This restaurant slaps. Best indian food in the area. Just ordered the tikka masala lunch box and it rocked my world.

I discovered this hidden gem when Google Maps suggested it as a new restaurant, I've become a regular diner because I love their fresh food and like the big variety they offer daily. It's the best buffet in a multi-town area, including Boulder. The buffet includes fish, lamb, and goat dishes that are to die for, along with other selections, including of course, vegetarian selections. The Sag is the best I've had anywhere. Recently I started ordering their authentic Chai--I love it. On top of the great food and friendly service, I really like the family that owns it--very nice people. I ate there today and enjoyed everything including the rice pudding and the fresh fruit: the oranges and cantaloupe were so sweet. I felt full and satisfied. read more

This place is worth a visit. The staff is really friendly and the buffet is hard to beat. The Saag, Chicken Masala and samosas were spot on. The spice level on the buffet is very low, but I can understand why they do that. Even the rice pudding was great. Also, the chai was real tasty. read more

4 stars for me. Having visited North India as a tourist as well as worked in South India in Chennai for a few months I feel that I have experienced alot of good Indian food. Having also been schooled on what the flavor profile should be from Indian co-workers while working for Dow Jones near Edison, NJ (which has a very large Indian immigrant population) as well as at team gatherings when blessed to a homecooked traditional Indian meal I believe I have a decent idea of the flavor profile. Finally, I also was fortunate to spend a few months doing the hut to hut hiking in Nepal's Himalayas so I am very familiar with Nepali. All that said, this is a good solid flavorful buffet. While alot of the dishes don't look great, they have good flavor. The tandoori chicken definitely doesn't have the traditional clay pot cooked look of a deep red but did have a decent flavor and the rest had the right level of spices - though many dished may have mixed flavor profiles, they were still full of flavor and spice. The chai also seemed closer to legit of teas drank from the chai wallas all over India. I can't say this is the best Indian food I've had but I can say if you are looking for Indian flavor and spices, this is a good place to get your fix. read more

What a treat to have this place in Lafayette now. Delicious food and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. I have only had take out so far, so commenting on that experience, but you can sit down and they have a lunch buffet. When ordering, beware with you spicy level -- much spicier than some other takeout options in town so adjust accordingly to your taste. Yay! An Indian restaurant in Lafayette! My husband and I ordered take out on their third night open and our order was ready super fast and the service was very friendly. We got our usuals - chicken tikka masala and saag paneer, along with some garlic naan, and everything was delicious. The chicken masala was spot on - super flavorful, right amount of spice, lots of chicken. We are so excited to have a local, amazing, Indian restaurant! read more

Part of me doesn't want to write about how incredible this place is. I've been here twice, both times with the family. We had dinner the first evening a couple of weeks ago and the lunch buffet today. I have to say that the food was exceptional at dinner, but the lunch buffet exceeded that experience. We were recognized and welcomed warmly and the buffet service was attentive, warm and kind. While the dinner was very good, I'd recommend the buffet, that allows you to sample a whole variety of dishes. The food on the buffet is fresh and extremely high quality. The naan is among the best we've had in Colorado and the staff is very cognizant of what goes into each dish to help those with food allergies / sensitivities. Even though we don't want to wait in line, this place is simply too good to keep to ourselves. read more

The tandoori kitchen is everything you ever wanted from a Indian restaurant right in your own neighborhood. The food is spiced perfectly and the service is excellent. Sometimes they get very busy but they still manage to make sure everything is running smoothly. My family have gotten takeout from them 3 times now and everything is on point. Their naan bread is so soft yet has a little bit of the airy crispness from the tandoor oven. My kids really like how the chicken Tikka masala is spiced perfectly and how every bite has so much flavor. When ever I dine in, I'll get a drink from their bar and it seems pretty on par. Sometimes they do weekend specials and introduce new menus and I like try items off there as well. Their service is very good as all of their servers are very accommodating and kind. They are very new but honestly I can't imagine going anywhere else. read more

