The food is ok, and we really had a rough time with the service. We were a party of 6. Our appetizers came out one-by-one, the empty plates weren't cleared away and we had to pile them up ourselves. We had to ask for serving utensils. We got a spanakopita which was delicious, and came with a side of oven-baked potatoes, which were served balanced in a pyramid in a tiny round dish so none of the wedges were actually in the sauce itself. They forgot the side salads so we asked for them to go and had to wait 20 minutes for them. The appetizer assortments were sized for 1-2 people and only came with 1 dolma. The tzatziki came out and we had to ask for pita, and in our way to the table the waitress stopped to talk to the table next to us so i had to gently take the basket from her hand... The waitress was apologetic and said it was only her but there were only two other tables with a couple of people each... We were brought beer in bottles and had to ask for glasses. I saw the bartender picking up glasses two at a time and putting them back down- looking for clean ones!!! I hope these issues are brought to the attention of management because no matter how good the food is, the service is a huge part of the experience. Finally, she took my credit card and disappeared... i had to go ask another bartender who had just showed up, and he had to go look for it and bring it to me. About 40 of us came from my community for a luncheon here today. It was a little tricky to find, sort of around the corner from Starbucks and Michael's in a shopping center. They have been here for 20 years and this is the first time I saw Taso's. There was a lot of free parking right in front. The restaurant was very pretty in blue and white. We had a private room and were given a basket with warm pita and fresh tzatziki with lots of cucumber. We started cold soft drink. I enjoyed the homemade Greek salad dressing that is also for sale here. Our menu was very appealing with a choice of falafel, pistichio, spanakopita, a Gyro or chicken souvlaki dish. I was meeting a family member for dinner up in Boynton and looked for a nice restaurant to dine in. My phone recommended to try Tasos Greek Taverna so of we went. We were immediately greeted by the staff and given our choice of table. My wife and my sister in law ordered the Chicken kebob, and I enjoyed the Lamb souvlaki sandwich. All the meals came with a starter salad and rice. The food came out quickly and properly. The lamb was tender and juicy, as was the chicken. The food was very good and prices are very good too especially on wine bottles. You can even have Wine by the glass and still a very good deal. My only problem is only had two people helping us. It was in the afternoon and they were really behind and they were really working hard. This is not the fault at all of the restaurants but a sign of the times. The food is awesome. We did get spinach pie, falafel, greek salad, fries, pita dips, baklava and other desserts and non alcoholic drinks. I thought they did a very nice job. It looks like they have recently refreshed and remodeled. The three stars is because our (college) server was pleasant. The food was okay. We both started with their "homemade" lemonade. I can't imagine this is that. It was exceedingly sugary sweet. We added fresh lemon wedges and that helped somewhat. The lunch specials are reasonably priced. Both meals we got came with Greek salad and a half round of cold pita bread (right out of the wrapper). My husband ordered their pasticchio -- the Greek version of Mac n cheese but over ground meat. It, too, tasted premade and his description was: "store bought". I had their pork souvlaki. The pieces of meat were cooked well done as requested. They say life is short - review the dessert first. Can the baklava really be that good? Yes! Super flaky phyllo dough with a very light yet perfect blend of walnuts, honey and cinnamon. Slightly warm with a dollop of whipped cream. Oh so delicious. I've had other baklava that felt so dense in my mouth and sat like a rock in my stomach - but not Taso's. We have been to Taso's multiple times for lunch or dinner, just the two of us or with friends. Always enjoyed our meal. Most recently I enjoyed the pork chop dinner and Rick orderedthe gyro platter. The pork chop was tender, flavorful, and BIG - felt like I was in Iowa. Their gyros platter is presented with a side salad and fries. Their tzatziki has improved lately - used to be almost "soupy" in consistency. Flavor and thickness is better. I've also enjoyed the stuffed snapper (twice) and the chicken florentine. Shared appetizers with friends at lunch while enjoying my own gyro sandwich. We've tried a few other Greek places in the area - but keep coming back to Taso's. Our server was masked and we sat at the end of a very long booth which accommodated several 2 person tables. The menu is a little pricey but the food quality and portion sizes were worth it. I enjoyed a dinner of Red Snapper with lemon potatoes and mixed veggies. My friend had the sliced beef and lamb dinner with the same sides. Both were very good and we brought home half.
