FREAKING SUPER TARGET IN LA!! I'll say that slower -- SUUUPPERRRR TTTAARRRGGEETTT. Yes, that means there's a full on grocery store in target. Not the crappy few aisles of basic groceries. FULL ON GROCERY STORE. I haven't had a super target since I left Kansas in 2004. I missed you! So... we just moved to a new place and we're pretty much equal distance to this target and the jefferson target. But, considering this is a, let me say it again, SUPER TARGET (BBIISSHHESS!), this is where I've gone to get all our new house stuff. So far, I've been twice (in less than a week) and filled my shopping cart up to the brim. Not even kidding. Actually, my shopping cart was overflowing both times. Gotta love moving. You always need SOMETHING. Because the something you need and probably already have, is packed away in some box and it's easier to buy a new one than unpack. (Okay, yes, I'm that wasteful). Nitty Gritty: 1) New carts. Super light and roomy. 2) HUGE. OMFG Huge. Almost TOO huge. 3) CLEAN and ORGANIZED. Every time I've gone the employees have been restocking/reorganizing. 4) Speaking of employees, they're super nice. Almost TOO nice. Every single one of them that I passed said hello and offered help. *Gasp* 5) Parking has been pretty easy. Though I still continue to turn into the wrong parking lot area... have to exit back onto the street... then back into the parking lot area. However, this is coming from a girl who has gotten lost going the 3 miles to this target and back home, BOTH times, because I've pretty much lived in the SGV my entire LA life and when it comes to this side of town I'm hopeless. Maybe it's time to buy a GPS from Target next time I'm there... read more

The layout of this Target is a bit different from the ones in the valley but it's still cool. They have a lot of cheap dog toys here (ranging from 99cents-8.99) compared to other pet stores ($5-$15 wtf) & when I was in line this girl waved me over even though her shift was over. AWWW, that was super sweet of her. I also like that it's RIGHT NEXT to the parking structure. hooray! read more

Ok, so since my first review a year ago, I have been back to this Target at least a dozen times. I did figure out the parking and it's not all that difficult. I usually park on the roof level and take the escalator down. My favorite part of the shopping experience is when you put our shopping cart in the shopping cart escalator so it can ride next to you on your way up. This Target is pretty well-organized and it's also next to a decent food court so it's good choice when you're hungry as well. But really, the only reason I like this Target more than the other one in Culver City is its plastic shopping carts. Those are a total life changer since I'm not a cart pusher but rather a side cart puller. read more

Just because it's new doesn't mean it's not a Tar-ghetto. And I "get" how hiring people who live in the area is important to community economics, but at what expense? The work ethic of the local hires is as depressing as the community itself; I waited in line for over 30 minutes here in the middle of the day when no backup of the line was needed. The best part was the privilege of having my ears invaded by the locals behind me, click-clacking their "ain't no"'s & "on't"'s. Dude, it's 2011. With all the $ LA Unified is dumping into its Title I schools, there's NO excuse for Ebonics outside of jest. One local even yelled at a Caucasian lady (filtered in from Westchester--jk/lol) who was taking her sweet time at the checkout, placing one item at a time on the conveyor belt & scrutinizing each prior. I have been trying to buy a bicycle for 2 weeks. I have the bike picked out. They have the bike I want. But every time I go there, the "bike guy" isn't there. And none of the other employees know how to change a bike seat, or even how to get a bicycle down from the display. None of these employees I've talked to know where "bike guy" is, or when he comes in. They are all vague and weird and unprofessional. It's as if their trying to hide something, like that they bike guy doesn't really exist, or that he's in the back shooting up drugs. Target, word of advice: don't hire someone to do the bikes, just teach several of your usual floor people how to get a bicycle down. No doubt you've lost sales on this. I'm sure there are people who when told "The guy who can do that isn't here, come back tomorrow," would not come back, and would just go to a bike shop or Walmart so they could purchase a bicycle the day they intended to do it. read more

This has become our main Target. There are lots of different goods & bad's, however I'd probably say the bad's outweigh the good's. They have "their own" lot, which sits above the store. Parking for the mall is hectic, but you can typically find parking by Target, you just have to be willing to walk a bit. Customer service is hit or miss. We've had some absolutely terrific experiences & some experiences that left us shaking our heads. The lines are typically very long, especially on the weekends. They have TONS of lanes, however they seem to only have 4 or so lanes open at 10am on a Saturday, it's insane! There's another Target down the street about a mile and I'd say this one is definitely better than that Target. Parking here is A LOT easier & the customer service is better at this location. Other than that, I wouldn't say either location is a great location. read more

