i know it has a low average. but, i like this place a lot. it's my favorite Target. first and foremost, the parking is easy. rooftop parking almost always readily available. except during the holidays, of course. dont' wast your time parking anywhere IN the garage area. there's an elevator and an escalator to get you down to the Target level from the parking area. they even have one of those shopping cart roller coaster things at the elevator to give you more options to manuever with it. this Target is very well stocked. for the most part, i've been even been able to look for stuff on the internet and find it available at this store. always clean and even during those busy holidays, stuff was not just laying around on the floors nor were the aisles disheveled. i always see employees milling around, but, in a good way, making sure everything is in order. i know, i may be the minority with this perception. the prices are awesome here. their produce section is pretty good and bountiful. i like that they have motion lights on the freezer section so as to be more green. i've never waited crazy long to check out of here. then again, i'm not an impatient person and try to avoid coming here unless i know i have time to devote to having a "Target Day". my favorite Target. read more

I ended up going to buy the pieces back at another Target in a smaller size. Service here from the fitting rooms to the return guy were fast and professional. I've been to targets throughout the U.S and Canada (when they were there). This one was the most disorganized and messy Target I have ever seen. It looks like they were short staffed, the managers were all on vacation for a week and nobody restocked or straightened anything in the store for a week. There was stuff all over the floor, it looked like the store had been looted. I did see two team members folding and hanging stuff. I felt badly for them, the store would take a full day of all hands on deck to get it to look like it should. This store needs immediate attention. It was almost comical. read more

I came for a pick up order and waited 25 min. They kept saying it was in the basement or they are coming from the basement. It was ridiculous. Then they said they were looking for it. So unorganized and a mess. I'm not ordering anything for pick up here again. The order pickup people were on their phones and looking at videos. Then an elderly woman lost her keys and an employee said,"do you remover where you might have left them?" She said,"no" then he continues with"that might be a problem" instead of helping her look for them or retrace her steps they just stood there. read more

I love Target but my wallet hates it. I feel like I always walk out of Target stores with way more items than I had initially planned to get. So why the two stars? This rating pertains only to this location because the lines at this location are super long and the store is always crowded. Also, there have been numerous times where I've come to this location to get items and have found them to be entire sold out. I thought it was Target's job to keep their shelves stocked... This is not the best target in town. I think the Manhattan Beach location is much better. But this is closer to my home. So I shop here quite often, I love their good value. I never ever ever go to Walmart. That store is the worst. So target is my new discount shopping for household items, cleaning supplies, even groceries. The workers here are lazy and use their phones in between isles all the time. They try to avoid I contact so they don't have to help customers. Not sure how many times I've asked for help searching for an item, they of course pull their phones out to search for the item, which ends up being incorrect. Searching for items on your phone is never correct , I've found items employees said weren't there... plenty of times . My friends and family have done the same ! please get better hardworking employees.. all targets seem to hire the wrong workers ! Phones shouldn't be allowed on the floor . read more

