Thoroughly enjoyed the food and service at Tago. The atheistic is relaxed, the surroundings calming and a choice of restaurant or patio. The ribs and shrimp main courses were very tasty, well prepared and presented. Valet is $10 and on the premises. Will happily go back.

I had the BEST time at Tago for a date night. We originally stopped by as a pregame for the night before heading off to dinner. But we had such a great time ended up staying longer than expected. I ordered the cutest drink (I forgot the name of it but provided the picture) and it was delicious. The base liquor for the cocktail was rum mixed with coconut flavor as well. For light bites we ordered fried lobster tacos and the rigatoni. The food was hot, fresh and tasted made to order which we loved. It was pretty cold that evening so we decided to stay inside near the bar but I definitely will be back the spring to enjoy the patio too.

For reference I went at 6:30 PM on a Friday. Tago is like a restaurant/lounge vibe. It very much reminds me of being in Miami or Cancun with the ambience. They have a live DJ who plays great music that isn't too distracting either. We were seated immediately, service was very quick, and I loved the food and drinks. I had the hamachi crudo and the snapper dish. The crudo was yummy (and priced for happy hour) and the snapper was a large portion and delicious. The rice was creamy and spicy and the fish was cooked to perfection. I also drank the lavender haze cocktail which honestly was a standard gin/lavender cocktail but it was still good. This is a restaurant that you choose specifically for the vibe, and the vibe is a hybrid between Vegas day party or latin beach club. The music is a little louder than usual, but in a fun way. Everyone is dressed nicely. It's a good time. Note - I wasn't paying so I will say prices may be a little higher than expected and there is a $10 valet.

-1 for the food and -2 for customer service/care. Came for a birthday reservation, I was a little early so I checked in for the table. Overall party was 12mins late, found out they have no grace period (nor let me know in my face while I was there to notify my party) and they gave up our reservation and sat us outside stating if you Do Not Mention seating preferences in notes you will be placed outside. NO WHERE ONLINE STATES THIS OR GIVES YOU A CHOICE. The hostess suck at communicating and lack customer service. Don't even bother calling the listed number on their website, google, or IG... you'll get sent to voicemail! During business hours!! I ordered the adobo chicken, for a meat that's supposed to be marinated it was pretty dry, I did enjoy the black bean puree! Whole table was unsatisfied with their dishes too. Definitely come if you want a cute picture or a cute vibe! Some team members were very sweet and polite despite our negative service. We got our cute pictures and left to the next establishment. Do not come to indulge, not worth the calories or money. There's plenty room for improvement.

Tago is an up-and-coming restaurant/lounge that is actually really gorgeously decorated in my opinion. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and even a live DJ as early as 6 PM on the Sunday I went. I will say the music was a bit too loud for me that early into the evening, but the actual music selection was a vibe. Our server Mateo was very considerate and helped us so much with the menu. My friend and I got the flautas, eschites, and the papparadelle pasta with summer vegetables. Mateo told me to add chicken to the pasta or else it would be a little plain, and I'm glad I took his suggestion! The pasta was definitely a little under-salted and under-seasoned in my opinion, but with the chicken it was actually a happy combo. I tried some of my friends flautas and eschites too. I thought the eschites were alright, but the flautas were very spicy. I actually enjoyed the kick, but it was pretty intense. The drink that I ordered, the Paradise in Tulum, was also good but a bit mild flavor-wise for me. I did really enjoy my time at Tago! I think they are definitely up-and-coming and still tweaking the menu a bit, but it was a great vibe and I'd come try it again for a girls night out. Happy Yelping team!

My friend and I made a reservation the day prior for a 6pm Sunday table at Tago. There's ample street parking around and valet for those uninterested in walking. Upon being seated, the first thing I noticed was how loud the music was. It's pretty distracting; I think that the loud volume would be more appropriate after 9 or 10pm since they're open so late anyway. Even our waiter mentioned how loud it is. Our server, Mateo, was really cool and very honest with the food and drink recommendations. They unfortunately ran out of the quail so I did the eschites and flautas, as well as the semilla en passion drink. The food and drinks arrived promptly, and Mateo was very attentive to our table. My food and drink was pretty delicious, although I didn't realize the red salsa was going to be SO SPICY (just personal preference). My friend ordered the pasta and it was a bit underwhelming. We suggested to Mateo that whoever developed the menu consider adding some of the veggies and seasonings that topped the flautas to the pasta dish. It was a basic cream sauce that needed salt and truly just tasted like heavy cream. The chicken added flavor to the dish (per my friend), but I think it could be amped up! Overall, the decor and architecture was stunning! The interior design is so aesthetically pleasing and it's so pretty to look at. Even the outdoor area is really nice. All in all, I would return maybe for drinks or the small plate. One side note that is a personal pet peeve of mine is automatic gratuity that is not documented or verbalized. Tago put a 20% "service charge" on the receipt, but I didn't see that anywhere stated on the menu or by our server. It may be on the website, but I don't believe I should have to reference a website during my dining experience to ensure my bill is correct when I have a physical menu in front of me. Otherwise, wishing this new business all the best!

