coming back. I had al pastor and bistec and they were really good, the service was fast despite being packed, and they have real mexican cokes and aguas frescas. I can't wait to go back and try the chorizo con queso (choriqueso) or a gringa. The tortillas are honestly the best. And the best thing is that they are in a nice location only 10 minutes away from my home. They have three different salsas and they were all really good( my favorite was the green one) The place is cozy and clean and they have really cool art displayed. I lil tough to find, but definitely worth the find. A definite gem on a side of town where authentic Mexican is hard to find. They are known for their tacos, but their flautas and 12" quesadilla is bomb af. Cons: no signage outside, directly behind Chic-fil-a. read more

Dry bistec. Chicken quesadilla had what seemed like puré chicken meat. Flavor is only halfway there on any of their food. Would I recommend people eat here, no. I also wouldn't advise against it. Kind of place you go once to. Call ahead, menu is complicated enough that most people take forever to order. read more

Food poisoning. Rotten Asada. Whole family suffered vomiting and diarrhea the next morning . Called and asked for manager - cashier stated he will be in on Monday. When I asked for a name he said he didn't know . How can you know the manager will be in Monday but not his name? They need to learn basic food handling. Sad as this WAS one of our favorite taco shops. read more

These is the best Mexico style taco joint I've found in SA. I lived in rgv for about 8 years and would try many diff taco places or just go straight to the source, Mexico. Since moving up to SA, it was a struggle to find the best tacos and this place is it. It's affordable, full of flavor. It's a place I go to often when I am needing my taco fix. If you live in San Antonio and haven't been to Taco Blvd on Blanco wydddd?? this place is super tasty but kinda tucked away location-wise. 10/10. Anyway- as for the tacos- all of them were PACKED with flavor. The al pastor (marinated pork) taco was MARINATED TO PERFECTION. I have no complaints about this one. The bistec taco was my favorite one. The meat was also super flavorful and the avocado, cilantro, onion, and queso fresco on it was a heavenly combo. I'll be honest- I looked at reviews on yelp and the chicken tacos got the most 'eh' reviews. For me, these were right under the bistec tacos! They were yummy as hell. Last but not least, the barbacoa taco was really good just by itself. However, if you're feelin a lil crazy add some lime and habanero salsa and it'll blow u away. As for the horchata, it was sweet but not holy-shit-I-need-a-drink-of-milk-after-tasting-that typa sweet and it had a lil hint of vanilla :) ‍ read more

Y'all! I'm from The Valley and it's so hard to find tacos that even come close to anything there! Hahaha I know my valley people will agree when I say it's hard to compete with those tacos. ANYHOW, Taco Blvd is delicious!!!!! Too bad there isn't one closer to our house or we'd be there every week! This place makes me feel like I'm home. I have been looking for 40 years for tacos that compare to the beloved street tacos of Mexico City. Finally I found it here at this small, unassuming taqueria. The taquitos I had at lunch were perfection. The small corn tortillas filled with beef, cilantro and onion are exactly as they should be. If you desire a large heavier Texas version they have those as well, but I highly recommend the taquitos.... a lot of them! read more

10/10. Always have a good experience every time i get tacos from here. Order the same thing six bistek taquitos with a Mexican coke, which are always on point. I did try something new which was a flour taco, it was good plenty of meat but the tortilla felt a little gooey on the inside, I really didn't notice it till the very end. I know everyone makes their tortillas differently, just caught me off guard. read more

Very authentic and delicious tacos! San Antonio has a large number of taco spots, but this one stands out as one of the best. We tried the al pastor, bistec, and barbacoa and loved all of them. I also really enjoyed their frijoles especiales. The aguas frescas were the perfect addition to the meal. We will definitely be back. read more

(It had Just Egg but I think other things added with it. It felt that it was softer and lighter than if it was only Just Egg) and pico de gallo on handmade flour tortilla. We were surprised by how much we enjoyed it. Their two self-serve complementary salsas were also fun and creamy. Concha- Delicious and we liked the top of it. Maybe one of our favorite conchas. Elote hot cake - Came out really hot and was delicious. These are only available on weekends. I was tempted to get more but we had lots more food targets on the schedule. Torta with Asada was pretty good too. But the other items excited me more I think. The person at the front also gave us some samples of other taco fillings to try: the fillings of the La Ranchera: Potatoes and pico de gallo in salsa ranchera and also grilled nopales. My husband who is usually not as crazy as me about nopales liked them here. They have mole on the weekends but it's not housemade from scratch. They use premade mole and add some more things to it so we skipped that one. With the aroma coming from the grill and all the recommendations I'd heard, I was expecting a little more flavor and a bigger wow factor. The atmosphere was fun, the service was good, and the charcoal grill definitely adds to the experience. I just found the food itself to be more "solid" than "spectacular." I'd rate it about a 7 out of 10. Worth trying if you're already at El Camino, but not a place I'd go out of my way for.