Okay so any Target is better than no Target, however this Target is seriously the worst one I've been to. And I've been to more than I could ever count, in various states around the country. Let's start with the lines. They're atrocious. From the wait at the Starbucks here to the actual checkout lines, it's too much of a zoo to be enjoyable. The store itself is a mess. I've been noticing on recent trips that it gradually seems to get worse and worse every time I go in there. There are carts full of inventory blocking aisles, shelves that are empty or have items that are completely out of place and thus have the wrong pricing info, and the selection of merchandise is poor compared to other locations. I can't tell you how many times I find something on a store shelf here only for it to ring up at a completely different price at the register. It is very frustrating. What has really pushed me over the edge, though, is on my most recent visit I attempted to make a return. I buy packages of cellophane bags regularly from Target, to use in my business. They come in packages of 20. I had stocked up on a whole bunch of them, only to realize when I got home that I bought the packages of 15 rather than 20, by accident (I didn't even realize they were sold in 15-counts until this incident). So I brought them back to the store to return them, as I need the packages of 20. I provided my receipt. The clerk said the bags I were returning were not on the receipt, and that the receipt was for 4 packages of 20-count bags. How ironic. I explained I THOUGHT I was getting the 20-count bags, but ended up with the 15 ones and that was the reason for my return. She said the bar-codes didn't match, which doesn't make much sense to me since that is the receipt I was given at the time of purchase. I then had her look up my purchase using my RED Card. She said nothing came on on there either - another lie, as I only EVER use my Red Card when I shop at Target so that I get 5% off. She said there was nothing she could do except offer me store credit which was only - get this - 75 cents!!! HAHA obviously not worth it. When I asked her why each bag would only give me a 75 cent credit (far less than the $2.50 cost per bag) she said it was because there was no proof of purchase from Target - lady, I just gave you my receipt, Red card, AND there's the simple fact that this product is EXCLUSIVE TO TARGET!!! Utter incompetence. It was such a low cost item, I didn't take it further, though it is not about the cost - it is the principle that the customer is always right, and this store just doesn't get that. I am positive that they were mistaken in this instance, and it was very frustrating. If I hadn't had my toddler with me, I probably would have waited around and requested to argue my point with the manager because I knew I was right. But monetarily it wasn't worth it, so I just left without making the return. I won't be shopping at this location any longer. read more

i was debating on making this review but i will now because im upset. I went in today i did multiple transaction just because they had stuff to get the promos they had going on. Anyways my last transaction i did it at a register with a cashier. Okay girl first of all how you going to randomly stop me and ask for a reciept??? I visited this Target on Saturday morning. As I'm walking around the store I'm looking for camping gear. So I see a team member and ask her where can I find camping gear to my surprise she doesn't speak English. Then she proceeded to talk to me in Spanish. I don't quite understand if you're on the sales floor you need to be able to communicate with every customer in the store. Something else that I don't understand is that I applied for a seasonal position and didn't get it. I was asked two questions and that was it. Everyone needs a job but to be able to communicate with everyone!! read more

I'm from out of town on a getaway and my headphones stopped working. Ugh, so there I went, making my way down the busy streets of Venice to make my way to the nearest Target. I had no idea it was a part of a large mall complex. It was a Sunday and everybody and heir mom was there at the same time, so I thought I'd be trapped in Target for forever. I made my way to the electronics department and got what I needed. The man was friendly and helped me right there at the counter in the electronics department. I was out of there quickly. The store itself is your run-of-the-mill Target. Nothing particularly special. I was just glad to be out of there quickly. read more

Manager Brian is always so understanding and helpful! However... my recent experience with Daisy at the exchange and return center was so horrible I wanted to write a review. Daisy was incredibly rude, not sympathetic and incredibly stern and brass in her approach and demeanor. I walked in with a wonderful attitude and departed stained by her negative energy. After requesting to return an item with which I had the card that it was purchased she very sternly said no that's the policy I can't help you. I informed her that Brian had helped me YESTERDAY with the exact same situation and she continued with her Attitude. She blankly stared at me and told me no. Her approach seemed as though she refused to help me before I even spoke. It doesn't hurt to crack a smile... lol. I hope her day gets better! Why this store gets one star: -The prices at this store are higher than online. It's ridiculous. Why would I buy face wash here for $6.50 when I can get it for $4.99 from your competitor? And why would I pay $7.49 for your Every Man Jack body wash in a 6.9 oz when I can get it online for $5.00 in a 16.9 oz? -I was looking for a specific item and their website claimed it was in stock. So I go there and it's out of stock and the worker I question claims it's at another store (yet it was only showing up at this store online) -They have trouble keeping certain items in stock -It's in a mall, so it's a pain to park -I really don't like the type of people who shop here, either. I come to this target all the time because it's so close to home and today is the first time I have ever received horrible customer service. I went to the order pick up line because there has always been two lines. I pick up orders every other day. Jaqueline was on register. There was one lady on the returns line when I joined the order pick up line. Jacqueline saw me in the order pick up line and said nothing. She began taking all the guests in the regular line and ignored me. She didn't ask me any questions or anything. Until I finally spoke up after several guests have gone ahead of me when I had been standing there for 10 minutes. I asked her if she wasn't taking from the order pick up line and she said I'm suppose to be in the other line. I ask her well you have seen me standing her and didn't say anything to me and she continued to ignore me and scanned my order pick up barcode and threw my items down on the counter. She didn't acknowledge or say I'm sorry or anything. I grabbed my items and left. The first thing I noticed when I looked in my bag was that my item was damaged. Please move her to another department. She does not know how to speak to customers and is beyond rude. Left a horrible taste in my mouth. I will be ordering from other targets instead. read more