Go for the vibes only! The restaurant is decorated beautifully, you truly feel like you are in Tulum. Our server was very nice but seemed to be rushing us which brings me to where things turned for my friend and I. As we were wrapping up our meal after being in the restaurant for a hour and a half, the hostess comes and lets us know that we will need to get up from the table in 30 minutes. I don't like how establishments have implemented these time restraints on dining especially when the restaurant is empty. The food and drinks were just ok, but nothing stood out to make me want to return to the establishment.

This great nighttime date spot! We went for brunch. They did not have a brunch menu and were out of most of the things they needed to make the drinks we wanted. Night before took out inventory. The decor is Miami or Cabo vibes... the indoor and outdoors are just beautiful! The waiters are nice. Parking is rough and the outside surrounding areas aren't to inviting but once you get in the restaurant you'll be glad you came. We didn't get food even though you could ...they told us what we could order from the regular menu...we only got drinks they were good and strong and at 14 to 22 plus dollars a drink they were just as they should have been. I would def come back for a night time date.

Tago just opened up in Houston, and offers $10 valet. From the moment I walked in, the vibes were warm, stylish, and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The DJ set the perfect tone for the night, upbeat enough to keep things fun but still great for conversation. Our reservations were in the patio at first, however the staff insisted we move inside because of cold weather. It was very accommodating. The girls started off the night with a bottle of Ocho. The food was just as good; you can tell they put real thought into the flavors and presentation. Favs: -Hamachi crudo -Guac & chips -Vodka pasta Everything tasted fresh and came out quickly. Our server Vincent was another highlight. The staff were so welcoming. The manager Will was great, he kept on checking up on our table --thank you Will! If you're looking for a new spot in Houston with great drinks, delicious food, good music, awesome vibes, and top-tier service, Tago is definitely worth checking out for girls night out or just meeting new people. I'll be back soon!

I love this place. I've been here 4 times and it's been consistent. Peter makes the BEST drinks and he always suggests the bests options. If you come, order the lobster tacos. They're soooooo good!!!

I really wanted to enjoy this place, but the experience was disappointing. When I requested a chiller for my white wine and was brought a punch bowl instead, that should've been our cue to leave. The overall vibe didn't align with what the business appears to be aiming for, and the menu felt confusing and poorly thought out. There's clearly a big vision here, but the execution and attention to detail just aren't matching it. With more effort and consistency, this place could be much better.

Such a beautiful & nice vibe! Me & my girls came during White Linen Night for our first stop and dinner. The staff were very courteous and accommodating to our group. There was plenty of seating space for large and small parties inside and outside. Many people were having celebrations there. The patio was very cute too. The entire place makes you feel like you're in Tulum. My friends and I were very pleased with the food and drinks. The chips & queso was good. There was literally none left when I arrived lol. I ordered their Papardelle pasta with chicken and it was perfect! Fresh, hot & seasoned well. They also had some purple broccoli in it and it was delicious. The server gave me a great suggestion on a sweet cocktail with reposado called Mayan Muse, and im glad she did. It was very flavorful. The DJ and sparkles were definitely creating the party vibe. We had to leave for our next stop but would have liked to hang out on the patio after dinner. I would definitely recommend checking them out.

Had a great Friday dinner catching up with a good friend. Service was relaxed and we felt no pressure, which is great in a trendy spot! Walking in felt like walking into tulum... refreshing since it was raining outside! The food was perfect portioned and the drinks stole the show, I had a cucumber Gimlet and my friend had a tequila mixed drink... the new chilaquiles could have used a bit more queso fresco but we're good either way. My friend had the steak and potato dish, said the potatoes weren't flavorful but the steak was perfect. Over all the experience was enjoyable and had great photo of spots!

I asked for something tropical and not too sweet. It was pretty good but not as complex as the catch 22. My husband liked the jaded merchant better than the dew drop. Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out!
