One of my favorite food experiences on this trip to NYC. I chose it as the food I wanted to have one more time on the day I left, getting carry out before taking the train to JFK airport. The online order and pickup process couldn't be easier. The pao de queijo is perfection and deeply satisfying if you like cheese and bread. It's gluten free as it is made with tapioca flour as well. The steak sandwich (I had it with the tapioca wrap) was super flavorful. The Brazilians know how to do meat! The tapioca wrap is okay. Some bits of it are like hard croutons which I don't like crunching on.

We received 4 wonderfully delicious pão de queijo and wow! This is perhaps some of the best pão de queijos I've ever had! And I even lived in São Paulo! So I know a good pão de queijo! I've also had pão de queijos from other spots in NYC, and Tap definitely triumphs them. I heated up the pão de queijos because I cannot eat them cold. I heated them in 350 for about 15 mins. They came out so fluffy and perfectly decadent with cheese. Each pão de queijo gave me 4 bites, definitely not enough!!! I will absolutely be heading over to Tap on the upper west side as soon as I can!

Good spot for a quick lunch not too far from Central Park. It caters to any diet really so parties with mixed dietary needs should try this spot out. I had the smoked salmon egg wrap, my husband the caprese tapioca sandwich, and our daughter had an acai bowl. We got a couple pão de queijos - definitely try the pesto flavor! We enjoyed all our food, everything came out fast. It's a bit cramped inside as far as seating goes but it is NYC after all. Would visit again!

Absolutely the best Pao de Quejo I have ever had in the city! Wow! It was truly so cheesy and incredible.

Great little spot with gluten free sandwiches and cheese bread. We grabbed a quick bite here before seeing a movie in Lincoln Square. My friend swears by the tapioca wraps but I really wanted to try the cheese bread so I had my chicken sandwich on the cheese bread, which was delicious and satisfying despite being on the smaller side. Not a lot of tables and more of a grab and go spot, but a great one at that!

I've tried the cheese bread from here before and it was really good. I got their açaí bowl today and the topping to açaí ratio was really good and it was genuinely one of the best açaí bowls I've had. Service was really good too, the interior is cute. Def go!

I usually don't go to these health food stores / cafe type restaurants, but I decided to give this place a try. It's funny because I deeply associate the TAP acronym with Taiwanese American Professionals. Either way, this place was so much better than I had ever imagined and I will definitely be back. - Traditional Brazilian Cheese Bread - Definitely one of the best cheese breads I've had. I was a bit hesitant on ordering this at first because it seemed like it would just sit in the display case for a long time, but it was delicious! It was very chewy and was filled with cheesy flavors. - Spicy Brazilian Cheese Bread - I thought this was okay, would opt for the original version instead. - Monster Bowl - I haven't had an acai bowl in so long and I really should have it more often because I love it so much. Sure the weather isn't the best to eat this right now because it's windy and cold but the bowl was delicious. I was surprised that at every bite there were still nuts, fruit, and cacao bits to give it a complex flavor and texture profile. - Chicken Club Tapioca Sandwich - I didn't really know what to expect from this very expensive sandwich, but it was so much better than I thought. They essentially formed tapioca into a shell to hold all the ingredients which was very cool. The shell also added a crispiness factor to the sandwich. I thought the sandwich was going to be very flavorless and dry but the tomatoes helped create more moisture and they had cheese coat all over the tapioca. Overall, great experience at Tap and I would come back for more, surprisingly.

What a great find . I was in the city to see a show at Beacon Theater on a Friday evening and we wanted something quick, good, Gluten free and healthy and boy did this hit the spot. The place is small but does have a few tables insides. It's Brazilian. They have these delicious protein smoothies, fruit smoothies, power bowls, Pao de Queijo which are addicting and delicious . The Sandwiches are made out of Pao de Queijo instead of regular bread or wrap. The chicken for my mini sandwich was shredded, full of flavor and not dry! Some item I found were a bit pricy. They had a delicious coconut brownie. Piece was tiny and it was 6.00 . Sandwiches varied in size and price . But everything is made fresh , authentic and Gluten-free safe . It was very tasty! Staff was friendly, service was wonderful. I'd love to go back if I'm In the area!