After ordering an item online I came in two days ago on a Monday night at around 8pm after receiving a txt that my item was ready. I don't have the Item and the money is still taken out of my account. When I called to confirm that my item is ready no one answered the phone. After arriving the woman at the counter seemed very disinterested in helping. She asked for my ID and after punching it into the machine shook her head saying she doesn't see my item and proceeds to talk to her coworker. She told me I probably came to the wrong location. I pulled up my confirmation page with the address and she seemed lost and stated once again my order is not ready. She says item is not ready if i have not received an email. I never received an email from target but I did receive a txt saying my item is ready, after showing it to her she suggests the item is canceled and they should have emailed me to let me know. Again, I never received a cancellation email or any email from target. She asked for an order number and I pull up the txt I received, she punched in the order# ready to shake her head and I point to my name as it is the only name left on her screen and she tells me it has been canceled. At this point I am fairly annoyed and I asked her if she has the item in stock and without even checking she replies no and goes onto talking with her coworker and her customer and just left me standing there. I regain her attention asking about the money they took from my account and she says it should be refunded....... I am still waiting. read more

This was the Jefferson Blvd store south, not Sepulveda Complaint #1. Went there today. A large line of about 50+ was formed out front in 80 degree weather with no provided shade. There was a pregnant woman with her two toddlers waiting in the heat. It moved quickly but still they need to place some pop up tents when lines are that big. This is July 18 when all stores have reopened. Complaint #2 I used self checkout. I paid cash but it gave me wrong change. I asked the gal standing near she signed in and saw it was out of coins and said the manager will come by with the diff in change. Complaint #3 I waited and this young girl showed up and gave me coins which still wasn't enough. I mentioned this as I placed out my hand with what she gave me. She said very rudely I gave you the right change. I said you didn't and counted with her what was in my hand. Again she rudely repeated herself. By now it's not about the small coins, but principal and her rudeness that she was right. I never moved my hand with the money in it. She was just plain rude. I will never return to this store again. Manger needs to know this and if Stevens the manager the GM needs to know this person shouldn't be in Cust Service read more

Spoke with a "gentleman" in the electronics department who really didn't seem interested in helping me because he really didn't seem interested in doing his job. 4/27/17 9:30pm. Told me to look it up myself on the cartwheel app, and then that wasn't loading, and he told me to check the website on my phone! Needless to say I was asking him because I was looking for help with my hunt, and needless to say he was completely useless, unable and or unwilling to help. I suggest any manager at this store to target employees with this behavior, and let them go, and even identify this poor behavior and avoid hiring such employees all together. Waste of gas and time!!! Don't bother if you're a serious shopper, you can always try North Target, or just go to Walmart where you can expect bad service (sometimes, I know there are good people out there). read more

