The meat was good. The fries were okay. The cheese was out of a can or jar, and the guacamole had no flavor. It tastes like they water everything down. The sour cream was runny, the guacamole was runny, the green salsa was watered down and tasted like dill pickles. The red salsa was watered down and tasted like a V-8 juice. Over all, I give it a 5 1/2 out of 10. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop there but if I were passing by, I might or might not. read more

(Roscoe and Tampa location) I'm going to do my best to make this short. My server was working her butt off, non stop moving, their system of ordering and paying out is completely horrible. My friends ordered their food 15 min before us and some how we received our food first. Mind you, the serve is taking the order on a cheep tablet, so we know she didn't forget their order, something must have went wrong with the system. Anyways once the owner came in and started to check on all his customers (First Star) I gave him my card to payout and told him my daughter is still hungry but its taking way to long to just get a taco I need to go home to feed her. After I told him, As a server myself with knowledge of great customer service I really started to pay attention to the employees. I started watching one lady who kept interrupting my server while she was helping us payout on the tablet (which took 20 min.) This lady was being VERY rude to my server yelling at her, instructing her to help one of her tables. (Ummm lady don't you see her trying to pay us out?!?!) I soon found out she was the owners pregnant wifey. After I tried to explain to the guy its not my server who's doing a bad Job it's the system. He started to pour out excuses telling us how he almost fired our server yesterday (info a customer does NOT need to know), blah blah blah, how his wife is prego and she shouldn't even be working (I honestly don't care if virgin Mary was Prego and working, what was I suppose to feel bad that she's working while prego? If a doctor told her she shouldn't be working or something like that then it's their own fault she's their working!). The FACT and not excuses was HIS SYSTEM IS HORRIBLE!!!!!!!! I really hope that server leaves TocosWay! They have okay food (Second Star), but the way they treated their employees is the reason why I'd NEVER return. read more

I usually come to this place but was in disbelief when I decided to pay attention to how I was being charged. I recognized a discrepancy on my receipt, the total not adding up to what their menu suggested. When I brought it up to the cashier, she said it was because of tax. I showed her the receipt and pointed to the price difference of the menu items on the receipt compared to their menu. I told her that that it was not tax related, as taxes were displayed on the receipt already. She then says they changed prices. If so, why would they not be reflected on the menu. I believe this restaurant targets customers based on bias and intentionally overcharges them with an assumption that it wouldn't be caught if a receipt was not asked for. I have a great distaste for this type of business and will not be coming her again. I will also be reporting this interaction to the Better Business Beaureu! read more

What can I say....except 2 days in a row I ordered al pastor tacoway. Delicious! Its like a crunchy fried tortilla sandwich with all the good stuff like meat cheese onion cilantro guacamole dipped in their bomb ass red salsa. There seems like a bunch of stuff I would wanna try from there. Yes the food is greasy but what taco joint isn't? C'mon we deserve to cheat once in a while. a descent, recently opened taco place tucked away in a small shopping plaza in the valley. the service was good. everyone was helpful and enthusiastic about having you there, which is always refreshing. we got a pollo burrito that was a bit on the saucier and savory side. boyfriend did not particular enjoy it because he preferred his burrito dry. i, on the other hand, enjoyed it because it was full of flavor. chicken was cooked well and fully marinated and the tortilla was soft and sturdy (a nice springy texture). we also ordered a carne asada fries, which wasn't spectacular (and thus the 3 vs. 4 stars that I was so tempted to give). we were expecting something more similar to the ones we had in san diego, so when it was brought before us, we were a bit disappointed. this is not to say that it was not good in its own way, its just different. expectation aside, given the type of fries and sauces that they used for the dish, i think they could have used a different type of cheese (rather than the melted nacho cheese) to improve both the overall taste and presentation. in the end, we will return again to try their tacos, after all, it is in the name of the restaurant. read more

Cantina way..specifically since I can't seem to find an exact page We got here a around 10:25. We ordered two drinks at the bar, the girl that served us was very helpful and super sweet (unfortunately I didn't get her name). We sat down at a seat/table next to a group of people by the entrance while this place was completely empty. One of the servers that was working on the floor was extremely friendly to the table next to us and doing everything to service them but yet not once came up to us to ask us if we ever needed anything. It's been 45 minutes and no one has cared to ask us if we needed anything while we sat here with empty drinks. I understand that there is a bar but when I see a server accommodating everyone else(and dancing around their table) rather than trying to serve the other small group of people paying for what they came here for. makes me question their intentions and priorities. This services was awful..seating wise. I noticed everyone starting to "work" as soon as the owner walked in. They need to hire people that treat their customers equally. The burritos, tortas are good. But my favorite thing is the papas way. If you love cheese and meat you can't go wrong with those!

I came here for the first time and it was good. Although I was disappointed with this location (Owensmouth & Roscoe) because there was no alcohol and there was no one in there but us, but my mother-in-law and I still ate there because we were so hungry and I enjoyed my nachos and tacos.