The customer was searching for a confirmation number...so the employee helping her decided to pull out her phone and start texting while her customer looked for a confirmation number. I already love Target. I mean, where else can you spend exorbitant amounts of money upon entrance for things that you actually need but don't really? Anyhow, BFF and I were wasting time before class and in search of the aforementioned (in my Best Buy review) Golden Girls DVDs. Lo and behold, not only do they have them here, but they have them in a combo pack! Saaaaaaaaaweeeeeeeeeeeeeet! This Target was very clean. I even had to visit their facilities and was amazed at the cleanliness of the entire restroom overall. My other favorite part of this Target is that there is a Starbucks inside. Nothing great about this Target... everything is shiny and new here. I don't feel the same homeness as the Target I live near even though that's not as new. It feels kinda sterile in here. Anyway I have a funny story to share. I went to the bathroom and I was there with two young women, one was a mom. There were only 2 stalls available and they used both. They came out and I went into one of them. As I did I heard one say, "Hahaha there is a used pregancy test in the bathroom that someone stole and used there... It's probably was a teen terrified and trying to hide it from her parents, LOL. Yikes!" I saw it, it was lying in the corner. Couldn't tell what the answer was (didn't pick it up... ew). read more

I really like this Target, mainly because of the ample parking space in its parking structure or in the adjacent lot. This Target is part of the Westfield mall, and as such, shares its space with the mall. What I like is that it is easy to navigate, clean, and has plenty of selection. What I don't like is that because it is in the mall, you get a lot of looky-loos that hold up lines and aisles and it makes going to Target a bit of a hassle. Getting to the bathrooms, which are located in the front, are a hassle as well because many people crowd right there due to checkout being in the same area and many mall people stopping there to use the bathroom. read more

NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! Came here recently and wish I hadn't. I'm not from this area but I stopped by because the traffic back home (according to my Google map app on iPhone) was 8 hours!!!!!! It should only take me about 25 minutes to get from this side of town back to the Valley (yeah, 25 minutes- not 1 hour- sans traffic). Well I stopped by for some errands and it was such a headache! This store is so unorganized! And what I mean by that is that there were tons of labels and items in the wrong spots. For example, I was looking for some portfolio folders with prongs. Those folders were in the pile with the label that read, "portfolio folders" while the portfolio folders WITHOUT prongs were in the pile with the label that read, "portfolio folders with prongs". WTH!!?!?!?!? SO CONFUSING! I also needed a notebook with graph paper. They didn't have any!!!! Not one! Just refills but not an actual folder. To top it off, when I made it to the check out line, the cashier was sooooo slow! When I got in line, I was the third person in line and somehow it took me 30 minutes to finally pay! Oh man, seriously the worse headache ever! NEVER coming back! read more

Quality depends on the department. PHOTO "DEPARTMENT" - AVOID at all costs! Would rather give this section a negative star...they are totally UNRELIABLE. I have prints messed up, some turn out okay. Today, however, they said the e-mail that told me my prints were ready was an automated e-mail that is set 10 minutes after you click "upload" and that their machine was broken and I would not be getting any of the pictures I needed for an event tonight. HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT! Pharmacy - AWESOME! They bend over backward to help - even without a prescription. LINES - Seasonal lines are HORRID. Non-holiday time is usually fine. STARBUCKS - SO convenient! Not the same service you would get in an stand alone store...but I'll take it! GROCERIES - produce lasts longer in the fridge than what you would buy in a regular store. Target, seems to have everything you could think of needing, plus some. We always end up finding more than we probably need here. A lot of the times we'll decide last second we should stop with the impulse buys, but at the same time, we'll get things we had been needing for a while... Of course, very competitive prices here as well. By the way, their credit card machines are FAST here! One swipe, about a second, the transaction's already processed, and you're on your way! For a Target located in a mall this store is quite big and definitely has a better-than-average selection of merchandise and is almost always well-stocked. You would expect that a Target store in a mall would have higher prices than a free-standing store but such is not the case with the Westfield Culver City mall Target store as the prices are definitely reasonable and comparable to those of other Target stores. The lines can become quite long during peak hours and during the Christmas season/holiday season but all in all this is a great Target store and I do like shopping here. It was very stressful trying to check out of here from the front because there where so many people and very few cashiers to check them out. This is one of my preferred Targets because parking is free! Back east parking is always free at Target stores because they are in suburban areas. None of this 2 hours free and then pay to park like some of the LA Targets. The mall in which the Target is located is pretty mediocre so I only go here if I am going to Target specifically. The aisles are usually well organized and the selection is pretty good from kitchen items to clothing to cleaning supplies. That's the beauty of Target, it truly is a one stop shop. Peak times are of course annoying because of all the cars and pedestrians. Inside the store and outside can be crowded. Go toward closing or early! read more

