This is my go to Mexican spot, I usually only go weekday mornings and it's never really packed at that time. The food is authentic & the flavor is on point. My usual order is either the chicken enchiladas or the chorizo nachos but I have tried pretty much everything on the menu besides the seafood portion. Although i have friends who ordered seafood and they say it's good. The price is fair and they serve beer. The person taking your order can be kind of grumpy sometimes but whatever, after they get to know you it's all good. The food is delicious and I don't think there is any betted Mexican joint in the city. The price is fair. Not too expensive, not too cheap. The staff is interesting. Its a ragtag team of individuals who arent rude but arent too concerned about catering to the customer. They know their food is good and that they made a name for themselves in the area. Parking is not ideal but not bad. Can hold up to about 12-15 cars. Its beat up and run down and the location may seem sketchy but its open 24/7 which means you can come anytime to get your Mexican food fix. I been a longtime customer and I'm proud to be a fan. The food is amazing for the quality, however the customer service that I received during the lunch hour was appalling. An older Hispanic woman was the cashier. I assume she is the manager, because the others treated her as such. As she finished with the customer in front of us, we moved up to the counter and she just stared at me. I was waiting for her to say "hi," at least! She didn't. I looked dead in her face and said, "hi" and kind of nodded my head as if to "teach her" that this is how you greet customers. She spoke back and then I proceeded to order. I had about 4 different orders, because I was grabbing tacos for some of my coworkers, too. We got all that done and then I see the guy start to prepare the soft tacos that I had ordered. I noticed that they were smaller than they were the other night when we came, so I told the cashier that the ones I had were bigger. She said that that was the size. So I asked her which tacos were bigger and she said that they don't have any bigger tacos. I looked at my partner who came with me as if to say that I know I'm not crazy. Thank goodness I take pictures of my food, because I took a picture of the taco plate that I had a couple days before and I showed it to her. She just stared at it, but the cook, who was right next to her leaned over and looked and said, "Oh yes, that's the hard shell taco plate." Again, she just looked at me with a blank stare. The service we received today was nothing like the service we received a couple nights before. So we decided to make sure that when we go back, we will be going at night, otherwise I will find another taco place to go to. I think that the fact that they are 24 hours and that the food is good is what keeps people coming back, as the lines are really long when you go in past 9pm and even later. There are people from all walks of life in there, from the really drunk "just left the bar" type of person to young teenagers to families. It's really old in there and they could definitely use some renovations...the floor...well, let's just say that I hate to look at it, let alone walk on it. The booths are clean on the surface, but grab a microscope! The seating is all old and you just want to think twice before sliding in there... Lastly, they are super STINGY with the salsa bar! They count out how many itty bitty cups to give you...it's no bigger than maybe 3-4 tablespoons worth! OPEN 24 HRS!! They Serve Beer Here! A few people recommended me to check out this place but I'm rarely in the mood for Mexican food. After running some errands, I was hungry and decided to drop in. Boy, big mistake to eat around noon! There was a long line of people waiting to place their order. I ordered my usual: carne asada taco and al pastor sopes. I also ordered a fish taco because it looked good as I was flipping through the pictures on my yelp app. Five stars for Da Bomb Fish Taco! Yummy to my tummy, oh yea! Fish was battered, hot, crispy on the outside and flaked off smoothly with each bite. Three stars for the Carne Asada Taco. (salty and not as tasty as King Taco). Three point seven five stars for the Carne Asada Fries w/my extra additives. One star for the Al Pastor Sopes. (maybe I shouldn't have ordered the works as the guacamole was overpowering and salty...my fav's still King Taco) I'm guessing they're probably more known for their seafood so I'm definitely coming back to try their ceviche or other seafood dishes. This is definitely my new spot for Fish Tacos!! I believe the best time to come here to avoid the crazy line is in between lunch and dinner or around 9pm, after most people's eaten. This place is OPEN 24/7. Came here this past Friday night around midnight and noticed there's a security guy standing outside the door. I guess it can get routy here around 1-3AM when all the clubbers gets out! They have a wide variety of selections. They even serve cow tongue?!? Parking was super easy in their lot, and the casual atmosphere put me in the mood for my fave: lengua and cabeza. I looked at the menu and they had both - woohoo! Hurray for hole-in-the-walls where two Asian girls can walk in on a Friday night and stuff our faces with real Mexican food before heading to the movies. There was crazy loud music playing and Univision on the television, the menu was backlit with bright florescent lighting and most of the menu was under $5. So happy. Ordered 2 hard shell carne asada tacos, 1 breaded fish soft taco and 1 regular sized jamaica for $6.43. Awesome. Food came out in about 3 minutes, and 1 minute later I was stuffed and wondering if I should get a quesadilla. I passed and scarfed down half of JI's Ore Ida-like fries instead, which were surprisingly good. I was told the red sauce is spicy-poo-resulting-hot, so I asked them to leave that out. I tried the help-yourself green sauce, but even just dipping the prongs of my fork in it was too much for me. Wimp, I know. But I'm a purist anyway and my tacos were fabulous. I am obsessed with the Beef cheek tacos (taco de cabeza). The meat is super tender and flavorful. Add that to the chopped onions, cilantro, and salsa verde = SOOO great Want something a little heavier? Try their Asada fries...or get fries with whatever meat you'd like. They load up the platter with a ton of fries, meat, guac, cheese, pico de gallo, etc. This might actually make your heart stop, but it is such a wonderful dish after a long night of fun :) Their horchata is fantastic.Lots of flavor and very refreshing. The flan is really tasty as well. It's not too sweet but really rich and creamy. Excellent dessert. They often run out, so snag one if they have them on hand!! My only complaints: 1. Al pastor and cabeza are the standouts and even though the carne asada is good, the last few times I've had it, it was really dry, so I stopped getting it. Too slow. Ordered 4 carne asada tacos and a medium horchata. Took me 25 minutes to get my order with only 2 customers ahead of me. My friends who are locals to Torrance rave about Taco Sinaloa #3. I feel like the food here is pretty good, very similar to a good taco truck. Great thing about this place is that they do accept credit cards! Salsas are great and some of them really add a lot of heat to the tacos. My bf and I tried the carne asada taco, al pastor taco and tostada. The meat was okay... not great, not bad. There were barely any onions on it and there weren't any in the sidebar area with the sauces. We also got a few orders of chips and guac to share (chips were good, the guac not so much - I'd skip it and just get salsa or an extra taco). There is a nice bar of toppings and hot sauce on every table. The service was fast and everyone was very nice. Plenty of places to sit and it was not too busy though we did come on the later-side for the lunch crowd. Easy parking on the street out front.
