I'm here for their 2 taco special. With the rice and beans and their green sauce, this is where it's at! For a little over $10, you can't go wrong with this local gem. They also do catering!

This is a gem of a restaurant located near the heart of Vallejo. This place has a wide selection of menu and drink options at a more than reasonable price, and the food tastes fresh and authentic. The inside has a lot of personality, and the restaurant is very clean and organized. Whenever I eat here, I usually like to get the enchilada combo plate and tacos. The type of meat varies, but I typically like to get carnitas, asada, or pollo. The enchiladas are delicious and I love how they're drenched in sauce. The sides always hit the spot as well--I'm a sucker for Mexican rice and this places cooks it perfectly. I can't believe I only heard about this place recently despite this business being here for a long time. This is definitely a staple in my book now!

What else can be said about the legendary Jalisco that hasn't already been said? If you want the best Mexican food experience, look no further than than this long time gem in downtown Valllejo! I have 8 mexican restaurants in the town I live in, yet I make the extra drive out here every time for their famous Jalisco burrito! It's basically a super burrito "wet" and its huge...you may even have to take home leftovers! They give you a free basket of homemade, crispy, thin chips and their signature homemade red and green sauces. The manager is very friendly and welcoming, and keeps the place running smoothly. You will feel right at home here...the ambiance is great, the place is clean and there is awesome paintings on the walls and even the tables and all the workers are nice. Enjoy!

What a vibrant spot with good eats! Great portions at reasonable prices, plus the fun interior design gives the place overall fun vibes. Would recommend!

Where's the meat in my super steak burrito? It's more like super dry/no meat burrito

We ordered a super steak burrito and there was barely any meat. The burrito was really dry as it was mostly rice and beans. The burrito truck is 100% better.

Tastes like home! Grew up on Tacos Jalisco! I normally get the steak and chicharron but went with shrimp and chicharron this time. They consistently make great food. The super burrito is so super, it should come with a cape and avoid kryptonite. The chicken in the chicken taco salad was perfectly cooked and abundant. Five Stars! They keep improving and updating the inside too. New tables, paint, decorations, signage and the same classic taste. Support a local staple, you won't be disappointed.

Friendly staff at this restaurant. We stopped in on our way from Sacramento to Sonoma for lunch on a weekday. You order at the counter and they will give you your own basket of tortillas chips. You find your own table. They will bring your food out to you and their food comes out fast. It gets a little busy at lunch time but the line went fast. Prices were affordable. I ordered the chicken taquitos and they were kind of plain.

Vallejos most overrated tacos. I've never had a bad experience or service here, but I'll just be honest, it's nothing life changing.

When I received my food I realized that it was not the correct order and immediately called the restaurant to see if there is a way that maybe my order hadn't gotten picked up and I could go ahead and just drive down and pick it up myself since I knew they were closing soon and may not accept another online order. The very kind gentleman who answered the phone explained that the delivery driver had picked up my food and something must've happened before it got delivered to me but that my food was no longer at the restaurant. I asked if it would be possible for them to remake the order and I come down to the restaurant and pay the restaurant directly and then deal with canceling the order through the food delivery app afterwards. He mentioned they were a little busy and were close to closing but would get it ready as quickly as they could - even repeating what had previously ordered to ensure I got the correct food. We rushed down to make it before they closed. Not only was the food ready within the 10 minutes it took us to get from our house to the restaurant but they were so kind and helpful and even offered us a discount on our order for the inconvenience of us having having to drive down. We happily collected our food and drove home and soon received a call from the restaurant letting me know that I had left my debit card there and they would have it for me to pick up the next morning when they opened at 10. And the food? Amazing. 10/10. Also - they were PACKED on a Monday night right before closing. We will be returning. Sorry, no pics - we were hungry

My favorite was their chicken tinga, which reminded me of the chicken burritos I used to get back in my hometown across the bridge. I immediately told myself I'd have to come back and order a chicken tinga burrito. A few weeks later, I finally returned on a Sunday while they were serving their World Cup Sunday brunch. I ordered a chicken tinga super burrito and a California burrito to take home. I was really excited to dig in, but when I opened the bag, the "super" burrito looked more like a regular burrito. The flavors were still great, but the filling was disappointing. There was barely any chicken or sour cream, and I had to eat more than halfway through before I finally got a decent balance of meat, rice, and beans. I even had to add my own sour cream because there was so little inside. As for the California burrito, it was just okay. The fries were stale, and there wasn't enough sour cream or guacamole, which made the burrito pretty dry. It honestly reminded me more of a breakfast burrito than a California burrito, and I wasn't a fan. Overall, the flavors are definitely there, and it's clear the food has potential. However, the portions felt skimpy for the price, making the burritos feel overpriced. I'll give Sol y Sazon another chance because I know they're capable of making delicious food, but if my next experience is like this one, they'll likely lose me as a customer.

The line was considerably long around 7:30 p.m. so it took a while for us to order and receive our food. I like that the tacos here are single tortilla -- as opposed to double tortillas, so the filling to tortilla ratio feels a lot more balanced. For both tacos, the meat is incredibly tender and flavorful. Although a bunch of sauces and garnishes are provided, the taco was good enough on its own. Of the sauces we received, my favorites to add was a squeeze of lime and the red sauce, which had a nice smokey Chipotle flavor and wasn't overly spicy. My friend ordered a quesadilla and it was absolutely massive! I definitely would only recommending ordering a quesadilla if you're sharing it, or if you're coming with a massive appetite. Overall, Tacos El Sazón Oaxaqueño was a nice gem we randomly stumbled upon while routing to In-N-Out for burgers.
