All hail to the awesome beer-ness that is Tap and Bottle. They sponsor great events, have an incredible selection of bottled and canned beer & wines, and have a great selection of rotating taps. I'm not sure what else you can ask for... you get to try lots of beers, find a new favorite, mingle, and take part in their great events. We recently attended when they sponsored Mr. Nature and it was great for our son and awesome for us, win-win if you ask me. My recommendation, go in and try something and find a new favorite. They are not uppity beer snobs, but people who genuinely just want to help you explore and find your next favorite beer... mine you ask? I love me some Tap & Bottle....and while I am partial to the downtown location this one is 5-stars in book as well. This is one is definitely more quiet...but I kind of liked it! I love the lay out of the tables here...and there are plenty of games to play! Offerings are remain top quality as well. Just like downtown T&B you can BYOF (bring your own food). They also have a private room with a large table which could be great for a small private gathering, beer tasting, etc. Drinking here can be a splurge but T&B is all about sourcing the best of the best. It's also a great spot to pick up gifts or growlers for the beer lovers in your life. Pros: Close to my house, great selection, selection varies greatly over time, kids welcome but don't overrun the place, recent addition of a $1-off happy hour M-Th (all day Monday, before 6:00 Tu-Th). Cons: Kind of sterile and boring, bartenders (while perfectly capable and well-versed in their beers) are uninterested in interacting with the clientele, patrons don't really talk to one another (in general). I don't know this is a fine place. $6-8 per beer is kind of pricey. There just isn't an atmosphere where people talk to one another much. I'd blame this on society, but it happens elsewhere so I sort of blame the bartenders who are either related to the family who owns the place or are just doing a job that they don't seem that interested in. A fantastic bottle shop with ample space, excellent taps and friendly staff. I moved to Marana shortly before COVID lockdown began and was concerned for the lack of nearby beer retailers with selections that go beyond your usual AB-InBev fare. Though still not "close," T&B North has been a treasure during pandemic times. Their app made ordering for pickup a breeze and their Instagram is updated daily with new products meaning I had a really good idea what options I had or what I was getting myself into. In addition to their excellent product selection, they offer a great rewards program that's given me a great excuse to try things I otherwise would be hesitant to gamble on. They've also been, to my eyes, very good about pandemic protocols. read more

Mindy and Max are the best! Come check this place out they have a wide variety of different beers on tap. Definitely something for everyone. Non beer drinkers they have great wines and Mead available. Although I do suggest telling a beer tender what you prefer and letting them open your mind and taste buds to the beauty of local and well crafted beer. We are so thankful that T&B opened a location up North for us northerners. It has a wonderful atmosphere, which is kiddo and doggy friendly and offers indoor, outdoor and a private seating area (which I think can be reserved.) To the people complaining that there's no food, there's plenty of food nearby and you can bring in or order in any food you want. Also for people (Mary S.) complaining that the beer is too expensive: The majority of what they are serving is craft beer, with a significant representation of Arizona-brewed selections. If you're craving $2.50 happy-hour beers, go to Chotchkie's and enjoy... but if you're looking for some rare finds, locally-brewed favorites, and worldwide craft beer and wine, mixed with great company, insanely friendly owners and staff, and chill ambiance, then this is your place. The north part of town is so overdue for this type of place. Nice venue with indoor and outdoor seating. Unique lineup of beers on tap and a nice assortment of bottles/cans in the coolers. I visited the north location for the first time because of a pie and beer pairing event. I know what you're thinking, there's nothing more perfect than these two wondrous foods put together. I love that they host events such as this one because it really brings the community together to celebrate amazing food and alcohol. Tap & Bottle is great because they offer such a wide variety of taps for you to try. It never gets boring because they rotate out their tap every so often, so you can always expect something new each time you go! What's even better is the extensive selection of canned and bottled beer and wine that you can try. I loved coming here because there's sure to be a beer for everyone's unique taste. They also have a load of board games available, so it's great fun for big and small groups to get together and enjoy each other's company!! read more

