This is my first time in the restaurant; my husband recommended it because his chiropractor is next door. We enjoy supporting small, local businesses and stopped in after watching a movie. The one thing I especially like on their menu is that they offer lengua. In spite of that I decided to try two fish tacos. They were excellent because they weren't spicy, plus just the right amount to eat. My husband had the steak Quesadilla with sour cream and guacamole. Very clean inside, we were greeted right when we walking in. I'm not sure who took my order but he was an older gentleman, very nice and accommodating. I ordered a super burrito with carbs asada and two lengua tacos. The LENGUA OH MY. Tender, fatty, perfectly cooked. I really like their tortillas! My friend and I came here to grab dinner. Seems like quite the popular spot for take out but also has a good seating capacity inside. I ordered some tacos of course and a shrimp ceviche tostada. The lengua (tongue) was great, the Al pastor could have had a little more pineapple flavor but the asada was solid as well. They give you enough chips to be happy as well as a salsa verde (green) and second option salsa. Nice drink selection as well as you can get both non alcoholic and alcohol drinks too! I was visiting Discovery Kingdom and i crave for some good tacos around the Vallejo area. This is my first time visiting Vallejo, so I don't know much about a good taco spot. However, I stumbled across this place on Yelp and decided to give it a shot. And oh man! This joint really satisfy my craving. I was interested to try the tacos supreme because it has cheese on it. So I ordered a bunch of tacos supreme with Al Pastor, Tripas, and Carne asada. All of the tacos were flavorful. The tripas and the al pastor were particularly the star of the show. My new happy place. We went back for takeout on Wednesday. I had the Camarones a La Diabla , my 2 youngest ordered the quesabirra 3 packs and hubby steak fries. I got an order of grilled Serrano, quac, and both salsas to accompany my, I mean, our meals. I really wanted the salsa and guacamole to myself. Again, no disappointment with me or complaints. Vallejo has many options for Mexican food. Of the ones I've tried this is my favorite so far. The food is delicious. My personal favorite is the shrimp super burrito. The portions are pretty generous. The service was order at the counter and they'll deliver it to your table later. Pre-Covid it was pretty good for groups. But if you're still concerned and prefer outdoor seating Tacos Jalisco is limited in that. Had a very good experience ordering to go for a large group! Everyone's order was heated labeled with their name. Orders come with complimentary chips. Everyone seems to rave about the green sauce. I really like it too! Not too spicy. Stopped here on my way to SFO from Sacramento. I occasionally work in Vallejo and have had my eye on this place for a while. Inside is a spacious, clean, art filled taqueria. I didn't plan to call my food ahead of time since I had a few questions regarding their menu. Inside it's covid procedure is enforced. I asked if their rice is made with any meat broth of any kind and it's 100% vegan. Ordered four carne asada tacos, a vegan burrito with black beans and no rice and guacamole. I am combining more than one visit, the last visit I was slightly dissatisfied because the ladies at the counter did not act with urgency to take my order and I did have to wait a bit at the counter when there was not a clear reason for the delay. However, this is not typical. My order got to me father than it took to actually order and it was so good. The taco shell was crispy, good amount of beef, rice, beans, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. They give two Salsas one green (bright and spicy) and one red (a deeper spiced flavor - possibly arbol), as well as some well seasoned,crispy chips. I've eaten here a couple of years ago and grabbed some Tacos to go. Can't miss this place as the bright yellow paint stands out among the other drab-looking buildings around the vicinity. The vibrant colors draws your eyes in and can't help but stare at it. I've kinda forgotten about the place, until we were shopping at Seafood City in Vallejo over the weekend. As Wifey was waiting for a Mother's Day cake she ordered, I was scrolling on the app for something to eat and I was in the mood for some Mexican as we didn't get to celebrate Cinco de Mayo this year. When this place popped up, I had fond recollection of the place. I called to verify if they were open and we immediately drove here once we received confirmation. First thing I noticed upon entering were the modified safety features put in place. There's signs everywhere regarding social distancing, markers on the floors and a plexiglass placed by the registers. I've heard a lot about their famous Jalisco Burrito ($9.75), which is a wet burrito covered in enchilada sauce and melted cheese. It contains rice, beans, onions, cilantro, sour cream, cheese and I chose Lengua for the meat. Wifey got three tacos: Lengua ($3.15), Tripas ($3.15) and Carne Asada ($2.15). Their tacos are on soft corn tortillas with onions and cilantro. Initially, these were all we were gonna order, but the owner convinced us to get the Mango Shrimp Ceviche ($11.99). Since he was very kind and engaging, we trusted him and went with his suggestion. As soon as we received order, we drove back to the Seafood City parking lot and began grubbing on 'em. We chowed down the ceviche first and it had a nice kick to it. I got some extra hot sauce for added oomph, and it was a refreshing starter. I have to admit that eating a wet burrito inside a car is not the easiest thing, and almost regretted ordering it under the circumstances. However, once I bit into it, the wonderful sauce covering the burrito mixed in made me forget that thought. Besides, I managed to figure out how to eat it without making a mess. The Tacos were solid as usual, and the Tripas stood out as the best among the three. Our one complaint was that the Carne Asada was a tad too salty. It'd been nice if we had a lime to cut the saltiness. However, all in all, we enjoyed their dishes and would return if we were in the area again. It'd be nice to dine here under normal conditions, but that is something beyond our control in the time being. read more

I love Mexican food. As a Californian, my standards for great spots has grown over the years. The authentic feel, the great prices, friendly and phenomenal service, all stick out to me. I also like that they offer seafood, great authentic drinks, alcohol, the works. They are the exception, not the norm. Calling in for a pickup order is easy. My Spanish is solid enough, so I try and order in Spanish. Regardless my mistakes, I get patient answers, English or Spanish. What differentiates Tacos Jalisco is how much I feel like family/so welcomed when I pick up food. They are generous with salsas, the pickled vegetables, their delicious food, and their authentic kindness. This restaurant is a step above and a diamond in the rough in Vallejo. The icing on the cake is how quickly your food is prepared. My only regret is not yet having a happy hour for me and my colleagues here. (Yet!) I simply believe excellence deserves credit. This location exceeds standards in every category and benchmark and I think anyone interested in delicious Mexican food deserves to give Tacos Jalisco a shot. read more

Kind, courteous and a pleasure. There is a man who picks up the phone and his personality simply isn't fit for Customer service. He is rude af! You ask a simple question and he says, "you know where we are right?" " do you know who you called?" His tone, his disposition is just not for interfacing with customers. In so much that I will not return and I plan to post about them on my page with many many followers. Why? Not to destroy the company, but to make them aware. Everyone deserves good service. We work hard for our dollar and especially during these times, it is hard to even have enough for survival. If we are patronizing your establishment, be kind. So what if we ask for grilled chicken and you only have Shredded....why be an asshole? Simply say, "I apologize we don't have that. If you have access to the website, a complete listing of our meats can be found on the menu" or whatever. Not, "maam look at the number you dialed, do you know who you called?" Man....businesses still have not learned. The majority will return to a business because of the service received. However, you goods or products can be wonderful, if service isn't, we will never return. Im not sure why I haven't reviewed them before, after all they have been my "go to restaurant when I want Mexican food" ( and Im Mexican) I mean I was a regular way before I had any kids ( my oldest is an adult now). They are one if not the most consistent restaurant I frequent, great service, great flavor, portions, variety, cleanliness, etc. So if you are in the area and want some real fresh, real Mexican food, pay them a visit.