Very convenient Target location inside the Westfield mall. Also has a Starbucks and a Which Wich if you need to grab a quick coffee or snack. I love their selection of Essie nail polish and I appreciate that the bathrooms are kept clean. The employees have been consistently friendly but I wish the lines went faster. I would give zero stars if allowed. I bought a piece of clothing at another target store and they didn't remove the security tag. It wasn't a store I normally go to, so I went to my neighborhood store to get the tag removed - they can't do it. They don't have the machine. Ok, then I'd like to return it since I can't wear it. They won't accept the return either. I bought the item on my target card, so there evidence of me paying for it. Come on Target, you are a huge chain. Yesterday, I had one of the most humiliating experiences in my life on behalf of the Target management at this location. This, while also being very vulernable personally as my family is going through hard times, as all families do! I went to target with my wife, 2yr old and 6 month old, to return a few gifts from my 2yr olds bday on 11/4 that we HAD to return in order to get the essentials: diapers for both, wet wipes, food. Ive never felt so bad returning my childs gifts in order to provide for her. I am a freelance contractor that has to work 57 weeks out of 52 in a year in order to make ends meet. Math adds up, I think. When I returned my childs gifts for store credit, I was explicitly explained my gift cards and I mentioned the process didn't make sense as I only had 1 gift card and one store credit receipt, so how are there 2 gift cards? Guess what. It didn't make sense. When I arrived to the check out at Target rush hour at exactly 4:00pm, I was embarrassed and humiliated by the staff upon first inspection when my gift card didn't work when the time came to pay. I explained that the customer service told me to provide a reciept for the $110 credit, which I did. I was then accused of stealing and told sorry. While being accused in front of 10 check out lines, backed up 5 customers in each and was told that I hid the card, and was stealing. I then asked for management and a random employee let me know his security guy reviewed it and I definitely stole the card. I then asked if I could please speak to someone in management, and I was told "I was coming at him." Then I asked if we could have security stand by with us until management arrived. Security then held the guy back saying I put words in his mouth. Mind you Im with my wife, and 2 hysterical kids at this point. And have 100+ customers thinking Im stealing stuff when in fact, Im actually asking where my money owed is. While the same security guard who is restraining his own employee let me know he reviewed the footage and I lost the "gift card" and there's nothing anyone can do. At this point I asked that he keep said employee away from my family while I wait on management and he requested "HR" to intervene over walkie. Doesn't seem like this is the first time this has happened.. HR arrived and immediately released the security guard that reviewed the footage and had a new security guard take over the "investigation". So we are now starting over again and the harassing employees is now 15 feet away pacing and staring at my family, but not in arms length. I then re-explained my situation and he said there's nothing we can do and I should not have lost my gift card. I asked how he could say that when he didn't even review the cameras. I then say, if you are now assessing the situation, have you seen the footage, I am clearly holding up a receipt and 1 gift card, one in each hand and ask how they come to that conclusion. They said its not my concern and that is it. Then HR finally arrived, but she was on her way home. She told me after arriving with bags packed toward the elevator she couldn't help me and they reviewed the footage and I should not have lost it. Per company policy, I cannot review what the store security reviews. I asked if I could have a police officer review it, because this is starting to feel criminal to me. She said, "be my guest, are you really going to do that?" Mind you, I am a customer at Thanksgiving, trying to only feed my family, while still embarrassed in front of over 100 people. I responded absolutely, I haven't done anything wrong and there must be some way to amicably resolve this. I was then, almost dared, told to call police, and so I did. Then out of no where after disappearing, the manager/hr lady, returns and then calls into some other random employee that was not involved and had him void and re-issue new store credit gift card based on my proof of receipt. Which is how all of this started. So now all of my groceries have been sitting for 2 hours and then I have to go back and re-wait in rush hour traffic target lines only to be charged more than what i was originally charged at my checkout, 2 hours prior. Wasn't worth the 10 bucks. Long story short, as a parent, we all know its super hard, and we hit hard times, but we do anything and everything we can to provide for our kids, no matter what. I swear Im gonna get 3 peppa pig toys better than the ones we returned! I have never felt so ashamed in my life as I did yesterday and the judgment passed on me and my family based on the targets public display "judge and jury"in front of so many people. As the third Target store in a four-mile stretch of Culver City, I wasn't exactly super-curious to see this one in the newly remodeled Westfield, nee Fox Hills mall. But as I entered and looked inside, it prompted the sensation of witnessing "the shining city on a hill." It seems as if the third time was a charm for Target Corp. in the CC. The other two CC Targets, on Jefferson Boulevard near Sepulveda and on La Cienega Boulevard at Rodeo Road, are strictly two-star outlets. I would have never guessed the seemingly limitless space available in the shopping center for this obviously crown-jewel outlet. This store has fully stocked shelves, alert employees who never hesitate to ask if they can be of help, and, what knocked my socks off, a comprehensive supermarket section. I'm not saying I'm going to brave the Westfield hubbub for most of my groceries, but I can see potential usefulness for spur-of-the-moment items, not unlike the role Trader Joe's plays in my shopping tableau. And I don't need any of you telling me that my tableau blows. read more