I have been to the Tandoori Kitchen twice and both times the food and the service was outstanding. It is rare to find a restaurant with both incredible food and staff that is attentive to every detail of your meal. I also enjoy being here because it is quiet and it is very relaxing to eat here. I don't like the noise and loud music at many restaurants but the Tandoori Kitchen is perfect because of the peaceful atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant. Felicity Muench read more

My cousins took me here during my trip to Colorado and I have to say it's one of the best restaurants I've been to in my life. The food is incredible and the staff are very kind and helpful. The owner personally came over to our table to ensure we were enjoying our meal and then gave us a complimentary dessert. He took the time to learn our names and you can easily tell that he cares about each and every customer that walks through the door. I can't recommend this place enough. Finally checked out this Restaurant as I kept hearing EVERYBODY talking about it. Was skeptical at first as it is less than a year old but now I see why everyone has adored this place ever since it opened. The classic-signature-Indian dishes such as Tikka Masala, Korma, Tandoori are the among the best that you can find in the country. I have had Indian food up and down the west coast (Mainly CA) and that quality of food is what it compares to. Their not so mainstream dishes are what I love the most. They have the best options for each region of India. I took my South Indian friend here and she saw then ordered a Malabar dish that she said is very popular in her region (Karnataka, India) back home. She was amazed because it isn't available on any other menu that she has seen. Honestly I can name countless experiences that I can recall AND I haven't even been going here that often. This place is a true gem. A place to bring your family, a place to hangout with friends or even for just a quick bite. The staff is very kind, respectful and accommodating to all. The little things like the server always remembers my drink of choice. I could write a lot more but I hate reading long reviews so I'll leave it here for now. Stopped in for lunch and was not inpressed. Not many options, not spicy at all, and they do not offer bowls. Eating the curry and chicken masala was like eating soup on a plate. Tried everything in 5 minutes and did not want to get seconds. Some things did have good flavor but the chicken tandoori seemed overcooked and cold. Also the fried onions were somewhat soggy and cold. They should offer a lunch menu and not a buffet. $10 for the buffet is a bit overpriced for what is offered. read more

we ordered take out for my brother in laws birthday party and we got Indian chicken Marsala, several currys naan bread, vegetable samosas ,Indian lentil curry and some rice and it was amazing so yummy and it was affordable and budget friendly the staff were kind and helpful at helping my sister pick the right dishes thanks again for a great meal read more

This is the best Indian food that I have had in years! I've been eating Indian food for decades and I am a foodie of world cuisine. Living in Boulder for over a decade, I've tried every Indian and Nepali restaurant in Boulder County and there are many good ones. I stumbled upon Tandoori Kitchen while exploring Lafayette's shopping centers to see if there were any new businesses/restaurants. I'm so glad to find this place! The food is so flavorful. They serve cuisine from all regions of India; North, South, East and West. I was happily surprised to find that they use curry leaves in some of their dishes (this is rare to find in local Indian restaurants in Colorado.) Being a vegetarian, I tried all their vegetarian options, and there were many to choose from on their buffet. Every dish was seasoned to perfection with traditional spices like fresh ginger, both green and black cardamom, asafoetida (hing), curry leaves, and many other exotic spices of India. The heat(hot spiciness) level of their dishes that I tried were mild, which is the way I prefer to eat and taste food. If you prefer more heat, you can always add it from their condiment bar which had a hot chili pepper puree. As for deserts, I only tried the kheer (Rice Pudding). Personally, it was bland and I felt it could have used some cardamom or other spice to give it more life/taste. However, the other food that I tried was so flavorful that this didn't deter my pleasant experience. The staff were professional and focused on their service duties. Oh! ...and the best thing is their lunch buffet is only $9.99. Don't let this price fool you, the food is topnotch! I can't say enough about my experience at Tandoori Kitchen and hope you enjoy this place as much as I did, if you should visit... of course some restaurants change over time, but I hope Tandoori Kitchen will keep their standards of food quality and service for years to come.