Fans of the original location who live further north in Tucson will be happy to find a near carbon copy of the original at Tap and Bottle North. Perhaps one advantage to this place (in addition to the more northern location), to the extremely picky, will be the larger, more modern bathroom facilities and the outdoor seating areas. Otherwise, you will find (as far as I could tell) the same prices and the same variety and selection. You can also still bring in your own food, and I am uncertain of whether they offer food truck options. TL;DR: if you like T&B you should also like this location. read more

Take the tried and true formula of the downtown location, make it bigger, and then add parking. That's the gist of T&B North. Still has a great tap list, still has a great bottle shop. The staff is still great and the atmosphere is still pretty lively. Always busy, and they have a stack of menus from the various places around that you can get food from (Guadalajara, Truland,Tucson Tamales, etc). They have lots of events, and trivia on Thursdays. I enjoyed this place. They have a large selection of beers to choose from, especially locally. As well as a wine selection. Then they had 30 beers on tap to choose from. Inside and outside seating. The only thing I didn't quite like was how crowded it was. There wasn't enough seating and it was so loud. Definitely could benefit from a more open design for the inside. I like how spacious this location is! It's very accessible and is in a good area. I went here on a Thursday around 9:45pm and it wasn't too busy. We were able to walk to the bar and get samples and place our orders immediately. Very casual and laid back crowd. Lots of seating and tables. They're dog friendly and they even have board games. I've been going to Tap and Bottle North since they opened and thought I would give it some time before I wrote a review. First off, the beers they have on tap are fantastic. I know if I want to try some new beers, they'll have them. Usually beers run from about $5-7 depending, which is reasonable if you like good beer. The wine starts at about $7 and goes upwards. You can buy carafes as well. In addition to pours, they have an impressive to-go section, which is probably how I'll have my beer from now on as I'm not so pleased with the ambiance. This is a bar, the name is pretty clear about that. They don't make food to go with the beer and wine they serve (you can buy snacks or bring your own food), because most people come here to enjoy delicious adult beverages. Unfortunately, it's like a daycare where parents drink and let their children run amuck. I've seen parents bring their infants inside in car seat things and use that to reserve a table while both went to the bar to order. Last night was particularly bad as they had a screaming toddler running in circles at the entrance and a twin baby stroller taking up space with limited seats available. You don't see this kind of stuff downtown at bars, I'm not sure why parents take their kids to bars in Casas Adobes. Ideally, if tap and bottle wants to cater to adults who drink with their children, they should create an area for them to remain in as to not ruin the evening of adults who went to the bar to enjoy their beer with their friends. They could even limit the hours that kids are allowed, like before 5 on weekends. They could start carding people at the door like normal bars and only 21+ can go in. read more

A step up from the downtown digs. Free parking available and less hipster-types. Tap & Bottle always has an excellent variety on tap, and if nothing pleases you, you can find something in the bottle shop. And you may want to stick to the bottle shop if you're looking for affordability. Depending on the beer, something on tap can cost you $6-11. Generally, I would come here for one or two seasonal or special beers and not put away several, so that's fine for me. I'd definitely choose this location over downtown. Unfortunate because they are the closest bottle shop near me and I am a craft beer fanatic who takes at least one trip a week to the local bottle shop. However, the bartenders are always rude and make me feel unwelcome. The bartender today was clearly very uninformed and tried to tell me information that just wasn't true and made it seem like I couldn't purchase alcohol because I had an out of state ID. Which, this is just not true, as I am also a bartender in AZ and am very familiar with the state laws. There is a way to stay something to someone, and that wasn't it, especially when you are incorrect. Will probably be a while before I'm back and will continue to make a farther drive for better service. read more

Part of what makes Tap & Bottle so fun and "Tucson" is the historical charm of the downtown location. This location is lacking all the charm and atmosphere of the original location. It feels a bit generic and a knock off which I found hard to get over. It has the beer fridges and unique list of beers on tap. The service was slow for being pretty empty. I loathe slow service at a bar when it's dead. We sat outside at one of the few small tables. It's a little awkward that the only patio with chairs and tables is accessible through the event room. What if there is a private event? No tables? The other little patio had some sad looking benches, loads of leaves, a dead Palo Verde beetle, and cobwebs. I love the concept of a good beer patio but these two separate patios were in desperate need of love! Over all, not a bad experience but compared to the original location it still needs some love and TLC. read more