As a fellow citizen of H-town, we have a vibrant taco scene and I would put this place up there with some of my favorite spots I frequented in HOU. Each time I've been here, I've ordered between 8-9 tacos as they are each $2.50. I've gotten a combination of pastor, barbacoa, lengua, bistec, and cabeza. I can't really select a favorite cause they're all so delicious with the meats tender and juicy with a heaping sprinkle of onions and cilantro. Make sure you squeeze the lime on it and mix it with the radish/cucumber garnish they'll throw in there. And don't forget to throw on that green/red salsa they provide. Either eat there or get it to go (which is what I did). Fortunately the tacos travel well as they were still hot when I posted up at my hotel to grub. Don't be discouraged of the long line if you see one as it moves quick. You walk up and place your order, then pay afterwards. It's somewhat of an honor system but there is security present when I went there so that eased my concerns. For drinks, it's either soft drinks, water, or mineral water. No alcohol is served here so if you want margaritas/micheladas/beer, you'll have to go elsewhere for that. No doubt I'm returning next time I'm in SA. Viva Taquitos West SIDE!

This is a very busy place. However, the waiter was simply incredible. Very attentive, very informative quite humorous. He was frankly part of the river walk entertainment. Extremely accommodating and instructive as well. You can't hope for much more from a server in Restaurant than this activity. The food is really quite good. How are the drinks. Extremely dependable and the portions are generous and equally wonderful. There are many places to dine in San Antonio. However, this is an experience not to be missed and I mean that quite sincerely. There was a musician playing on the stage in front of the distillery which is a nice touch for those who want to sit outside. We ordered old fashioned cocktails. I loved that they were made with block ice and even embossed the ice with the Devils River logo. The mixologist explained they don't do smoked old fashions due to fire hazard and location in a historic building. But he still made an engaging presentation in creating our cocktails. There was no food offered but they let us bring in voodoo donuts. The two gentlemen at the bar were very friendly and attentive and made our late night visit a special treat. I'd like to learn on my next visit to see if they do distillery tours. I'm sure you'll enjoy a trip to Devil's River.

The recurring major flaw, is the way the restaurant inside was designed. It is beautiful but made with all hard surfaces. Nothing present to absorb sounds. As a result sounds inside magnify to a point our servers have had to bend over or take a knee to gather clients food orders during busy times. I feel like I am ar a big Spurs game with the sound bouncing around. Those at our table have had a hard time to have a conversation with each other at times. The small room up front is designed so sound bouncing off hard surfaces is worst in this room. I have had to ask to be relocated twice from this room due the sound level. The kitchen area in the front do not have doors to abd from the kitcgen to the dinibg rooms. Another design flaw, as a result the seating areas loud sound comes into the kitchen area. I can not imagine how the staff communicate to each other in this work setting.

Taco Blvd. Is Awesome! I've now been to this location on Blanco Road twice, and both experiences have been absolutely amazing. Karla, the Manager/Cashier, was super friendly and helpful in explaining the menu while making the entire experience a positive one. I thought the décor was awesome--specifically the giant sugar skull on the left wall when you walk in! I was also pleasantly surprised to find out you can actually purchase some of the other cool, pop-culture-related art right off the walls. Neat stuff! If you're hungry out on Blanco Road, slide into the shopping center behind the Whataburger and Chick-Fil-A, for a San Antonio taco experience that's second to none. Stopped in with some friends from out of town, you have to have the street tacos! So good. Seriously, my husband went back to order more. We each got the marinated pork, followed my the barbacoa. There's not a ton of ingredients, just the meat, onion, cilantro + sauces on the table but that's what makes them so yummy. You can actually TASTE the flavors. We also got the side of charro beans which blew us away. Best charro we've had thus far. Plus, they're open until 3am. As a night shifter, this is awesome. Could use more seating but that's like #19 on my list of priorities when visiting this place, because I would sit on the ground a thousand times just to get my hands on these tacos. Yeah, well when a former employee Azuzena Cervantes was having an anxiety attack Rafael Reyes didn't let her go home despite the fact that she was puking in the restroom. Taco Blvd is the best tacos in SA hands down. I was hesitant at first due to the location, and because I been to multiple taco trucks in SA as well. Once I tried the food I really enjoyed it. Very authentic Mexican food. The Al Pastor is crunchy and not just tossed in orange sauce but actually cooked like Trompo! The Asada is very tasty as well as the barbacoa wrapped in cheese so every bite is flavorful. Lastly, the Frijoles Especiales are a must have. They also have thee types of salsa and creamy salsa verde which is my favorite. The only thing I didn't like is the price but it is worth every penny! read more

