It was a pleasant surprise to learn that Tarry Tavern shares the same owner as its neighbor Eatarry, a great breakfast cafe. Tarry Tavern had a rustic and cozy atmosphere with beautiful and vibrant dishes that were equally as delicious as they were pleasing to the eyes. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. A great neighborhood dining option. However, there is something about food and price worth mentioning. The food was really delicious, but confusing to see a hand written check with prices that do not correspond to the prices on their menu (both online menu and physical menu in restaurant). An unfortunate practice here to an otherwise great meal.

Lovely place great bartender the hostess was a tad tough I thought it was me at first; but she gave me a menu I said I'd like to order a drink she said their a drinks on the menu I replied I know what I'd like already; well you'll have to wait until the bartender gets back ok... then the bartender took our orders brought the wrong item we told the hostess she said you must be wrong ; when the bartender returned he said he'd gotten it wrong...we weren't upset but her answer was off putting... kinda makes you think with such wonderful good food they serve why us she so grumpy .

I was in Tarrytown for a work trip for the first time in a little over two years. I had a couple of colleagues also staying in the area, so Yelp helped me pick a place for dinner. Score! Lovely ambience, friendly staff and delicious food. It happened to be St. Patrick's Day and there was also a (music) show just up the street. When I made the reservation, they asked me if we were going to the show....(assuming they were making sure we wouldn't be late). The restaurant was almost completely full when we arrived but quickly emptied out because most of the patrons were heading to to Tarrytown Music Hall. We all started with a bowl of soup...two of us had butternut squash soup and one had New England clam chowder. The bread in the basket was delicious and we all loved our soups. They had a special for St. Patrick's Day so two out of the three of us had the corned beef and raved about it. I had the tuna tartare with purple rice...delicious! The dessert menu looked wonderful but we all refrained. I will definitely dine here again.

So my partner and I came here on a late Sunday evening. The staff were absolutely nice, professional and respectful. The interior was gorgeous. They have a very nice bar. They started off with some bread and butter. The bread was delicious. Our drinks were also very very good! Definitely not sweet or too strong. It was perfect. The food...WOW! It felt very homey-it felt just right. The portions were great. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. We came late Easter night and they did not rush us or anything. We had a really great time. I would definitely come back here! And recommend anyone to come here as well. They are LGBTQ friendly-if it matters to anyone.

Excellent location and diverse eating options. They were very accommodating for my sister who customized her cavatelli. Good drinks and desserts. Can get rather loud, and had to track down our server, yet a great time had by all!

Honestly and truly, I was so shocked that how good the food was here. Like really shocked. Shocked to my damn core! Wow, these flavors were amazing. I had octopus to start and it reminded me of the octopus I had when I was in Barcelona, so fresh with just the right amount of citrus taste to it. And for my entrée, I had tuna and that was so phenomenal. I had it raw and it came out so soft and fresh and well seasoned. I'm from New York City so it was really a shock to come up north and find food just as good if not better than places in Manhattan. I highly recommend this place!

Service was immediate with no reservation. The server immediately created us and came around as he watched our table closely. Food was delicious, colorful, and flavorful. The Bellini was so good I ended up getting two. The only thing that was depressing was the butternut squash soup. It was too liquid and not enough flavor.

It was a nice outside patio feeling. The tuna tartare was not good. It was not fresh. But the wine was exquisite and the service was very friendly.

As someone who doesn't have much of a fondness for wine, I decided to experiment and try, since there is an option for a wine flight. Definitely enjoyed the whites more than the red, but that was on me, and my choice on the wines. Paired the wine flight with the charcuterie board, which I enjoyed the different cheeses, nuts, but especially the jam offered. Quiant local, connected to a pizzeria that is right next door, so a fresh pizza can be ordered. Came in a little after doors opened, so it was nice and quiet, with smooth music playing. Host/staff floated around, quick to offer any guidance on the wine options. Street metered parking available, which is easily payable via park mobile app.

To start, I ordered the Sicilian martini, and it was absolutely delicious. It had such a bright, citrusy flavor that felt perfect for a summer evening. It was something different from the usual martini, and I'd definitely order it again. My husband and I shared the Brussels sprouts, which were topped with bacon and honey. They had the perfect balance of savory and sweet and made a great appetizer. We also split the beet salad, which was the ideal size for two people to share and was fresh and flavorful. For my entrée, I ordered the shrimp scampi with gluten-free pasta, My husband had the chicken Milanese, and we both really enjoyed our meals. The centerpiece of this restaurant in my opinion is the beautiful horse shoe shaped bar in the middle of the restaurant. I typically enjoy a nice clean and clear bar so you can fall into the feeling of the restaurant and see what is happening all around. This bar had bottles of wines lining the bar, in my opinion I would remove the bottles and allow for a more open feel. Personally I felt that the bottles created a barrier between me and the bar tender. The outside tables are tables typically for 2 or 4 people with banquet seating and then chairs. Oh, my God How's this boy treating you? Very good wonderful started The service was attentive but not over bearing which created a relaxed feeling.. I was looking for a wine and cheese bar for a night our for myself. I wanted a place that I have not been to before and yelp directed me here Wines on Aug range from 15 and up for a glass which is not outrageous in price. They had a nice selection of wines and I stepped out of ny own comfort zone of a cab and tried the house Pinot Noir accompanied by the B6 board. Overall I was satisfied with the meat and cheese selection and baguette that was served with it had a nice oil on it. Presentation was well done with one exception in my mind, the breads ticks came in a package. Presentation factor went down with that. Take one of the small wife carafe used to serve the wine and present it in that. Overall I felt something was missing but could not put my finger on it. Overall this place has a great date night vibe.

He said it was the best he's French toast he's ever had. Served with real maple syrup, which made it even better. The Bloody Marys were fantastic--perfectly spicy, with a noticeable kick of horseradish. The Bellini was just as delicious, and the coffee was served hot and full of flavor. I opted for the prix fixe menu . It was difficult to choose as there were many options to choose from. I decided on the mushroom risotto as a first course which was outstanding--perfectly creamy risotto topped either mushrooms and a delicate touch of annato oil that brought everything together beautifully. For my main course again, many options that I could've went with, but decided on the eggs Benedict with pork belly, and it was absolutely delicious. The eggs were poached perfectly, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and flavorful. The country, potatoes, sautéed with onions and red peppers, were so tasty, and the side salad with dressing was light and refreshing. I also loved that there were several protein options you could've chose from to go on top of the English muffin beneath the poached eggs. We were too full to enjoy dessert there, but we took it home--an apple cheesecake dress with caramel sauce, and that same homemade whipped cream . Since we were taking it home, we forgo'd the vanilla ice cream which also came with this dessert . The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive--water glasses were refilled without asking, and plates were cleared promptly. The space also features a beautiful large bar and an outdoor patio, which I can't wait to come back and enjoy. Lots of parking in the surrounding and immediate areas and free on Sundays.

I ordered the soup and sandwich off the lunch menu - truffle grilled cheese, how could you wrong? What I expected - a decadent, buttery, melty sandwich. What I got- two heels of bread dry as a desert with a thick hunk of cheese that was not even fully melted throughout. The soup was not terrible in comparison but needed salt.
