The staff at this restaurant are incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is always fresh and seasoned perfectly. I'm a huge fan of salsa verde, and have no shame in admitting I'm pretty much addicted to their house "green sauce". I've made special trips to specifically buy pints of it to have at home. Their street tacos are BOMB - I've tried all the meat options they have and haven't met one I didn't enjoy, however their chicken, carnitas, and carne asada are SUPERB. I went in today after 10yrs. I brought my best friend who just moved to the area. He missed his local Mexican restaurant (he raves about that place!) So we go in and the ambiance was so beautiful! The are on the wall and the tables. Also the counter where you order. I ordered a quesadilla (same thing I used to always get) and it was even better than I remembered. Been coming to this spot fro a very long time and just wanted to give them a shout out especially during the pandemic. They have removed all tables inside and put down stickers to enforce social distancing and also the shields by register. They are only doing take out and delivery and do require anyone who enters to wear a mask and the workers are wearing masks and gloves as well. There is also hand sanitizer provided. I appreciate the effort they maintain to keep us and themselves safe in addition to providing great food. Hubby and I are back for a second day in a row for the veggie burritos! Who knew they would be that good even without cheese and sour cream. They have all sorts of food which are very good. Come by and support them when you can. read more

Came to Tacos Jalisco on a Friday night after craving some shrimp fries from my usual spot and finding out their fryer was out of commission. So happy I found this place! The restaurant was pretty busy when I arrived (a busy restaurant on a Friday night is a great sign). I called and placed my order a head of time so I just needed to pay and pick up my food once I got there. The restaurant was clean and they had signs posted about wearing your mask and keeping your distance (which everyone was adhering to). The staff was very friendly, fast attentive and helpful. (I observed staff making conversation with customers and calling them by name--the fact that they have repeat customers is a great sign). They also allow ApplePay and the cashier politely reminded me to pull my mask up when I started to use my face to pay (they're on top of it). I ordered steak fries with Monterey Jack cheese (shredded cheese as opposed to pour cheese) with no tomatoes and substituted the steak for shrimp (I'm pescatarian at the moment). When asked which salsa I wanted I told the hostess/cashier I wanted whichever was spicier at which time she offered me some jalapeños on the side (a nice amount which I appreciated so much! Many restaurants are stingy with the peppers and I love ALL THE SPICE). My food tasted great! It was still warm when I got home. I also appreciated the salsa and chips they provided in the bag. I will definitely be going back they make quality food and have fantastic service (even in busy times)! Update: I went back and ordered a super shrimp burrito w black beans, no rice, extra cheese, jalapeños inside & on the side w guacamole. So many positive things to mention ! Firstly the food is amazing. I love the burritos, their green salsa is the best around town and I love have they ask what kind of beans you prefer on every order. I've been coming here for years, the customer service is 10 out of 10. They answer the phones quickly, take a phone order with no snags and I've NEVER had an issue with any of my customized orders being incorrectly made! I've been to this Mexican spot in Vallejo a few times and each time has never disappointed. The inside is clean, organized with a traditional mixed with a modern look. They have three tables that can fit a party of 8 and a bunch of other tables that can sit four. I ordered the Jalisco nachos with carne asada and everything on it. The nachos had hella jalapeños in it but everything else was generously portioned. The chips were crunchy and there was enough nacho cheese/sour cream for each bite. The carne asada was pretty bland to me but they do give a good amount. I'd recommend another meat option if you're going to order nachos. They do give out a side of chips for every order which was nice. Prices for everything is fair and affordable and the menu is well categorized. The staff is always super friendly and the wait for food is always less than 10 minutes. Parking looks a little sketchy so make sure you hide ya thiiings and lock ya doors! I'm going to make this quick. This is my first review since the pandemic and sadly it's not great... here's why: This is a spot I frequent when passing through the BayArea. As far as I WAS concerned, past tense, they were reliable when it came to serving quality Mexican food that is flavorful and up my standards. That all changed about a week ago. First, they went up on their burrito prices by $.75 and they charge $.25 for each sauce. The sauces are pretty small but I'm willing to pay for quality food. No biggie. I noticed in my last visit that patrons that dine in are provided large bottles of red and green sauce for no charge and customers such as myself are charged for small to go sauces? I didn't mine. I'd already bought $1 in sauces and was fine with it. So, let's cut to the 2 stars. There was no meat in the burritos. My family and I spent collectively $60 on our meal and once we began to eat we realized it was a burrito full of rice; hardly any sour cream or avocado that I paid $2 for. My sister literally opened her burrito and there was LESS THAN A TABLESPOON of meat. For $9.50 that is completely unacceptable. Sad to say I lost my reliable taco spot that I featured on my YouTube page (alleyesonKeia). I feel bad for any friend of mine that may have visited because I recommended. In short, I won't be back.
