I had told them I changed the fuse multiple times. They said no problem, it will be ready in an hr. $100 and I thought they fixed it. The next day I had the same issue. They weren't open. I used to go to this auto center for all my needs i got my first car and found this place i've been through 4 cars all cars have been fixed by Taps team. This past year i brought in a Toyota for break change and two days later my transmission gave out and when i took it to get check my transmission was drained with no oil. I didn't think anything of it. Later on my other car needed an oil pan change took it again to Tap to fix next day my car was smoking and leaking more oil then previously! I paid almost $800 to get it fixed. I decided to take it to an auto shop recommended to me by family. When check my car basically was untouched nothing was replaced! This auto center had my car for almost 6 hours and nothing was resolved. I don't know what has happened this past year to this auto center but do not go here if you want quality done to your car. Pay the $200 else where to make sure everthing is handled! If i could give zero stars I would. read more

The owner will always get you right, provide good service without the BS, and will welcome anyone with open arms. He's been servicing my 2005 Toyota Prius for about like 8 years now. It's been through ups and downs, and even an accident, but he got every fix, bug, and kink done in about 15 minutes (oil change) to about a week and a half (if you need to order a part for a severe fix). The reason I give this auto repair center is because the owner yell at my elder mom because she said because Tap's - the owner of the auto shop - request that I should have my muffler change and it perhaps I repeat perhaps the reason for my car water-pump or radiator leak. Since me and my mom know nothing about car so we assume that but instead of explaining to my mom in a polite tone, the owner yell at my mom and claim she is insult him. first of all, she not insulting him since she the leak happen after the muffler was replace. other than from making any further judgment on how they deal with stress, it still does not give him any reason to rude to my mom other from this unpleasant experience with my recent car repair, they do a great job except they need to work on getting their tempter in check read more

But just recent he miss understood me all I said to him last time I have him checked the burning smell under my car but he did not see the leaking. He said I only check for the burning, he start to get upset and think i'm accuse him but I talk to him nicely I said I'm sorry I did not accuse you and he said to me don't bring the car to his shop anymore he not going to fix it. I went to Tap's with my cousin (who lives in the area) to check on her dad's car as the battery was old and needed to be replaced. As soon as we got in, Tap came in, turned off the car and turned it right back on all the while scolding us girls that of course the car would have some battery issues since we let it lay around without driving it for awhile. We chose to bite our tongue since we had both just gotten back into the country the night before but after we spoke with her dad, we realized that the car had only not been driven for 3 weeks - which is far too short of a time for a battery to have died. Sure enough, 2 blocks & a lunch later, the car refused to start up. Luckily for us, a good Samaritan decided to help us jump start the car. From just looking at the battery, you could tell it was old and needed to be replaced. When we drove back to taps, this time, the friendly, caring uncle facade was replaced with a disinterested, non-caring attitude of I don't have time for this sh*t and he gave my cousin $100 to get the battery replaced elsewhere. I may not know much about cars, but I do know that a good mechanic stands by his work. Beware of those that don't. read more

This was my first time taking my car here but some of my family members have been going here for a while. Like how the other reviewer mentioned, Phana gave off an uncle like vibe. Heck, I was even calling him uncle too. He gave me a reasonable quote for the parts and installation for the timing belt, water pump, and oil pan gasket. They went to work on my car right away and took them within 5 hours to get the job done. I'm pretty happy with the price and how the car was repaired in a timely manner. The car feel a lot better (bought it used) and it feel like it wouldn't break down anytime soon (knock on wood). I would recommend this shop to any of my friends and family members that haven't been here yet. read more

We definitely recommend Taps and his boys as they do great work for a great price, and they are lovely people. My bf and I took our car here as per a friend's recommendation after being quoted $2,000 somewhere else to fix our fender-bender damage. We were sold when Taps quoted us a much more reasonable $650. He let us drop the car off at closing time on Saturday. He and his employees were super friendly; they ended up sharing a chat and a beer with my bf, then Taps had his son drive my bf home! I picked up the car the following week; they let us keep the car there for 8 days while we went on holiday. The car looked great, he'd even washed it and polished the rims! To sum it up, I would take an old car here. But for a new car, I would look elsewhere. They are really affordable, and the owner is a very nice man who is easy to talk to. He talks to me like an uncle, even though we don't know each other. I've been happy with the work they've done on my old cars (CV boot changes, wheel stud replacement). From my last visit I came here for a simple oil change, my boyfriend told me to come here because he liked how fast the service was and how cheap the pricing was. So, I was like " cool, this should be a deal." Today I'm due for an oil change and they're closed, so I said " okay I'll just go to jiffy lube and let one of my close friends do it and just pay the $20 difference, as he was beginning to change my oil he noticed that my oil panel is messed up and the screws that hold it up were stripped. Since they were stripped they tried to cover it up with some type of silicone and did a horrible job. Thank god I had a friend that told me what's going on and now he's trying to repair it, The auto mechanic at TAP's had one job to do and he did a shitty ass job, but hey I guess you get what you pay for. My husband used to go here to change the tires. We didn't have any other issues with a car untill yestarday, when check engine light turned on. It seemed that the car didn't have a problem, since we know how they sound while driving. He called them yesterday, and they told him to come today. So we went, they diagnose it for free, it was really fast and the most imortant thing that they are honest repair center. Check engine light turned on, cause of fuel cap, we didn't close it how we suposed to. They could rip us off, but they didn't, we will keep coming back here. Great service and honest people! read more
