Ordered the mais con ube latte and the mango sticky rice matcha. You could actually taste the hints of sticky rice/coconut flavor that complimented the mango. It was a little too sweet for me, but that's just my preference since I don't like things too sweet. My bf thought it was perfect and he loved his latte so much that he wanted to come back the next day since we were in the area for the weekend. Cute, new, and spacious coffee and tea house in Torrance with large variety of pastries and well made drinks! Comfy couches and chairs inside along with regular tables inside and outside. They also have a selection of games. There are no public toilets at the time so keep that in mind. The staff were very friendly and offered suggestions for their drinks. I love coconut flavor so was going to try the Bethlehem bliss, but I wanted something hot (will save to try it another time!), so they recommended the milk and honey which was really good and also had a nutty flavor. read more

OMGoodness This new coffee house & bakery is wildly wonderful! What a fantastic addition to the South Bay! The drinks & food items are well above the typical. The Staff & Owner are delightful, well trained and creative! Very welcoming I found them because my hair stylist (the Beard Zone) is right across the parking lot. I'm one happy camper... A haircut, coffee and bakery item every four weeks for sure!!! I'm sure I'll sneak in a couple times before my haircut is due for a wonderful treat and visit! Such a cute little coffee/matcha spot! I've been seeing it all over instagram so I had to stop by and support a small business. The cashier was very polite and welcoming. We got the ube matcha 10/10 and strawberry matcha (7/10) I wasn't much of a fan of the strawberry puree. There was some cute stickers for sale, a good amount of seating inside and outside and it looked like they have games for people to play which is so engaging. I have seen Tamistea advertised on Instagram for months and loved their photos and aesthetic. I have been so excited to try this cafe! After consideration, I ordered a banana bread latte and was pleased with the color and presentation of the drink. When I tried it, the banana bread foam tasted of bitter plantain rather than sweet banana. Maybe this is the flavor profile the drink is supposed to have, but it was quite disappointing. I will say, the coffee flavor and the salted caramel were great. The foam flavor was the only thing that threw off the overall flavor of the drink. On the bright side this means real banana was used for the flavor, it just wasn't ripe enough! Um I think this might be my favorite cafe/bakery in Torrance!!! The owner and staff are incredibly sweet! I got the isla refresher which is mixed in with calamansi and it is such a nice twist and never seen any cafe sell it (such a great drink for da summer time)!! Along with their ube kuki, it is such a good size for its price in my opinion, plus good flavor. Nice place to study too. They also spread so much Filipino representation and the word of God, which absolutely makes me appreciate this business even more! I've only heard great things about this place from my friends and sister, so I finally paid a visit. I ordered the Green Pastures matcha and my boyfriend ordered the Pandan matcha, both of which were so good--not too sweet but still conveying their key flavor notes. Cute cafe with tasty treats. Swung by on a weekday morning and there were a couple people hanging out or getting work done. Not a lot of sitting space if they get really busy, but enough for a laidback cafe. Very cozy atmosphere with charming decorations and good natural lighting. Staff were really friendly and hardworking. Bakery treats are on display next to the register and are pretty tempting. Ultimately couldn't resist the ube cookie and cornbread. The cookie was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, which is to me the prefect fresh cookie texture. The white chocolate chips and toffee (?) bits were nice for texture and the ube flavor comes through well in the dough. The combo of flavors runs sweet so get this if you're a sweet tooth, otherwise get it and eat it over the day. The cornbread suited my taste so well. It's like the all the grittiness of American cornbread was removed, replaced with fluffy cake texture, bits of sweet corn, and sweet vanilla. So delicious. Lastly finished off with a matcha latte with ube and it was solid. Not crazy stong matcha flavor, but on par with most coffee shops. Wishing the best for this new warmhearted business. read more

Hands down, my FAVORITE local bakery to support. I will always make sure that I make every event that they host. All their events are super enjoyable and provide high quality products! From their mozzarella sticks (my personal favorite) to their desserts (all my favorite and I cannot pinpoint just one specific) and even drinks (sweetest baristas and bakers). Parking is not difficult to find especially since the plaza has other businesses around. In addition to the amazing service, their interior is beautiful! The ambiance is welcoming and beautiful. I go here at least once a week and I absolutely love it!!. There Banana Bread lattes is my go to I love that thick cream top that balances out perfectly with their coffee.And if you enjoy Ube they have an amazing Ube cold foam that goes great with their coffee. Established in 2022, Tamistea began as a home bakery in West Covina, CA. Sharing Filipino-American inspired pastries with family, friends, and a growing community. What started from a kitchen filled with faith and passion has now blossomed into a welcoming storefront in Torrance. This has been two years in the making, and we’re so excited to finally soft open and welcome our community into the space we’ve poured our hearts into.

Hello everyone! My name is Tianna Gonzales, and I’m so grateful to be the owner of Tamistea. At 22, what began as a simple love for baking has grown into a dream come true. With a heart for hospitality and a love for Christ, my desire is to serve you with the same kindness and care that God so graciously shows me. Tamistea was created to be more than just a bakery café - it’s meant to be a warm and welcoming space where every cup and every treat carries a piece of that love. Newly opened, Tamistea, is located on Torrance Blvd, taking over the old Subway spot. If you've been there before, you'll probably recognize the sandwich-style counter setup, which is now displaying their pastries and cookies. It's in a convenient location with plenty of parking out front, which is always a plus. The space itself is pretty big, though there aren't a ton of tables and chairs yet. It feels like they're still settling in. The staff was warm and welcoming, which I really appreciated. As for the drinks, they offer some unique flavors. We tried the corn matcha and the strawberry matcha. I love that they're experimenting, but personally, the flavors didn't quite hit for me. They had a taste that felt a little off, and I had a hard time finishing them. That said, I can see what they're going for, and it might just come down to personal preference. The owner has really cute signage and seems to be putting in effort, especially on Instagram. I definitely want to support a new local spot, but I just think the drinks could use a little refining. I love tamistea!! This place is so good. I recommend getting their mango matcha. The flavor is perfectly sweet, not too sweet, not too underwhelming. The mango matcha is refreshing and has the perfect balance to me. On top of that, the service was so great. When I had questions the workers were so kind to assist me and even offer suggestions. It's definitely more of a mom and pop shop kinda vibe. Their decor is warm and welcoming... not as modern, but I love that. You should definitely support this family owned business. Also, if you enjoy coffee - the AVOCADO CON KAPE - was so delicious. It reminded me of Vietnamese coffee! The shot of espresso is strong and all the flavors come through, but the avocado is sweet and has a strong sweet creamy condensed milk taste. It's creamy but not too much, it hit the spot.