***This is an okay Target--big with a good selection; it is located in the Westfield Culver City Mall (previously known as the Fox Hills Mall); because of its location inside the mall, it is not the easiest Target to shop at--you have to take your cart through quite a bit of interior mall space to get from your car to this Target; still, this Target is much bigger with much more selection than the nearby Target that is located next to Ross*** Westfield Culver City Mall has its own free parking lot; due to the size of the lot and the many recent additions to this mall (like this Target), it can be difficult finding a parking space during the peak shopping periods like the holidays. read more

I'm upgrading my review cause I think I've finally figured out how to get in and out of this place easily (which was my main hangup on this location). The tip is to go during off hours (after 8 on weeknights) and to park on the upper level. Enter the garage going to the dining terrace and take a left toward the front Target entrance. This is why I would never go back to this target again! During checkout I told the cashier that the price they scanned is higher than what was listed. She looks at me and gives me an attitude and says ok so you don't want it then? Of course I want it! I have 10 of these in my cart for a reason! Do your job and figure out the right price. After checking out i was waiting for the elevator and suddenly something hit my cart and the cart pushed into my pelvic bone causing excruciating pain. I looked back and saw a target employee who was bringing 20-30 carts from the parking lot bumped my cart. I was clearly in his way but he didn't bother to say "excuse me". What's worse? He didn't even bother to remove his headphones or apologize. I was very upset but the guy just looked at me, waved and walked away. I could have gone after him but I was in a lot of pain. This Target is inside the Culver City mall - weird! I've seen Targets as part of a mall in Texas, but never before in California. It was kind of a maze getting to the parking area that would be closest to the Target. We ended up following the signs in the parking garage and thought we were parking right outside of the Target - nope! We walked down the ramp to find ourselves smack dab in the middle of a Westfield Mall. There's nothing more weird than pushing a target cart through the middle of a mall. Anyway, we got what we needed for the week and found it to be a bit more expensive than standalone Targets. Checkout was kind of a pain, as the self checkout scanners did not correctly scan a couple of the items in the basket. An associate came over eventually, but there was a crazy person two machines over who was yelling about his leg that he claimed was bleeding because of his shopping basket or something irrational. He was causing a scene and the sales associate was trying to calm him down while also trying to break down the line. Anyway, the whole experience was odd. I'd probably avoid this location in the future unless I was already planning to be at this mall for something else. read more

This ain't a "Super" Target- it's a MEGA-Target! (*Cue Mega-Godzilla sounds*) OMG- I love this new location, and it makes me hate the one on Jefferson even more! I will now be driving a little farther just to go to this one. This Target has everything, and it's very clean and hi-tech too! The cosmetics area looks like one in a department store. They have a color-matching computer in the haircolor aisle, to help you find your perfect shade- how cool is that? There is a real grocery department, with fresh fruits, veggies, and meat! And did anybody notice the refrigerated cases have motion sensors to save energy? You come within 5 feet and the lights turn on in them. How energy-efficient and just plain neat! The place is huge, and there were almost no empty shelves or displays. I just hope people don't f-up the place, like the ghetto one on Jefferson. Can't wait to go back! read more
