Tacos tacos tacos! Heard about this place from friends who are fans of the Taco Tuesdays here. On the first visit, I was welcome in and immediately received kind and attentive service at the counter. Chose to get a plate to go that included a drink. Two asada tacos, beans, rice, and a cucumber lemonade. Tacos were so tasty! Beans and rice were good and the cucumber lemonade was refreshing. For the hubby, got him 2 birria tacos, beans and rice. Excellent! Came back within the same week and ate in the small seating area. There are two tables and chairs and seating area against the wall. Great service at the counter again and delicious eats! Asada nachos were on point. I was a curious about the chicharron tacos and got those. Hubby tried the al pastor taco and an encore of the birria tacos. Everything is delish! This taqueria is located in a strip mall across from Starbucks on Carson Street and among other businesses. So it's shared parking in a busy lot and we managed to get a space. According to the gal at the counter, they have been in business for about a year now. What initially drew me into this restaurant was their unique "surf and turf" taco trio set! For around $12 which I thought was very reasonable. I asked if they could make them into crispy tacos and they said yes! Excellent service. I was charged around $2 more to "load them up" which I'm assuming was the lettuce, cheese, and tomato and I'm glad I did. Everything was up to standard and the flavors were all there. The proteins were seasoned nicely and the meat/shrimp portions were not skimped whatsoever. I will be returning, I'm excited to try their chilaquiles and everything else in between. Be warned though, my crispy tacos did get a little soggy when I made it home--but that's my fault since the trio originally is not meant to be crispy. Still relatively new to my work area, I have been on a breakfast burrito kick in the mornings! I came across this lil gem and decided to order a bacon, egg, cheese, potato, and bean burrito. This thing was packed with flavor and also the salsa was one of the best in the business! The portion size was just right, although I found it to be a tad too pricey at 12.49 incl tax. As for the establishment itself, it's a small hole in the wall located in an old strip mall. Parking is a little congested but still found plenty of parking at the time of day that I went. The employee was very friendly and warm. Dining area is small but there are a handful of tables and a counter to sit at. I am definitely looking forward to coming back here and ordering lunch! read more

I'm so glad that I heard about this little mom and pop Mexican food place shortly after they opened. Anytime refried beans and rice actually have flavor and tastes good, I'm sold! Carne asada is not fatty which is another plus. I tried the birria tacos which contain a small amount of fat, but meat is very tender. I also like the crispy potato tacos and appreciate salsa on the side for to-go orders. Since I found out they sell chips & salsa, I haven't stopped going. Good for them, bad for me! Lol So-so: chicken tacos For some reason, I do not like the taste of the chicken used. This is rare because chicken is all I usually buy outside of non-meat items. Agua frescas and Jamaica are VERY sweet!! For me, the sugar content is way too much so I get canned soda with my combos. Beware if you are diabetic!!! Overall, I give this place 8/10. So we've gone three times in total. I still consider it a good taco place. But it's never been as good as the first time. The issue is the consistency. Example, the first time we went the birria tacos had sauce inside, but not the two follow up times. Or the first time the fish taco had white sauce, but then the next time it was a pink spicy sauce. It's always good, but I don't quite know what to expect each time I go now. It's a newer restaurant, so hopefully they improve the consistency soon. read more

