What an amazing experience we had.... We walk in and the place is just Alive. The decor / ambiance is amazing, service top shelf and the food. Wow. We had a Sunday 6:30pm Rez for our anniversary, got there a little early and sat at the bar, sat at our table promptly at 6:30.... Moved over, none of that close your tab BS, just felt like the staff was happy and working in unison. Family vibe. The food.... Don't sleep on the cauliflower, it truly is GOAT...! I had the scallops, amazing, my wife had the Veg Lasagne. Unique modern noodle style.. but might be the best Lasagne I've ever had. I ordered the Lasagna and I must say it was delicious--a unique taste sensation like no other. There were so many different flavors and they changed depending on how much of each sauce happened to be on a particular bite. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for something different--but *not* if you are craving good old "Mom's" lasagna! My husband had the Rib Eye and he was very impressed with its large size. He said it was very good and he really enjoyed it. He was also impressed with the Burnt Cream. It was not only delicious but of ample size (when so many restaurants are reducing portions as a cost-cutting measure). The service here was excellent as well. All in all, a great experience. My husband and I stopped in to Tasha's Table to have dinner. The food was delicious! We had pistachio encrusted salmon with couscous and a vegetarian lasagna with fresh pasta. Oh wow, the curry cauliflower appetizer set the bar high for the rest of the meal, but then the rest of the meal delivered! Our favorite was the humble rockfish sandwich. This is about BREAKFAST. No need to review supper, it's not a well kept secret that it is awesome at Tasha's and they are already busy even in the off season and need no help from the likes of me. So, we all need to talk about a dirty little secret in Anacortes. The mistreatment of a well deserved place of honor amongst breakfast fare. I'm talking about Hollandaise. Yes friends, I'm talking about that noble staple that is The Benedict. Many I respect greatly here in town don't do it. Not Dads. Not Mary Anne. Some I don't respect, do it with such lack of effort, you would be better off NOT having breakfast than to try it. I can't understand how anyone could choose a Hollandaise so neglected, it simply must come from a can. Tragic. Shame on you Calico. Shame on you Island Cafe. Majestic, eh honorable mention, not bad. Anacortes has truly felt like an island when you had that hankering for a good Benedict. Not anymore! I became aware of Hollandaise on the menu at Tasha's some time ago, but this week I ran out of eggs and at the same time, that itch started up and needed scratching. Off I went down to Tasha's. Sat my butt down at the bar and was greeted warmly by Tasha. "What will you have?", "Hollandaise" I says. "Benedict. With ham". When you are auditioning somebody's Hollandaise, don't go fancy. I like a good Salmon Benedict as much as the next person, but getting fancy can obscure and shade something so simple with bias. A simple dish requires love and care. You can't skimp. It's either good or fails the test. (See above). The test was passed with flying colors. In front of me, the eggs came out, lemon juice, butter.... I watched them make it in front of me, fresh, right now. No can opener involved. Drizzled over a nice tasty piece of cured ham that would make my Grandfarmer happy. I did do one twist with a side of cheese grits. Yup. Oh yeah. Went along with the Benedict just perfectly. Friends, we have a winner! Ahhhh, a proper Benedict and fresh coffee. That's the way to start the morning. Well done Tasha. Well done! read more

Excellent ribeye....my suggestion is to serve the food on a HOT (warm) plate. I've been here 3 times and I've verbally suggested this before but still the food was served on a cool or cold plate. The issue is you're only 25% into your meal and the food is already cold. It's so much more enjoyable to have your food served on a hot plate.....you can take your time and enjoy your meal that way. read more

My wife and I stayed at a small hotel nearby and I looked up on Yelp what was nearby. Tasha's was close so we walked to it. What an excellent surprise. We shared the rock fish and chips with the Cumin and ginger roasted carrots with goat cheese. Very tasty. We highly recommend this place. Not expensive and the ambiance is cool. It's an older brick building with an open kitchen. We met the owner Tasha. Told her we loved the food and will definitely be back even to try breakfast! Do visit and try it out. 1st time trying this restaurant and was super excited to have Loco Moco. Hoping for a taste of home. Me as an Island girl from the Hawaiian islands. This was the worst Loco Moco I have ever eaten. How do you burn spam and the rice? How do you mess up a traditional beef patty and brown gravy? My sister also ordered chicken and waffles. The waffle was greasy and had a sour taste to it. The chicken was burnt. We paid $60 for our meal and the portions was the size you feed your child and not a grown adult. If I'm expected to pay $22 per meal. I'm expecting adult size portions and not burnt sour food. Very disappointed. Will not being eating breakfast there ever again. read more

I've had risotto all over the world and this was my favorite-I could have eaten an entire bowl of it. Pork belly has crispy skin with delectable center. And just how is a restaurant in this town out of fish and chips? The menu is eclectic=strange and overpriced for what you get. An open faced gyro with three thin slices of beef, no fries all for 17 bucks. Obviously, the owners have lots of friends who are writing glowing reviews. Service is decent but not over the top. Even the owner couldn't answer questions regarding the ingredients in the food, which I find interesting, since it's her restaurant. The food was lukewarm. This is my second time eating dinner here and the food was lukewarm both times. Needs lots of improvement. I think every server should be knowledgeable of all the ingredients in all the main dishes.
