I stopped by on a Friday afternoon and waited about 20 minutes for a table. The wait was well worth it because each dish offered an explosion of flavors. My favorite dish was the birria, with the salmon ceviche as a close second. The mole was great too, but I'd say the other two dishes were more memorable and something I'd return for. I can't recommend the birria enough, as the flavors were reminiscent of what I've had in Mexico, very authentic. The space is small and can feel a bit tight, but sometimes the best food comes from these types of "hole in the wall" places. Ultimately, I'd say give Lola's a try! Their conchas are always fresh and consistently well made. I love how balanced the flavor is--not too sweet, with just the right hint of cinnamon that never overpowers the bread. Soft, fluffy, and perfect with a cup of coffee. The parking lot can be a little sketchy , but don't let that stop you. If you're in the South Bay, this place is definitely worth checking out.