Obsessed! This place is paradise for someone with a gluten and dairy allergy. Everything is gluten free and they have such amazing vegan cheese to substitute in the sandwiches. The wraps are good but my absolute favorite are the tapioca sandwiches which can be made without the parmesan crust. They have the most insane texture and are unlike anything else I've had. The best combo I've tried so far is the chicken club tapioca with vegan mozzarella. I order it on Uber eats almost every week lol. It can be hard to trust Uber Eats when you have allergies but I totally trust this place and it has become my go-to. Whenever I place an order, they bring it in an orange tap bag with a happy little message written on it for me. Thank you tap!!

I was duly impressed with Berimbau in 2024 and since it was MY night -- that's where we went. (Reservations, btw always warranted.) The Picahana feast ($149) previously included salad. In light of the national cyclosporiasis crisis, they've adapted their menu: steak, corn farofa, heirloom tomatoes and creamed spinach. If you're in NYC and enjoy red meat, visit Berimbau. The Picahana feast feeds three hungry adults, with leftovers. (Note to self: next time request medium rare; medium is a tad too well done.) I enjoyed their creamed spinach a bit more than T and my daughter. It had somewhat of a gummy consistency, more pronounced when the dish cooled. We were in accord with everything else, particularly their Brazillian rolls (pao de Quiejo) and guava/stracciatella dip. Rather than order from the wine list, we brought our own. $40 corkage fee. If you follow our lead, please call in advance. Desserts are small, but rich. Two for the three of us was perfect. We shared carmelized yuca cake with cupaucacu cream and cacau & caju, a satisfying dark chocolate. There are many celebrated steak houses in Manhattan which are often super-expensive and a la carte. While far from cheap, in comparison Berimbau offers a bang for one's buck and the Picahana cut is nothing short of delicious. Service is friendly and on-the-ball. Plus the dining room is very pretty.

My feedback is primarily for happy hour/bar eats. Bartenders are lovely and drinks are great. I had their Old fashioned which was perfectly. Another time I had the cucumber martini, a little to sweet for my taste. Their happy hour wine selection is small but good. I had the red blend from Chile and it was surprisingly smooth. Of late I have been moving away from South American reds - find them too tannin-y but this was one was an exception. Their free Brazilian cheese bread is delicious. Burrata - so so Shrimp tacos - friend loved it. Burger - son loved it. Artichoke, avocado salad - it was pretty good. I am a vegetarian and eat mostly plant based so I wont seek this place out for a special meal but it is definitely an excellent choice for happy hour if you are seeing a play or want a drink after MOMA. Strongly recommend. While the bartenders are great, they are understaffed in the bar. So there is a bit of delay in every step. Not that fault of the workers.

We sat at the cellar dining area and loved the tiles designed dining table. It was a very quiet and intimate environment. We were taken care of very well by the wait staff and they were very knowledgeable of their menu and made great recommendations. We chose to eat family style and ordered a bunch of Sharable Plates and Large Plates. We all fell in love with their Spinach with fava beans, Polvo, and Carne de Porto à Alentejana. As much as I say dont fill up on their Portuguese bread to focus on your main dishes this is one of those few time i disagree as they were amazing and I absolutely loved it especially since it pairs well with the Polvo and Chourico Portuguese Assado. Chourico Portuguese is great due to the table side searing they do and the option of having 1 spicy and 1 non spicy sausage is a great option for people who don't like any heat to their food. The Bolinhos de Bacalhau was great as it was not too salty and the right amount of crunchy. I wasn't too fond of the Arroz de Marisco but I would not say is bad but definitely up to your tastebud if you lose the flavor and the consistency of the rice. Dont skip the roasted potatoes, Spinach with fava beans and shishito peppers for sides as they are wonderful. The Carne de Porto a alentejana was by far the dish i loved the most. The Pork is so tender and juicy but they manage to give it a beautiful crunchy sear on the outside somehow the pork was both sweet and savory. The clam was perfectly cooked I can recommend the dish enough I even used the bread to soak up some of the sauce as it was that good.
