    Chips and pico de gallo

Excellent weekday happy hour deal for tacos. You can get three different meats; this visit I tried the marinated chicken, al pastor, and carnitas. Each were garnished with diced onions and cilantro. Chips were 75 cents extra and went a long way towards making it a filling meal. The menu has a good selection ranging from breakfast to nachos. Staff was friendly and entertained my questions about what meats they'd recon. I'll definitely be back!

Wet Burrito. Super, half/half red & green salsa, half/half shrimp & asada. Egregious up-charges made this $23.15. Way too pricey.

Portion sizes, and not much else, unfortunately... I ordered the "Wet Burrito," super, with 1/2 asada and 1/2 shrimp, and half & half red/green salsa. It was the size of a small child. Unfortunately, the pros end there. This meal cost $23.12 after tax, as they added an up-charge for shrimp ($1.50) and "extra" asada ($3.50). When I inquired about the surcharge and what was actually included in the $15.49 base price, the cashier shrugged and said the owner told them not to offer "1/2 portions." Note that I did not order "extra," only half & half. There is no logical reason to simply not charge the customer for 1X "full portion" of the more expensive protein, as other chains like Chipotle and many local taquerias have no problem doing.. On quality, I felt the protein was lacking. The steak wasn't very tender, and the shrimp were small. I also felt the protein-to-filler ratio was off, with far too much of the latter, making the $23 price even worse to swallow (pun intended). Finally, both salsas were a touch too sweet and a bit over-salty. I asked about a spicier option like habanero, and the cashier replied that wasn't possible. Odd, for a Mexican taqueria. All in, perhaps if you order something non-customized and with different proteins, you may fare better than u did, but I can't say I'm running back; and I don't suggest you do, either.

I am speaking to the take out service only. The take out was pretty quick right after ordering and they added everything we asked. Now lets get into the food. The super nachos were so good, we asked for asada. As for burritos, i got a big super burrito with cabeza and infortuantely I didnt picture them. Everything was 5/5 and a little gem in pleasanton. Yall better believe this place didnt come to play. Good ambience too!

Decent Mexican fast food at reasonable prices. We had five types of tacos for lunch today, and they were all enjoyable. Crispy chorizo tacos were my favorite ($4.89 each) followed by the beef cheek soft tacos (cabeza - $3.59 each). We also ordered the chicken ($7.49 for two), marinated pork (pastor - $3.59 each) and roasted pork (carnitas - $3.59 each) soft tacos. Total bill was about $35. Will be back to try other menu items.

Quite surprised with the Shrimp Burrito. Delicious. I would prefer less pepper. Chips were stale and they exchanged another bag for me once I walked in and asked. Still stale. I would prefer them not to bag the chips ahead of time. Service was quick for lunch. Ambiance is extremely casual. Simple tales and chairs. Would prefer slightly cleaner floors.

Been here before and the tacos were good but the breakfast burrito is rough. We split a bacon burrito. The bacon was raw and there was a larger eggshell in my half. We both took one bite and tossed it. Woof.

Tried this place with a coworker after our shift and it definitely hit the spot. This is the best taqueria spot I have tried in Pleasanton. They open early and close late! This is not the best taqueria I have had in my life but it's good for for the area. I have not seen any taqueria's in the Pleasanton area. With that being said, the service was okay, the cashier took of us and recommended many items The ambiance was really nice but it did not give me that taqueria vibe to it. The food was great. I ordered the shrimp and carne asada tacos and it was super good l, very flavorful. The restaurant offers a complimentary chips and your choice of salsa from their salsa bar. I also ordered a horchata for a beverage and that was really good as well. Overall I give this restaurant a solid 4/5 star review, will definitely be back to try other dishes and also want to go back for the free chips and order myself a horchata again!

Great tacos! Unpretentious location, serving good food. Is still a bit pricey for tacos, but it's Bay Area standard. The lengua and chorizo were the best! Definitely coming back.