This is our favorite place for tacos, period! From street tacos, to quesadillas to delicious, one-of-a-kind beans...they have it all! You can order several of your favorite meat such as bistec topped with grilled onions, crema and cheese to delicious chicken, barbacoa or pork. It is all good. All is homemade and fresh. Salsas are delicious and they have three for you to choose from from mild to hot...I personally like the medium, yumm! Their aguas frescas are amazing-my favorite is mango! Tried Taco Blvd for the first time with a group of 5 and everything was great. Plenty of space and menu was easy to order from. Young girl at the register brought some of our food directly to our table and even cleared our plates when we were done (something she didnt have to do). I ordered 4 taquitos (3 bistek, 1 molleja) and all the meats were soft and tacos filled just enough. The frijoles especiales were especially good, add in their green salsa and our whole group left with our stomachs pleasantly filled. The tacos were flavorful and satisfying, and I appreciated the efficiency of the staff in getting our orders out quickly. However, considering the price point, I felt that there was room for improvement. While the quality of the tacos were great, I expected a bit more in terms of portion size or additional sides to accompany the meal. I am from Mexico.. the thing I miss the most is authentic Mexican street food. I found a spot on the Northside .. HOLD ON! Yes I said the NORTH SIDE that brings me back to a simpler time in Mexico. Definitely the best street tacos I've had in a while! The person working the register said that they do not get the tips that are left are credit cards and that owners keep them?! Shame on you! It doesn't matter if they make more than an average server... We don't leave tips for you to keep! Take care of the people that run your business... they were doing a great job! There are a few places in San Antonio that serve great tacos and this is one of those. The corn tortillas are good - a nice amount of oil that makes them far from dry and brittle. The menu is short but what is to be expected from a taco place. They serve horchata, jamaica and Mexican soda. Día de los muertos inspired pics are on the walls and a mirror with a neon sign that reads something to the tune of "call me pretty and feed me tacos". Perfect Instagram photo opportunity. Pirata and bistec taquitos are amazing!! We eat in and get to go frequently. Taco Blvd has the best tacos in San Antonio, hands down!! Impossible Taco!! Quickly became one of my favorite Taco places!! Noting in my head can pick something bad about this Taco. Beef, Chicken, Al Pastor, and Ham with Onions and Avocado and Cheese...all in One Taco?? Come on!! Highly Recommend It! And they have Horchata too! When It comes to the salsa, They have many! I tried this place for the first time. I must say their tacos are very good and at a decent price. They are so far the best street tacos I have tried in san Antonio. They come very close to the tacos from down the valley. The only thing is that they need to work on getting the orders out faster and the place is too small but the big amount of customers coming in every other minute. but I don't complain since they just opened and I know it will get better with time. read more

I must have tried over two dozen taco places since I moved to San Antonio from Chicago, each time more disappointing than the last (lettuce & tomatoes DO NOT go on tacos). Until now. I absolutely LOVE their 8" taco (quesadillas) & machetes! They're served with the traditional cebolla, cilantro, y queso. I must be in here 2-3 a week, to be honest. The al pastor was deliciously marinated, just missing pineapple! The barbacoa was delicious and tender, and luckily not greasy like many places you find. I read up on this place via their social media profiles which show some great looking tacos. My initial visit I had to go for the tacos. I got a pack of 4 tacos, 1 asada and 3 pastor. Along with a side of beans. All I got to say is the food was mouth watering good. The tacos though small are packed with so much flavor almost reminding me of tacos from the Rio Grande Valley.
