Really great Thai comfort food. Portions are really generous and affordable! The interior of the restaurant is really nice and comfortable. Service was friendly, they had a couple high school kids hosting/serving. Highly recommend, I will be back!

First time going to Tangerine Thai. Delicious and beautiful Pad Thai. Staff are very friendly and service is prompt. Only drawback is finding street parking as there is no lot. It's definitely worth the effort though.

My boyfriend and I visited Tangerine Thai for dinner after attending an event at nearby Woodland Park Zoo, as we wanted to dine somewhere walking distance. We found Tangerine Thai and as we were looking at the menu in the window, a couple was exiting and mentioned to us how yummy the food was. Sold. We were the only ones dining in half an hour before closing on a Friday night. We ordered the BBQ chicken, the Steak Salad and Pumpkin Curry with sticky rice. Everything came out in a timely matter and service was excellent. However, food just seemed to be A-OK. Of all our dishes I enjoyed the pumpkin curry the most, with its huge chunks of pumpkin within the sauce! That's what mostly sold it for me. It was a good dish, with lots of coconut and pumpkin flavor, and would recommend ordering it. However, the BBQ chicken was overcooked, hence dry. Portion was large and the side of a sour-sweet dipping sauce was nice with the chicken, but wished the chicken had been moist and juicy. Steak salad had yummy veggies and the garlic-y dipping sauce was fantastic, but shouldn't the steak be the winner here? Sadly, it needed a little more grill on the cook, as the texture was slightly undercooked and hard to chew. Not a bad place for Thai food, and cool that it's a neighborhood eatery with a close proximity to my favorite place, the zoo! But, the food just had some minor issues. Had the dishes been perfectly cooked, our dining experience here would've been better. The menu offers a lot of dishes that most Thai restaurants don't, so I would come back for a second try.

I love a good rice noodle and they do it so well. It very thin and soaks up the sauce very well. I got the guay tiew lohd tom yum and it was so flavorful. Protein is marinated pork and fried shrimp as topping. You can taste the fish sauce, and tanginess from tom yum. Good textures with pork, pork roll, bean sprouts, and peanuts. Overall good food. Would come back to try their other dishes!

The savory fillings also blended super well with the wrapping and were absolutely delicious. Khao Soi was good too but I wasn't impressed- the noodles were not cooked too well and kinda stuck together, but it wasn't major. However seating was a bit confusing as you had to find an empty table and the server would bring you the food. When it was busy the line and wait got messy and it's possible to get your food without having a table so I don't recommend coming here when it's super busy There were around 8 tables and some bar seatings. You can see staff making the food over the counter and the ventilation was done well even with all the stir fry and cooking.

When entering they had a live keyboardist and singer playing Valerie which I was a fan of. We stopped in at 10pm on a week night and were sat right away and service was prompt and friendly. We chose fried calamari for an appetizer which was super delicious. My boyfriend thought the sauce that came with the calamari was too spicy for his liking but for me it was super sweet and paired perfectly with the calamari. We enjoyed the appetizer thoroughly and I would say it was my favorite part of the meal. My man ordered his favorite Thai dish Panang chicken Curry spice level 1. He said his meal was delicious but big portion so we both took to go our leftovers. I tried the curry and it was super tasty. I ordered my go to prawns Pad Thai and chose spice level 3. The Pad Thai was delicious and large portion but level 3 was not spicy at all so if you love spicy like me choose above level 3. Not the best Pad Thai I've ever had being honest but still yummy especially for late night. Definitely a great late night choice with large portions!

The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and we were looking forward to the bold flavors we've come to love. The visit started off a bit oddly. The front desk server, Tar, asked to see my wife's ID--even though she's 36 years old and we weren't seated in the bar area. It felt inconsistent, especially since younger guests nearby weren't asked, and it's something we've never experienced at their other locations. Unfortunately, moments like that made us feel singled out, and honestly it sometimes feels like they tend to pick on Asians, whether intentional or not. That feeling alone made the experience uncomfortable and will likely make this our last visit to this location. That said, the table service was excellent. Moo took great care of us, and Cece from the bar was attentive and kept our water filled throughout the meal. Unfortunately, there were a few moments that took away from the experience. While I was taking photos of our dishes, a young staff member alongside Tar appeared to be giggling and mocking me, which made things uncomfortable. It may not have been intentional, but it didn't feel professional and only added to the awkward atmosphere we already felt. Food-wise, there were some inconsistencies. The chicken didn't taste as good as we remember, and several plates had visible fingerprints, which was off-putting. The galvanized metal plates also gave off a slightly unrefined feel--more like cafeteria-style serving ware. Additionally, the sticky rice, which is usually presented in a traditional bamboo basket, was served in a Ziploc bag, which felt like a downgrade in presentation. On a positive note, the papaya salad and pad Thai were still very good and delivered the flavors we expect. We'll continue supporting Isarn, but we'll likely return to the Kirkland or Lynnwood locations next time. Sadly, after this experience, this Queen Anne visit will probably be our last.
