Kid's Cheeseburger with Canadian Beef and non-greasy fries (6yo son ate most of it)
    Daniel C.

This is the main restaurant on Granville Island, right next to the Public Market and overlooking the harbor. Its a huge restaurant that gets very busy, so line up early! For our lunch, my wife and son both enjoyed their dishes more than I did. I would still recommend coming here, but only if you try to enjoy the meal and not eat too healthy. Their food and drink menu is huge! 1. My Caesar Salad with Garlic Chicken had no taste of any garlic or seasoning. The salad was fine but man that chicken was super dry. On the flip side, my wife loved the Seafood Caesar with salmon, shrimp, and scallops. Unfortunately, I am recovering from gout so I tend to avoid shellfish these days. 2. Our 6yo son got the Kid's Cheeseburger and surprisingly he ate most of it. He has bot been enjoying In and Out back in the USA these days so it was a crapshoot. Fries were crispy without being oily. Good burger - maybe because its 100% Canadian Beef, LOL. It came with granny smith apple and a tall glass of apple juice. Service was friendly. One other minor ding is that if you sit inside, there is not much ventilation or AC, so on a hot day you may be better off on the patio with fresh air.

We had just finished a whale watching cruise and we walked over to this restaurant. It's very visually appealing with all of its yellow and it looked very cute and hip. Very minimal wait as the place is huge and can seat a lot of people. We sat outside by preference and it was really nice. We asked if we could have the umbrella opened up by our table because the sun was shining and it was hot. They gladly accommodated us. And I also wanted to sit away from the bar because it was noisy and they accommodated that request also. I ordered the Caesar salad with salmon, which was amazing. My companion had the Aji tuna Poké bowl and did not like it. The flavors were not very good. Most of the food looks fried so just be careful what you order. Reasonably priced and the food comes out pretty quick.

This place is delicious! The drinks were super yummy! We ordered food to share. There was a bit of a wait but it was worth it. It's a little loud in there so if you are looking for a quiet intimate place this might not be for you. The service was good. They were attentive and checked on us often. The ceviche was not what we were expecting but it was good!

Amazing view from outdoor patio, super friendly staff, we were quickly seated despite a line out front, and the food was excellent! No complaints what so ever. Highly recommend!

First time in Vancouver and visited this place for some dinner by the water. I recommend sitting outside cause it has great views. Our server was fantastic. She went above and beyond on bringing separate plates for the lobster roll that was being shared. Regarding the food, both the ceviche and the lobster roll were delicious. This a must place to eat at if you're visiting Vancouver.

Nice spot on Granville. Gluten free options! I had the gluten free margherita pizza and thought the crust was excellent. They were so thoughtful and accommodating of my gluten free request, made sure they noted that I had celiac and assured me they would try to keep cross contamination to a minimum. I had no issues! Good drinks! Had the spicy passion fruit margarita, very tasty! My husband had the red truck lager and he liked it a lot. He also had the ahi tuna ceviche which was excellent. We went on a Saturday around 11:30 AM and were seated immediately. Bit of a wait when we left around 12:30 PM. I could see this place get busy when the weather is nice, as they have outdoor seating. Good views!

My last dinner in Vancouver before moving away. Fitting that I was seated with a view of my apartment that I had just moved out of, looking out the window where I had my wedding photos taken (when it was still the old Bridges). I was exhausted from moving, and I just wanted some beers and a clean meal. Their hummus plate I had before in January and I was blown away by how good it was, so came back for that, and a nice beer tasting flight. I also had one of their rice bowls and had the tofu option. Honestly, it was exactly what I needed when I was too exhausted to do anything else. The staff were really great - they understood what I needed.

Immediately walked in with a table of 10 (indoors) during the busy lunch rush. Service was quick and the food was delicious!

Went to Tap & Barrel twice in the SAME day on my birthday for cocktails and appetizers, which feels less like dining and more like a custody arrangement at that point. First waitress was awesome. For some reason I became fully convinced she was a skateboarder. No evidence. No skateboard nearby. Just a vibe I invented in my head. She was not a skateboarder. Still gave amazing service to the table despite me apparently profiling people as "kickflip capable." Came back later and got served by a guy with glasses who was possibly the happiest human being I've ever encountered. Not "good customer service" happy. Like Disney side character levels of joy. I left in a better mood than when I arrived and slightly concerned he may actually be powered by sunlight. 10/10. Apparently my new hobby is spending entire days at Tap & Barrel.

I never knew that tap and barrel has half price bottled wine on tuesdays. My friend happened to google and found out. their wine list isnt very extensive but definitely some basic and well received types. We also ordered from their late night happy hour menu which starts at 9pm. We tried the wild mushroom pizza, which was great with quality amount of mushrooms and cheese We also ordered the tots. Nothing fancy and spectacular. Just something i havent had for a long time. we were seated at the patio which has very good and spectacular views for the night!!

The views here are beautiful - whether you're outside or upstairs there's plenty of seating with great views of False Creek. I went for a brunch on a Sunday and they have a special $4 dollars off brunch food items. My main was the double bacon benedict ($15 after the discount). The dish had a really nice savory flavor and the hollandaise sauce was incredible. The potatoes were cooked to perfection as well. Before my food, I got an espresso martini ($13) which hit the spot. The atmosphere is top notch and the staff throughout was very friendly. Although, they're a little disorganized when entering. They need a better system as I had to wait to get a table, even though it wasn't busy.

We arrived and enjoyed the gorgeous outdoor waiting area around the fire pit for a patio table that is dog friendly and a major round of applause must be given to the hostess team here as they also expertly made sure to seat even the three dogs another table was waiting on at a section of the patio separate from ours to ensure minimal dog barking and any issues so the patio stayed peaceful. I can confirm this as I asked the wonderful hostess if we can perhaps be seated apart from other dogs as our puppies are still learning social etiquette and she said not to worry they seat dogs separated on purpose. So brilliant! Wish more restaurants did this, sometimes they too often seat them close to each other and interactions cannot be avoided. And the rest of our service was just as professional and friendly, times perfectly. Every dish was delicious and healthy, portioned generously to boot. All amazing to discover since we saw how busy this location of Tap & Barrel can be with a line and folks waiting all day. Dog friendly, delicious, clean, and gorgeous views? Impressive.

After an early start to the day and lots of walking and sight seeing we were happy to have walked by Tap & Barrell. It was pretty busy for a Monday and we had to wait a little to get seated but it was worth the wait. The kitchen seemed a little overwhelmed because the food took a while to come out, but our server was very attentive and friendly and gave us some good recommendations from the menu. I had a chicken Caesar salad which I liked, the chicken was cooked well and the seasoning was great. My highlight was the Hugo cocktail, as I don't see it too often on restaurant menus where I live now. I always get it whenever I see it somewhere and highly recommend it! We sat outside and enjoyed the lovely view of the water. Even though it was busy the atmosphere was still super relaxed and not noisy at all.

All their salads are good but imo the rustic chicken orzo is the best one!! This is definitely the nicest of all the locations for dining in, the room is so chill and beautiful. Good vibes all around. As far as delivery goes they are always quick, efficient and on time. They use sustainable packaging as well! Pro tip, the chocolate peanut butter cookie is yummy too and I always throw in an order of the lemon protein balls for breakfast the next day. I asked for light dressing and it was so light, it was barely there (I only know it was bc I watched him make it). The chicken in the salad was super tasty, the croutons were pretty...crouton-y, so pretty tough. If you're a fan of crunchy never soggy croutons, this is for you. The soy egg was one of the best bites I had today, so good that I wished it was my last bite. The salad was good, especially the pieces where you got dressing.