You'd think this would be a great place for a Target and add to the convenience (especially if you don't like the other location down Jefferson). It's an odd location however, and there's no way to access it other than from inside the mall. This means if you park outside, you have to come in, walk to the end of the mall, get your stuff, carry your stuff back to the other end of the mall, and back out to your car. That's assuming you don't stop anywhere else along the way. For the types of stuff people buy at Target, I'd think it would make more sense to be able to walk your cart back to your car to load it up easier. This just didn't make much sense to me. read more

OMG, As someone who LOVES the very idea of going to Target I am so sadden whenever I am forced or find that I have no choice but to come to this one.. They never seen to have there stuff together or anything I happen to be looking for for that matter I have given them chances to redeem themselves but it just never seems to happen.... Everything is either out of stock or at a different target, or they can't seem to find the barcode number the staff really isn't that helpful since most of the time they don't know which merchandise they are currently selling, there main concern is making sure they look good just in case they run into someone famous... Which I get it we live in Cali and everyone is trying to be someone but sometimes it would be helpful if they new where the Crockpots were located.. So i guess if you need me ill be at the other Target trying to find what I'm looking for.. Prices are ok.......some great bargains at times...depending on what you're looking for....if you are looking for some help....prepare for the possibility of disappointment.... At the checkout the customer service is great....they are friendly and generally wearing a smile!! (R -?) was quite helpful and transported my chair all the way to my car only to find out it wouldn't fit. The store was a mess. Softlines was a disaster. Clothes and hangers on the floor. Merchandise was not organized at all. They have tons of go back carts all over the place. The TL Queenie is rude and nasty and needs to learn how to talk to customers in a professional and polite manner. She was trying to explain something to me as if I was some illiterate child. She then explained that the other team lead doesn't really know ALL the policies because he oversees the floor and isn't on the register that often so whatever he said wasn't true. I'm a store manager at a local retail store and as a leader I would never speak negative about a co worker especially a team leader to a client. read more

This Target is terrible for one of the people who work at self checkout was rude, I needed help because cartwheel wasn't working and the man had an attitude. The second but most important thing is the fact that I bought some gloves and they were dirty and used and a worker must have used them because the bar code still scanned either way it was disgusting. I spoke to a customer service person but they did not seem a bit concerned almost like it was normal to sell used products. read more

Pro: Free parking, large space, food (Which Which) and drink (Starbucks) options. Cons: Often crowded and messy aisles. Expect to almost run over children playing on the climbing area right outside the front doors. The best time to go is early morning and they also offer order online and pickup in store. Give it at least 2 hours to have it ready for pickup. This is a good way to get something immediately if you see a deal online. read more

This Target is huge. I love that it's located in the "Fox Hills Mall". Very convenient! You can get pretty much anything at Target... clothes, shoes, bags, jewelry, electronics, books, movies, toiletries, groceries, furniture, small appliances, bedding. It's a one stop shop... and the pricing is pretty good. They also have a mini food court and a Starbucks. The only downside to Target (all Targets in general) is that you cannot simply walk in to a Target and walk out with less than a $100 worth of stuff. Maybe it's just me though ;) read more

Considering all the Food, Drug, and Mass retail store options, Target is my favorite. Not this location necessarily, but Target. Friendly employees, good selection, and great price - very close to WalMart, but without the sketchy elements. This Target is fairly new, and the negative aspects of this location can also be a positive, I guess. It's located in the mall, which is great if you need to find other ancillary things, but, it's a pain if you are shopping for a lot of stuff. It takes about 5 minutes to get from your car into the actual Target store. Again, a huge pain! This particular location is not super crowded, which is a positive, yet their variety is expansive. read more

Aside from a shortage of shopping carts (or employees to grab them from the parking lot more frequently) this is one of the better Targets around. Starbucks, Concession stand with Pizza & Popcorn, plus the nearby food court in the mall, and the mall itself with Best Buy and other stores means I am more tolerant of my wife's long visits to this place. Way, way better than the one in Torrance and about equal with the one on LaBrea. read more