Burritos r mid but I always find smth weird in my guacamole?? Last time I found a big chunk of hardened avocado that I couldn't bite but I let it go bc it's not a big deal but tell me why I found a avocado peel in my super burritos idk it's weird. it's not enjoyable finding that in ur food

I've been waiting for this location to open for awhile. I've been watching the restaurant come alive as I live a block away and drive past it every day! I've been to their Martinez location and have enjoyed their happy hour tacos (3 for $6) and their burritos. They have a free salsa bar but they do ration the chips- gotta order an entree to get a small basket. They don't skimp on the meat. delicious! The service was kind. I love seeing a hustle, and only being open for two days, very excited that there were a nice tempo of patrons eating in and taking out. This shopping center needs a taqueria and glad it's this local franchise!

I wouldn't expect traditional Mexican food coming here because it's definitely more of a Cal-Mex fusion! The presentation, ingredients, ways of preparing are different and I love that :) Asada Fries ($25): I enjoyed this much more than I expected, and I thought I would bring some home...I didn't. The ranch and BBQ sauce surprised me, but the flavor profile worked! Also loved the shape of the sidewinder fries, kind of like c-shaped wedges. Crispy Plantains ($14): I enjoyed these dipped in sour cream! It came with a lot, so I would for sure save some to eat with vanilla ice cream at home :) My friend got a side of black beans ($8) with it which she said was okay; I think she was thrown off by them being drowned in water lol Our server was lovely even as the evening got busier. As our organizer mentioned, they were fully booked that night so do reserve early. Warm earthy tones in the decor made for a comfortable, inviting atmosphere and the light jazz ensemble and lovely vocal performances elevated the evening's experience. The ambiance is a strong point. Being a paella newbie, I definitely looked forward to tasting a version especially after watching cooking shows over the years. The saffron broth rice nicely counterbalanced the seasoned shrimp, sausage and other ingredients. Thumbs up. I had several portions. The tempura cauliflower - good. KR Enchiladas were cheesey and rich, plumply filled, and the accompanied rice accented with corn. Since we shared the three enchiladas, my small piece was enough for me. Suggest passing on the sourdough side that came with the paella. The bread had melted, but cooled cheese on it and there was not much free broth in the paella to soak therewith anyway. With water being the group's primary beverage, perhaps request a carafe of water at the table to ease the thirstier folks (me). Our wait person gave helpful suggestions and efficient service. The rest of the staff had hustle. As normal with live music, be prepared to raise your voice and repeat yourself in conversations. Parking is ample, with a short walk, in this Nob Hill Foods shopping center.

They gave us two cups of free tortillas, a self-serve, generously stocked salsa bar. The food came out pretty quickly, and that's when we realized just how much we ordered! Plates were huge and both the dishes came with beans and rice. The fajitas plate was $20.88 and could easily serve two people, it came with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomato slice, meat and veggies, and beans and rice. The chile relleno wasn't as crispy as I'd hoped, since it was drenched in sauce, but it did have a nice cheese pull. So, I ordered my usual fish taco and shrimp taco with a Corona at the counter. There is a small chips and salsa bar next to the counter. Oddly, they provide VERY small paper bags to hold a few chips. That wasn't going to work for two hungry adults so I asked for a basket. That turned out to be an awkward ordeal. The owner/ manager ( not sure who) made kind of big deal about how "special" I am to be the only customer who gets a basket. We both thought it was awkward and rude at the same time lol. They have two small rooms to sit at a table. The tv was turned up when we were half way through the meal. It was much too loud for the small space. Another weird event. We couldn't wait to leave. Outdoor seating? There are a few small tables in the front of the restaurant, but the road noise was too loud for that option. Impressions The tacos were bland and unappetizing. I was very surprised how they lacked flavor. My husband had some kind of ala carte plate. He loves Mexican food! It was a disappointing meal for both of us. Suggestions The customer is the focus so you earn return visits. I think that was lost to the staff on this particular day. It's not a big deal to offer a bowl or basket for chips. If you have customers, especially who aren't watching tv, turning the volume up for the employees to hear is not going to make a good impression.