I stumbled upon this place looking for a quick lunch, and now I can't stop coming back. The tacos are amazing and are seriously some of the best I've had for the price. I tried the lengua, chicharrón, and gobernador taco combo, and each one was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. The lengua was tender, the chicharrón had just the right crunch and was not greasy like most other places, and the gobernador was rich and satisfying (great shrimp to cheese ratio). You can tell they use quality ingredients, and everything tastes super fresh. Fast service, great portions, and unbeatable prices. Taqueria Las 3 Charras ... or what I lazily abbreviate: TL3C like a hypochondriac accidentally saying "TLC" when selling people bootleg CDs for a TLC album. ANYWAYS! .... I went here recently thanks to one of my awesome neighbors mentioning it (much love and thanks, Ash!) and I definitely wanted to check it out! It's in a strip mall that has a Starbucks that used to be Carson's Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles back in the days....so instant nostalgia right there. Parking is very ample and free around here. The actual building spot is small, but has a big heart when it comes to the cool customer service and food. The FOOD.... Okay... I tried their Birria taco and their Ensenada Fish taco because the workers said it's the bombbbbb. They weren't lying! Both were filled with flavor without them even being oily or tasting fatty. The ladies who took orders were some of the nicest and most welcoming people as well. Their food has a food truck mixed with a homely gourmet taste and feeling, which makes it stand out from other traditional spots. Really disappointed to say the least. Ordered the basic Burrito Asada and chips. How could you go wrong with that? Well, they found a way... a few ways. 1. Asada was not good quality. Pretty low quality. As someone else they skimped on the meat. The person who rolled the burrito either doesn't know how to roll one or they didn't care - rice and beans were mostly on one end and the small amount of meat was on the other end. I know that's nitpicky but it is the details that show how they care or don't even if it is 'just' a burrito. 2. The chips were the absolute worst I've ever had at any restaurant. No exaggeration. The chips were double fried and the oil tasted old. I used to work at a fast food for years so I know. They had been sitting for a while and you could see all the oil still - that's how you could tell they were double fried other than the terrible taste. Tostitos would've been better. 3. The thumbnail size containers for their sauces were ridiculously small. Complete waste of money. I may try again but I doubt it. Lowered the rating due to crappy defensive response from manager. If I'm you, I look into the situation rather than be defensive and tell me what should be. I don't care what "should" be - it wasn't. Simply your CHIPS ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST I'VE EVER EATEN... Small, quaint, family run taqueria. The cashier was attentive and service was quick. This was my first visit so I ordered three different tacos and they did not disappoint. - Cabeza: The meat was very moist and tender, with a rich beefy flavor. - The Chicharron was crispy and savory. - The Birria was complex with a blend of spices for a deeply savory, tangy, and smoky flavor. The consomé, was a flavorful, savory. I also received a quesabirria taco instead of a regular birria taco like I ordered. They offer daily specials, and the food was absolutely delicious. My wife and I tried a variety of tacos. The birria tacos and chicharrón were my personal favorites, while my wife really enjoyed the crunchy tacos and the asada. What really made the experience stand out was the service. Alma and her staff were friendly, efficient with orders, and had such a welcoming attitude--it truly made the experience feel more personal and unique. Second visit we tried a torta and a lengua burrito, then OK, this spot is one of the better taco spots. The burrito and torta was really good. The owner, Alma, is the heart and soul of this place. Her kindness and generosity clearly set the tone, and it shows in every interaction. The food is incredible. The tacos are made with high-quality meats that you can taste in every bite, and the aguas frescas change daily, each one better than the last -- fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with love. But while the food alone is reason enough to come back, the true magic is the people. One moment that really stuck with me: a couple of kids came in trying to sell apples, and instead of turning them away, Alma bought all the apples -- just so she could give them out to customers. Yeah, it's just deliciousness being served here. I've ordered carne asada, al pastor, carnitas and cabeza tacos for my family and contractors working at my house and everyone is happy. This is a small family business so you need to be patients and get your timing right because they get busy (righty so). The consistency of the flavors is on point and they are always kind. My only negatives would be the guacamole doesn't taste fresh despite their ability to season it up with fresh ingredients. Given the state of the world and them being a small business I totally get it. I only ordered it once in the months I've been eating here and honestly with their seasoning I rarely even need their salsa or any condiments so don't hold that guacamole against them. I'm so glad they are here in the community for a reliable and tasty go to option. Sometimes I get sad on Sunday or if I want tacos past 8pm but then i remember this is a real family business and they deserve a break like everybody else so they can continue providing tasty food. read more

This is mine and ny co-workers go to lunch spot! I've personally had the carne asada and birria tacos and they are bomb. I love that the aqua fresa flavors change daily and you can sample them if you're unsure which drink to choose. All of the workers here are so friendly and make you feel like family. Checked out the new local lunch spot. Had a couple of visits. Not quite a 5 star for me. The good: As a lot of fast food places have raised their prices, this place is fairly reasonably priced. Food is fresh and flavorful. Staff is great and friendly. The bad: A very small, tight space with little room (limited seating, 3 tables - more of a takeout place), when they are busy - people are lined up out the door. You may get a single person who may takes up one whole table. Service is a little slow - the wait for the food generally takes longer than expected and not a lot of space to stand and wait for your food. Had a few tacos (small street taco size) that were extremely greasy, dripping with oil. Carne asada burritos that had a couple inedible pieces of tough meat. Parking spots are a little tight for larger vehicles. Good, but not great in my opinion. read more
