We ordered combo 1 with 6 corn tacos and combo 4 with 6 corn tacos and charro beans. Combos include a drink. Both the bistec tacos and barbacoa tacos were good. They come with Mexican cheese, cilantro , onion and some salsa. Service was just ok. Nothing impressive. Ambience seemed crowded. The only negative was the size of the tacos. They seem bite size compared to most places. One or 2 bites and little taco is gone. It was a one time visit just to try it out. Will not return. I've lived in Mexico for a short time, I've traveled almost all of the country on the east Coast and one of the things I have found is that although San Antonio is the best when it comes to tacos this place nails the authentic side of what is the real deal. The tortillas they use are home made, fresh tasting corn, and a tad of grease just what you want on a real taco. The cheese they use is light and just plain fresh and served in a perfect way. We LOVE Taco Blvd! We just moved to this area from another part of town and are SO happy to have found this place! We have only ever tried the 6 bistec mini taco meal that comes with a drink (I get horchata) and the special beans. Everything is so flavorful and quite addictive lol. We have only been in our house for maybe 2.5 weeks and have ordered probably 5 times already through uber eats. I have really make sure I workout more now LOL! They have changed the menus which have combos comes with a drink and 6 taquitos I recommend bistec protein and beans you can order them regular or special.. it has cheese, avocado and queso fresco. The beans are full of flavor ! The tacos as well. They come stuffed with plenty of meat. You do have to request it without queso fresco and avocado if you don't want it on there. as I did.. green salsa is delicious! After you place your order and pay at the register you have a seat and wait for your name to be called. You grab drinks and utensils on your own. You are responsible for putting your plates near the trash cans before you leave. The reason why I am giving this place four stars is because they have a bad habit of not cleaning the floor and table after people leave for new people to come in a sit down. I recently visited Taco Blvd with some friends for some late night Taco Tuesday tacos and I was not disappointed! Located in the Stone Oak area, Taco Blvd is a short drive from UTSA's main campus. The restaurant space was a little on the small side, but there is ample seating, so it wasn't an issue. There are other restaurants and shops around, so parking may be a little packed in higher traffic times. Now for the food! I've tried many taco places in my short time in San Antonio, and this was a solid taco experience. I ordered 2 Bistec & 2 Pollo taquitos, which were so good! (Pro tip- here the taquitos are what's generally thought of as tacos, the tacos are actually quesadillas, the machetes are larger than the tacos). The Bistec tacos were flavorful, juicy and the avocado and cheese on top only added to the taco! This was my first time getting Pollo tacos, and these were just as flavorful & juicy and the tomatoes and cheese elevated the taco to a new level. My family just ordered from here through Uber eats for dinner. For myself I ordered the 8" bistec asada taco and the frijoles especials. My taco was completely left out of the order and all I got were my beans while the rest of my family got their food. I would have left 3-4 stars but the food wasn't too good. The beans I ate were just okay and the rest of my family said the same about their meals. Uber eats refunded me the money for my taco but it's really frustrating when the restaurant doesn't double check the meal. Their "aguas frescas" are not really aguas frescas. I tried the Jamaica flavor first-- super watered down. The limón flavor after that-- I could taste the artificial flavoring. I finally settled for the horchata. Finally, the taco part... On my first bite into the taco, I realized that the corn tortilla had been fried in oil. The oil tasted old. Like they had been frying the tortillas in the oil that had been sitting there for a while. The meat tasted funky because of the seasoning that was used. The beans were the only good thing about this place. Eight hours after, I found myself throwing up all of my lunch from this place. So we decided to get food from Taco Blvd (with Uber Eats), and it hit the spot! we had ordered the tacos with flour tortillas, and they called us a bit later to say that they were unfortunately out. We agreed to the substitution of corn tortillas and we were back in business! The tacos arrived warm, as ordered, and were very good! We ordered 3 orders of the Blvd Special (basically 5 little tacos together): one chicken, one barbacoa, one al pastor. They were all delicious, the Al pastor was an special hit. Chips & salsa were $4.25 & had to select just one type of salsa - red, green, or habanero - even though they served it with 3 little plastic containers of salsa. Upon ordering I asked which salsas were spicy & was told red & green weren't. Red is SUPER spicy - I was into it but was misinformed. I had super high hopes for this place and was left disappointed and unsatisfied. $30 for 12 tacos is outrageous I'm going to give it the doubt it's because of the area it's in is why their prices are high. Now presentation was great , fantastic even but the taste was not as good as I was told it was going to be. They don't double layer their taquitos making it very flimsy and easy to fall apart when you take a bite, to me that was my biggest issue with the tacos besides the price. Found a new taco place and had to check it out. First round, we tried the bistec taquitos and the al pastor taquitos. The taquitos are made in tiny yellow corn tortillas. The al pastor was full of flavor but the bistec was quite bland. The chicken flautas were nice and crispy but the chicken had a funny taste IMO. Our second trip, we decided to order the larger tacos. These were flour tortillas, crispy but unfortunately not quite as good as the taquitos that we had on our first trip. It's a new day for food and tacos are not exempt. The cool part about Taco Blvd was the ability to pick the size of your taco. Small, medium or large. The prices were right and no taco order minimum. I was able to try a variety of tacos. The best part for me was that they had Al Pastor tacos. Not everywhere has Al Pastor or even do a good Al Pastor. I thought the Al Pastor was phenomenal. So for lunch today I was in the mood for some #tacotuesday. So me and a buddy decided to give Taco Blvd a try, super stoked that we did! Their Mexican street style tacos were delicious. Between the 2 of us we tried 5 different tacos; bistec, molleja, chicharron, barbacoa, and pollo. All were delicious, would of tried the al pastor but they were out. You can't have tacos without salsa and theirs were equally delicious. I also had a side of their special beans, special beans are charro beans with beef, cheese, and avocado. I washed it all down with a Mexican Coke. The staff were very polite and accommodating when asked questions about the menu. For those interested I did see they added some breakfast tacos to the menu but not sure if they sell them all day. All in all it was a great experience and I look forward to returning with my family and friends.... Tip: Their is a sign on the billboard at the Corner of Blanco and 1604 but not above the establishment yet. Look carefully and you'll find it.