I was excited to visit this place and thy have a nice exterior and looked trendy! We wanted cocktails and as our first choice place had a long wait we decided to try something new...... well we were disappointed. First off we walked in and the place was pretty empty for a saturday night at 7:30pm and the first thing (i think the owner) said to us was " got your mask?" no was was there dude - and he didn't have a mask on! (come on - if you are gonna have a rule - follow it yourself- IDC). So already not feeling welcomed - we looked at the menu and while they have a nice selection of beer and bottled drinks - no cocktails - non at all - i felt like it is a glorified refrigerator - i can get bottles at home i don't need you to hand me one - lol - i really wanted a cocktail so we decided to leave. I think this would be a great venue for card game groups or something were you don't drink anything fancy. To be if you are gonna be a bar - BE a bar and serve cocktails not just bottled and tap drinks - but i cant complain too much cause it is literally in their name - "Tap and Bottle" i just didn't think that was literally all they had. I think Tap & Bottle North will tend to be an extremely convenient location - especially for when I'm staying in Tucson. I spend more time in the Oro Valley area than downtown when I'm here, so this location is perfect. The set up at this location looks much like the downtown Tucson Tap & Bottle, just a little less cozy. When you come in, the bar is to the right, the menu to the left, and the bottle shop in back. Perfect! Unlike the downtown location, I have not stopped to physically sit down and try any beer here. However, when I walked in, the bartenders were welcoming and smiley (unlike how my previous experience was downtown). This location has a great collection of beers in the bottle shop, and this was the real reason I was stopping in. T&B is always good to get some harder-to-find beers I'm interested in: odd New Belgium beers, a good selection of Funkwerks, and they even had some from Almanac Brewing. These were the main ones I was searching for this trip, so Tap and Bottle did not disappoint. I think this will be the location I most likely frequent in future Tucson trips. It's not yet super busy (that being said, I came in later on a Tuesday), their selection of beers to purchase is just as good as the downtown location, and overall, the bartenders and bottle shop heads were much friendlier and helpful to me than downtown T&B. I think it'll be a great addition! read more

My friends and I love the original Tap and Bottle, so we knew we had to try out this newer one. The layout reminds me a lot of Dragoon, which isn't a bad thing because I like that place. It's a lot more spacious than the downtown location, but it also has a different vibe and an older crowd, which suits me fine. As much as I like the exposed brick and rustic feel of downtown, I love the space in this northern location a lot more. And they had televisions so we were able to watch the game. Still the great selection of beers in refrigerators and a big rotating tap. I would definitely recommend it to those who love the original Tap and Bottle but are looking for more space and less college kids. read more

We eagerly anticipated a new tap room on the North end of town and stopped in on a Monday afternoon. It is a small place in a strip mall without any "ambiance" which is not a big deal, but not special either. The beer menu was extensive with a number of fruity and wheat options for those who like those kinds of things. First impression was that they seemed a little on the pricey side but unfortunately, I cannot comment on the quality because we could not get served. We were handed menus right away when we sat at the bar with four other people. The bartender never came back and we could not catch his eye. After twenty minutes or so we left. I should have given this a one star but they are new, so maybe they'll get their act together after they work the kinks out. read more

very industrial decor; good choices on the wine and beer although I thought somewhat pricey....Other than popcorn and pickles and other trivial snacks, no food, unless you want to order from the menu next door (Tucson Tamales). The help were not engaging nor did they mention to people that there was food in the alcove room that included things they would normally cater. I honestly don't think this business will last unless they offer some basic appetizers of some sort and lower their prices a bit. After being at their first location, we decided to have our joint baby shower here. The staff was amazing. The beer selection, amazing. The family friendly ambience, amazing.
