Jamie is the best!!! I finally found a hair salon that I can come back to and make it my REGULAR place! Every time I go there everyone is in a good mood and smiling. I've gone to Jamie numerous times because my hair always looks amazing and exactly how I wanted it, and bet of all, all of the stylists get involved lol they come over and compliment the work and give opinions, it's way assuring that it'll be a good result. I can not tell you how excited I was that Tangles was back in Los Gatos. I have been going to Brande for 12 years, wow, yes 12. She is one of the most talented hairdressers I have ever encountered (including the overpriced salons I have visited in Los Angeles). She listens to everything you have to say and once you go to her she knows just what you hair can or cannot manage. I love Laura and what she does with my hair. She's been my go to gal for about four years now. I've tried others and they just screw it up. The only downside is the cost. Yikes! I went to Tangles to get my Nails and Pedicure done. Karen did my nails with Gel and they look fantastic. I relaxed in the massage chair while she did my pedicure, and again she did a really good job. The shop was clean and neat, the staff was friendly and even offered us brownies! I'm new to the area and I'm fickle about trying new hair salons but I decided to give Tangles a try after a referral from a co-worker...I am SO happy I found this place! I did a partial weave with Renee (who owns the salon) and she was super friendly, efficient, and most importantly of all, KNEW what she was doing. She has 20+ years of experience and it shows. My hair is gorgeous (it's very processed but she managed to make the weave look nicely blended and my hair shiny) and I would definitely go back. I have been wanting my bangs cut now for a couple months but was really scared to make the change. I had some free time when I was LG last week and stopped by Tangles to see if they time for a walk in. Kaycee was my stylist and I couldn't have been more happy with the results. Not only did she make sure I felt comfortable and cut my bangs exactly how I wanted them; she gave me a whole blow out, which I wasn't expecting. I don't think my hair has ever looked so good. Wow is all I can say! First time here and Kirsten did an amazing job! I have super thick long hair and nobody was able to handle it for so long. Went in and her and Theresa came up with a plan and she did it. Totally took her time (over 5 hours with me) , went piece by piece and it came out great. My husband has wavy unruly hair and is rarely happy after a haircut. He has tried about a half dozen salons throughout San Jose and the area and is never satisfied. The best Manicurist and Pedicurist in the Bay Area without exception!!! Ti (pronounced as Tee) is an excellent manicurist. She is simply the best. I have been seeing her for my pink and white (french manicure)gel nails for over 10 years.. Her skills are amazing. She is consistent and very reliable. She has a very nice personality and is fun to talk with. Her sister Mimi does an excellent job as a pedicurist.. She is very meticulous about her work and.... she gives the very best leg and foot massages. If you haven't tried their nail services yet, your are really missing out...big time!. read more

My hair stylist at Tangles is Danielle. I adore her and have always had the best cut, color and service possible. I am actually quite picky with long hair. I actually dont write reviews often but she is worth it. Even though I get relatively the same highlights each time, she always takes the time to find out what I want or if I am looking to change it up. Lindsay Alexander is an AMAZING stylist/colorist!!! My hair is a deep red, and it it so hard to find someone who will do a good job matching the color to what I want. Lindsay gets it right every time, and she's so wonderful to work with. :) I get compliments on my hair all the time! She also cuts my hair, which most stylists complain about because it's so thick. She does a great job, and I always leave happy with her work. I have never been this satisfied with a hair stylist, and I'm so glad I have her!! I have been going here for years now. Lindsey Alexander is the best!!!!!! I have so so much hair. Literally it's down my back. When I started first going to her my hair was so damaged and dry. I found Tangles through instagram and later heard that some coworkers get their hair done here. All of the stylists look like they do amazing work! I had an appointment with Rosana for a cut and color for my first visit, about two weeks ago. I've been getting ombre/balayage's for the past four years and was at a light brown/dark blonde color, looking to go blonder. I was really nervous cause I've had my hair messed up before when going lighter, and I have thin hair that damages quickly. I showed Rosana a few pictures even though I didn't have a set idea of the exact color I wanted. She was really nice and professional, and is overall really sweet! She listened to exactly what I did and didn't want and gave me a color I'm so happy with - and a great cut! Best of all, my hair looks and feels great - something I definitely wasn't expecting with the bleaching. I've already recommended Rosana to two of my friends and will continue to do so. read more

This is the first time I've gone to yelp to write a bad review, but holy moly, this was the WORST haircut experience I have ever had. I have long, straight hair, very simple to cut. My bangs were cut so crooked it's not even funny, and Kirsten looked straight at me and said 'no, they are straight.' She tried to fix them a second time, and now they are just a shorter version of crooked. One side above my eyebrows, the other side below my eyebrows. I'm not going back there. They did not do my color correctly - I went in to get my hair blonde - a retouch on the roots that is and they made my roots orange and said... "It looks great". This plus a horrible uneven haircut cost me $215. It was ridiculous. I will never go back there...they don't care about what they do; they don't care about their clients. I also asked to have my formula beforehand and they gave me a different formula than before saying they would have never used the products that were in the first one. I will never go back there! The environment is nice - but the people dress very poorly. I mean seriously how many thongs to you have to see! I have to find someplace else now to get my hair fixed. All they care about their is talking to their co-workers about the drama in their lifes! read more
