Coming from originally living in the East Bay and SF, this is a true disappointment in the hype of this place. The consomé lacked a lot of flavor as well as the meat. It's basically just a quesadilla fried with meat. No onions or cilantro included. Needed lots of salt to even be satisfying. Even the green sauce lacked lots of flavor. Couldn't even finish one and we spent $40 for 6 tacos and a rice plate. The rice lacked flavor as well, the carne asada is too tough. Wish the hype of this place lived up to the reviews. read more

You walk in and it's warm inside and it has a certain smell that assures you that great food is being served up. I got two of the Queza Birra tacos with the consome! The food itself was good; however, customer service was a medium. As a new person coming in, it feels good when the cashier or someone working there tells you what's on the menu and what options we have before ordering. It was a younger girl on the cashier, it was really just a order and go not really any type of greeting. For the tacos, I wish they had a little more burst in flavor on the spicer side but that's just how I prefer my food; the green sauce provided on the side helped to bring that flavor. I thought they only offered one meat, till my friend requested chicken in his after I had already ordered; yet again not really a good way of communication between the cashier and customer. I usually prefer chicken over beef if that is available. Overall, food service was pretty fast waited about 5-8 minutes and was good. Do recommend. read more

First and foremost the customer service here was terrible. I walked in and the whole family was sitting at the table and no one acknowledged me. I even said "Hi!" And no one said anything back, I then asked "are you guys even open?" And I'm guessing the daughter of the family responded and said yes we are and finally got up to take my order. The food was terrible as well, my rice and beans were cold and tasted old and they had no flavor. And the barria tacos were only hot because that's the only thing they cook as u order. They were way to cheesy. There was more cheese than there was meat but I honestly have to say they are super packed with meat and cheese. You won't need anymore than 2 to get full. I've been here a couple times for the quesabirria tacos and enjoyed them. Today I got some to take home and they were made with flour tortillas instead of corn. Wtf? Totally different experience since cooked flour tortillas are much softer than corn tortillas - pretty much no crispyness. I can only guess that they ran out of corn tortillas but if that was the case, they should let the customer know that. If you're looking for good quesabirria style tacos that are actually consistent, I recommend getting the barbacoa taco grande from Guadalajara Fruit Bar. read more

If you are in the area and specifically TAFB in Fairfield check out this spot right outside the gate. It's a little hidden but if you drive down Parker Road you'll see it at the end next to our autobody shop of some sort it's family owned and they're very friendly and have some great service the tacos were amazing and the portion size were great they have special so make sure you check it out when you get there they have a pretty good assortment of food you can pick and some different drinks. I called in to order 10 quesabirria tacos, chips, and salsa... the order came with consome & limes. The order took 15 minutes to prepare and the tacos were everything I dreamed of! Not a fan. Chicken tacos were not edible, plain zero flavor chicken tasted boiled. Birria tacos looked amazing but lacked taste and seasoning, VERY bland.
