I went this place tonight and I got like a spanish potato pie for $14 plus a soda $3. The food was good tho, but the staff was completely unprofessional. First, the guy dropped things on our table, then when we asked ketchup, they gave to me just a little little to eat the whole pie. During the dinner, I asked a soda, and they completely forgot that. When I almost was finishing, I asked again and I finally got it. I finished my dinner and asked my check. Total changed $17. Of course I didn't gave a tip. But for my SURPRISE, they charged my card 27$. Without my authorization they tipped 10$. Guys, I'll never recommend this place to anyone. No one without your authorization can tipped your card. I'll ask my friend who have a good IG to report this place for all follows. For real. I think the manager from this place should reverse that unauthorized tipped on my card. read more

The seafood paella will cost you an arm and a leg and a 45 minute wait and the beat part is the sad look on your face while eating it will get your wait staff's pity and they'll give you a free sangria when you're done. The music playing on the speakers is a delightful mix of calypso top 40 and blazing fast classic guitar arpeggios that will convince you that you died and went to Barcelona hell. The vibe and ambiance is GREAT and the location is in the heart of SOBE. There are lot of walking shops that surround this place. The FOOD IS AMAZING!!!! We had the mussels and paella de mariscos. The quality of the seafood was PERFECT! We were very impressed with this place! Tapelia is one of the plethora of cafes that line up Lincoln Road, and a decent option to stop for a quick lunch. Occupying the space of a former franchise Spanish sandwich shop, the menu is similar in concept. Like its predecessor, it's fast casual (order at the cashier and they bring your tray over to you.) The cashier was functionally friendly, and I got hit with the dreaded 18% automatic gratuity. I ordered both their Rustic Chicken Sandwich as well as the jamon iberico platter. The sodas came with free refill, but I had to ask twice to get a refill. My iberico platter was generous and the jam had the requisite saltiness. Cheese and a couple slices of serrano, as well as a slice of bread completed my meal. No real complaints there. The reason I'm just making it three stars - other than the automatic gratuity - have to do with the chicken sandwich. The sandwich was mostly greens (the arugula was fresh) with just about 6 small pieces of chicken. There were greens on the side, and I wasn't offered balsamic vinegar or olive oil to finish my salad with. Still and all, it's one of the better places to stop for lunch on the strip. For our meal, we ended up ordering the arugula salad and seafood paella for two with a full lobster as recommended by Sofia, who was such a wonderful server. She was friendly and smiling all the time and constantly asked if we were alright with everything. The paella was very good and was really for two people, maybe more, and there was plenty of seafood. Yummy flatbread Croquetas, different on menu, 2 of the 3 flavors were definitely not our taste although I'm sure they were made well My husband and I went here for a quick dinner the other evening. We have walked past it a zillion times so we thought we should finally try it. They were going to come with 3 different flavors - ham, spinach and cod. We were very excited about the ham and spinach and were going to tolerate/have fun experimenting with the cod. The croquetas came and we were super hungry and we asked our server which ones were which. She told us one was the chorizo, one was the cod and one was the blue cheese. We were confused but thought maybe she was just mixed up, because the menu specifically said ham, spinach and cod. We started eating the croquetas and loved the chorizo one, could only try a bite of the cod one (they were kind of like mushy fish sticks) and we really did not enjoy the blue cheese one. Neither of us are fans of blue cheese and we would definitely not have ordered the croquetas if we knew that they'd come with blue cheese ones. We asked our server if it was maybe a mistake, we thought it was supposed to be ham, spinach and cod, and she told no they are out of that right now, today they have chorizo, cod and blue cheese. It would have been nice to have been told that when we first ordered the croquetas! so we didn't waste over half of our appetizer :/ We ordered one of the flatbread pizzas to share as an entree and this definitely redeemed Tapelia from the croquetas. It was a long mediterannean-style flatbread with tons of flavor. We both really enjoyed, but definitely needed a little more water throughout the meal as the pizza had a bit of spice! We were over charged for our draft beers that were suppose to be on special. We specifically asked the waitress what draft beers were on special. This place is not where you want to go for a good quality Paella. I can't believe they call themselves Paella Masters. If you are reading this and saying to yourself that you love their paella I already know that you have never had Great Paella. The rice was nowhere near flavorful. It was a mushy sticky goo with no texture. We got the seafood version and it smelled so fishy. Fresh seafood does not have a strong fishy smell. I couldn't wait for them to take the dish from the table. The whole dish had no flavor. Hostess walked over and asked how we like it and we said we didn't. She looked in the skillet and said how when you ate it. She paid no attention to the plates that were full on the table and the lack of shells in the bowl they gave us to dispose of our shells. Our waiter came back with two free glasses of sangria. I don't even drink sangria so I just left it there. We haven't tried anything else at this restaurant and we are fair people so we won't say to never go there we just have an opinion about the nasty Paella. read more

The second I saw the food stain on the tablecloth and the hamburger on the menu I knew I should've left. The food was alright but they gave me a couple servings of hair on the side which I would've preferred to not have, and the service was probably the worst service i've ever had in my life. I'm not exaggerating when I say it took almost 30 minutes after we ate to get our checks, and then another 30-45 minutes for the server to come back and grab it. I almost walked out without paying just so someone would come get the check from me. The dish missed all the marks: shrimps were not fresh and the rice were soaked and sticky. The food was not definitely worth price. The tuna bowl was below average. Very disappointing $50 Paella. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else for Paella. It did not taste authentic at all. The rice was soggy and had no flavor. The clams and mussels did not look clean. They put like 3 whole shrimp in, head and all, so if that's your thing go for it. But when I split the head off the shrimp and have to devein it myself, I get grossed out. But it's like they made soggy rice, threw a bunch of seafood and shells on top to make it "look" nice and throw peas on top to give it green. Don't do it! I also came here because the google reviews were at 7,000 reviews at 4 stars. Well guess why? my server and the manager both asked us to give a good review on google and gave us a qr code for the site review. Not a bad strategy for a restaurant but now I understand why the bland food doesn't match the great reviews. The drinks are good though and cheaper at only $8-$10. For some reason they also gave us free Sangria as well. Our server was kind and attentive so no worries about the service. Great service. Bad food. I ordered the classic sangria, calamari and the sea food tapas. My husband ordered coca'a a Mediterranean flatbread. The sea food tapas consisted can tuna, imitation crab meat and two calamari from the calamari appetizer dish and salmon. Salmon tasted pretty old and unpleasant.
