This is review mainly for their carne asada fries. The carne asada fries are reasonably priced at $7.06 and they give you a good satisfying helping that was were pretty filling. Unique to this place was their use of beans that were a nice interesting texture to the dish. The fries were the Del taco crinkle style which could have been crunchier and their carne asada was a little tough. notes: 1. While not cash only, they add a dollar to your bill if you use credit cards. 2. They have a hidden juke box, so random music might start playing in between soccer games. The pastor was better because it had a sweet hint to it! The red hot sauce is hotter than the green at the condiments section. My boyfriend had 5 tacos, the fish one he got stood out most to me. Little known place in my area but it's open practically all day and night. Great for late/super late dinner. Large menu of pretty authentic Mexican foods; not "Americanized" Mexican food. Goes great with the juke box playing music in Spanish. Dropped points for being pretty untidy. The place has an A from the health inspection but almost all the tables were a mess with spills on the tops and chairs scattered around. I'm taking a night class about a mile away from here, and since it's open all night it was perfect for that after class craving :) I tried a couple different tacos, and if you want all the fixings agree to "con todo" which includes onion, cilantro, and hot sauce on top (don't worry you can add more hot sauce from the bar too): Asada Pastor Carnita Pescado (fried) The only one I don't recommend is their fried fish taco. It wasn't the usual batter you find on fish tacos, but reminded me more of what you would find on those bar food mozzarella sticks. Didn't work for me. Waited for about 20 min for food and the lady placed the order as a carne asada taco plate. ‍ I had confirmed with the cashier that I ordered a carne asada plate not taco plate. She gives attitude saying I have to pay more for the plate than. That's totally fine. But no apologies or mention of anything that she got my order wrong. Waited another 15 min for the correct food. Tried to get some plastic bags & containers to get the jalapeños, radishes and sauces. Lady didn't want to give me a bag and they didn't refill the items that were running out. The Service from ALL Female Cashiers is RUDE and Unprofessional. I have been a customer for 25 years and love the authentic food however the service is getting worse and worse, the prices have skyrocked but understandable! in addition you have to PAY an extra $1:00 or more to pay with a debit or credit card for any purchase on top of the increased prices! The cashiers also charge me $.50 for more than 2 salsas(racial discrimination) but will give as many to any other customers that look like them as many as they want. I asked other customers if they pay extra and they replied No and I also witnessed on many occasions. I have visited during the week days and weekends. UGH. I've been here a couple times and have had good and bad experiences, so I guess I have to give it a middle 3 rating. The first time, we came here was in the middle of the day. Ok. So a few points as to why they only received 3 stars from me. I ordered carne asada fries with everything on top and 2 soft shell carne asada tacos. So I gave the tacos to my aunt, but as far as the fries....the meat was really bland and under seasoned, the toppings were beans, onions, cilantro and cheese. The bottom of the fries were kind of soupy but I don't know why. There wasn't really a lot of cheese on it but I opted to not ask for more so that I could really taste the food underneath it. They have a salsa bar, TV with soccer games, a juke box and a lot of beer drinkers. I have been here twice and both times the lines are long and we had to wait for a table. I only come here for the tripas and the jamaica. The tripas are fried just how I like them. The jamaica tastes home made. I tried something different and ordered a wet burrito with carnitas. Comes with either red or green chili. This is an all meat burrito for all of you carnivores out there. Carnitas havee a good flavor, but a little dry for my taste. So I want to really like this place because I went all the way to Carson for it, but I don't know. I was hungry, and it didn't really hit the spot. The tacos were okay. The beans had no real flavor. I got extra guacamole on the side (75 cents extra) and it wasn't fresh guacamole but watered down, green soup guacamole that I could only pour on my almost flavorless rice. So... California is known for their apparently authentic Mexican food. Although, the recent crave has been eating tacos from a taco truck, this place might just suffice. First off, the location is not the greatest. The store