Asada, Pastor and Pollo tacos with grilled onions and beans thrown in for free. Superb! They also use homemade flour tortillas.

Best street al pastor taco contest. Geography: Hollywood. LaBrea - Hollywood / Franklin - Western - Santa Monica Contestant #4. This taco stand is on Santa Monica at Highland behind the gas station. It was my first late night street al pastor experience in LA 3 years ago and it had been great.. while it lasted. Time passed and as I was unveiling other options, I felt less inclined to come back here. They evolved to cater to the masses and accept all kinds of fancy one tap phone payments, they have 4 tables and they give you free beans and roasted onions and jalapeño (yum!) but.. But. But. But. The al pastor is just basic. There's no juice, no crisp, no nothing to it and it gets consistently served from the heated container vs grilled and cut to order straight from the rotisserie grill. You can park in the art gallery parking lot or drive a 50 feet more and find a spot at the public storage parking lot which is always empty. $2.75 for a taco al pastor Oct, 2024

Authentic Mexican food, super good carne asada burrito and nachos . Will be back. So much food for the price

This review is for the food truck (should be the same biz) parked outside of Ralph's on la brea. Tasty tacos. I got the Al pastor, lengua, and tripas. 3 tacos to hold me over after the gym. Kind of cool the tortillas are hand made--I watched her smush it through the window to make sure I get the fresh ones. Out of the three I thought they were decent. Tripas was my least favorite...personally I like mine to have a bit of crunch but I felt like it was soggy. The other two were decent. They load them up with onions and cilantro, and give you some sauce on the side. They take card, but will charge you tax nbd. Normal stuff here.

THE QUESADILLAS HERE ARE TO DIE FOR!! Request con todo to have cilantro, onion AND avocado in your quesadilla!!

These are LA street tacos at it's finest! The tacos here are straight FIRE. The carne asada and pollo truly are the superstars here. The tacos are loaded with meat and wrapped in homemade corn tortillas. The handmade tortillas were totally unexpected given these were street tacos and were a nice touch. Each taco is $2, which is a steal considering how filling these were with the thicker handmade tortilla. We kinda went ham and ordered a ton of tacos and a torta. The people running the stand were so nice and even took the time to walk us through the menu. Our food came out so quickly and was ready before we could get all our salsas packed up! (Just a fair warning, the red salsa here is very spicy!) I really appreciated that they take card and Apple Pay here. We walked but they seemed to be okay with having 2-3 cars parked next to their tent.

First time trying this taco truck (the La Brea location by Ralphs), and although I was a bit skeptical, I wasn't disappointed. The service was speedy. I tried the Asada torta, the al pastor tacos, and the pineapple aguas frescas. Honestly, I enjoyed all three! They also have sauces available. My only complaint was that the al pastor tacos had no pineapple on them, and the bread used for the torta got soggy very quickly. I'd definitely come back.

The best. The absolute best. Never had bomb tacos like these! Every taco spot I hit up is coo but nothing to go out of your way for. nah this gem ima let you know you don't wanna sleep on em. The chicken is FIRE, flavorful and juicy. Asada BOMB, Al pastor BOMB. Salsas bomb. HOMEMADE TORTILLAS. I drive an hour to LA when I need to cure my taco cravings. BUT be sure to check the days and times they're open cause it's special hours! Once you've hit that public storage parking lot you've arrived. Salsa, onion, cilantro, limes all self serve off to the side.

I ordered the carne asada tacos and the brisket tacos and both were soooo delicious! They have a self serve toppings and salsa bar, so you can customize your tacos to what you liked. I'm a big fan of spicy foods and my tolerance to spice is pretty high, but the red salsa has a kick to it--so be warned. This spot is super casual but has a very large setup. Service here is very efficient and they are open 24/7 so there's no limit as to when you can get your taco fix. There's plenty of parking which gets extra points in my book, especially because that's typically hard to find in the area. There aren't any tables to eat at, but a lot of people ate standing or by their parked cars. If I could give this spot more than 5-stars I would. If you come here, trust me, you won't be disappointed.

When ordering, you'll go up and order your items I always get tacos, but I've heard the other items are delicious as well. You get one free potato per person and I highly recommend grabbing one. Once you grab your potato, you'll head over to the cashier while you'll pay for your items. If you want any drinks, you can order it as well. Once you're finished paying, they have a salsa bar with onions and cilantro and limes. My usual is their Al pastor tacos! It's a tried and true method for me. Note that there isn't any seating, most people stand up and eat or head back to their car and eat on their trunks or inside their car. There's trash cans all around and I believe there are some porta potties. It's a great spot to hit up if you're hungry and need some tacos in your life. Make sure you clean up after yourself. This is a great spot!

I came here for dinner on a week night and my experience here was pretty good. I had the asada and al pastor tacos with all the toppings and they were both so good and full of meat and heat. The toppings can be spicy for some, so be warned. My favorite of the two was the all pastor which was flavorful and I did like the thinly shaved meat. It was not dry at all and was fresh. I also tried the mulita with al pastor meat and that was also soso good. Cheesy, meaty, and indulgent. The additional topping section had good variety with pickled onions, cucumbers, etc. and everything seemed pretty fresh. Unfortunately, they were pretty much out of the roasted pepper and grilled onions at the time I went. To drink, I had the horchata and that was also very delicious. It was huge, sweet, and creamy. I also loved how it was not grainy at all. A good pairing with the rich foods. They also have a good amount of seating at the stand with a long table and multiple chairs.