and the neighborhood is run-down; however, theres is a decent parking and it's not too hard to find. Taco Sinaloa is brightly lit with windows surrounding the whole store. A very very casual place to eat and hangout for an authentic Mexican food experience. Great for families but even more appropriate for friends, and fun/spontaneous dates for couples. Hygiene wise, the place could probably do better but I'm not complaining about that because the food makes up for it. I'm pretty standard with the soft shell tacos that go for $1.35 each with different options for the type of meat and can eat about 4-7 for a full meal. The tacos come on a styrofoam plate with onions, cilantro, and some spicy red sauce. They also have a little condiment stand on the side of the cash register where you can serve yourself to a spicy red and green sauce, sliced radishes, and lime wedges (a must to sprinkle on your tacos). Besides being popular for their soft shell tacos, they are also known for their Horchata *I'm addicted* (almond/rice milk drink sweetened with cinnamon- a little under $2 for a large and 99 cents for a refill) and amazing Carne Asada Fries (about $6-7, fries that come with beans, cheese, guac, and pico de gallo). And of course there are a lot of other things on their menu that I have yet to try. The BEST part is that they are open 24/7. It's hard enough to find anything that's open 24/7 around the area and the fact that they are is what makes Taco Sinaloa twice as awesome even though it can get packed during later hours. This place is great. Their Carne Asada burrito is much better than the Alberto's chain. I get it every time I go there. It has a good amount of spicy kick to it, and their salsa is spicier than that of said competitor(so to speak)-type restaurant. My cousin (who has lived all over the country, including New York, Texas and Colorado) just moved to Redondo Beach for a job after studying in Scotland for five years. So I flew down last month to pay him a long-overdue visit and make sure he was settling into California alright. My first night in town, we drove by a taco truck and he made a joke about getting tacos. I looked at him and asked, "In all seriousness, have you ever been to a taco truck?" He hadn't. I assured him that once you found the good truck (and this was a task all it's own, because not only does it have to have food that doesn't go straight through you, but it's got to be good, and then there is the task of knowing where and when to find it) you were golden. So I decided on my last night in town to treat him to some authentic Mexican food (because even though he lived in Texas, his idea of authentic is Wahoo's Fish Tacos). He worked late, and by the time he arrived home, most places would have been closed. But not Taco Sinaloa. When I read that this location is open TWENTY-FOUR hours, I about died. But then when we arrived, and saw the stuffed animal claw machine and the jukebox and bright lights, and heard the music blaring, it took everything to a whole new level. What a sensory experience of the most bizarre kind! My burrito was EH (I admit it's hard to pull off a vegan burrito and make it delicious) but my cousin dove right into his carne asada burrito and two tacos, and devoured them faster than I could believe. And he loved it. So why the three stars, and not a solid four? The major downfall of this place (in spite of all the awesome it has going for it) is the customer service. It's awful. We were the only people waiting to order and it took the three employees in front a good five minutes to even acknowledge us. And we weren't standing back, looking at the menu and still deciding. We were right at the counter, staring at the guy at the register, who totally ignored us. Bad form. But to their credit, the folks here double-checked my order and my burrito had just what I asked for, in addition to NO MEAT, NO SOUR CREAM and NO CHEESE. Solid taco place in the South Bay. Al Pastor and Asada were spot on. Good pork and beef flavors with hint of heat. My favorite was the cabeza (beef cheek). Tender with nice hints of smokiness. The default cilantro, onion, and salsa toppings were fresh. The salsa bar had the expected selections of marinated carrot, raw radish, and fresh salsas. Ended up here by accident when the Cuban restaurant across the street was closed for renovations. Interior looks like a fast food restaurant with the counter, register and kitchen behind and tables and booths. The menu is very authentic serving traditional dishes people probably had their mom cook. Had a couple of tacos and rice which tasted really fresh. And the salsa verdes was the bomb! She said that she can never get good inexpensive Mexican food in the city, so this place is on her list when she's in town.
