I've drink at many milk tea shops before and wanted something fresh after kbbq, cashier recommended their fresh yogurt strawberry drink and it was excellent! Will definitely come back. read more

What can I say, I love this place! Food and drinks are delicious. My girlfriend and I stop here weekly for teas and food. One of my go to spots in the Cerritos area. I've had the porks stew rice, minced beef with fried egg, minced beef bowl, and their ground pork; All of which are delicious. Probably has something to do with the owner always being there making sure everything is consistent. read more

This was a real disappointment for us. Ordered a couple of meals, popcorn chicken and marinated fried chicken. The popcorn chicken is just ok, but everything else in the bento was below average. It came with broccoli and cabbage, both were too greasy yet lacked taste. The marinated fried chicken was a bit on the nasty side with thick and gooey crust, and the chicken tasted almost fishy. This is always my go-to boba place in Cerritos. I've lived here my entire life and now that I'm off to college and living on my own, I still make it a point to visit Taste Tea when I can. However, these past few visits in the last 3 months, the boba quality has been really inconsistent. Sometimes it'll be the right consistency, but more often than not the boba is obviously over cooked and super soft. It's clear that the boba has been sitting in the pot for way too long. I'm really sad because their teas are still really good, but I can no longer rely on the quality of their boba, especially since there are so many other competing boba shops in the area now:( read more

Sooooo I thought this place was Tastea initially, like the popular boba joint that all SoCal Asians rave about lol. But little did I know that it's not this place... So keep that in mind during this review lol. We got popcorn chicken meal and some form of black sesame milk tea. I really enjoyed the popcorn chicken but the drink we ordered? Not so much. My boyfriend's sister joined us later and she got some type of strawberry milk tea drink and she said it tasted like Nesquick. Maybe we both ordered the wrong things? But I really wanted to like their drinks cause they had a great looking menu. Maybe I'll come back and try it one more time. read more

i love this place! i've been coming to this place since i was in high school, and stopped going for several years until this year when i saw the we're open during covid! i remember their boba tasting good so i gave their wintermelon milk tea a shot. oh my goodness - it was so good! i've now also tried their white peach tea as well as other teas that i don't remember the name of, but i think their boba is great! they are so underrated, and though i haven't had their food since high school, i bet their food is just as great! also, make sure to check in when you go! they'll give you a free upgrade to a large! :) read more

This was a nice little place to stop for tea or even some mixed smoothies. Nice staff, nice mango smoothie. I hesitate to give it higher than a three star, because it's really not a restaurant, just a nice little joint to stop off at. Limited seating. read more

very long overdue review, but i've been coming here since my early college days to study and its the only tea place i like. even though its about 25 minutes from my home, i still like to come at least once a week to support them! the owners are very hard working and kind and everyone i've introduced this shop to loves it! my favorite drinks and recommendations are osmanthus oolong, honey green tea, high mountain oolong for refreshing drinks, and assam milk tea, almond milk tea and royal milk tea for milky drinks. the tea flavor is really good here and doesn't taste watered down. the owners always remember me because i order all my drinks 25% sugar and sometimes make me large drinks. they're a small shop, so please be patient and support them! read more

The drinks were a little too sweet at 100% level but I was very satisfied with the wintermelon green milk tea and the jasmine milk tea. We saw that there were lots of food on the menu so we will be back at this place for sure to give it a complete review. Love this place! I came here and ordered the Lavender Milk Tea (hot) as well as the ground pork rice. Both solid choices, but I'd recommend this place for the drinks mostly! I generally feel like most places serve drinks that are just like warm milk....but the lavender milk tea did not disappoint. The people are also really nice and the decor is cute. Chill place to meet someone for coffee or study for a couple hours! read more

i absolutely love this place. In mine and my partner's opinion this is the best boba place in all of los Angeles--which is a very bold statement, but i think Taste Tea Cafe really holds it's own for sure. The quality of teas is very apparent, and you don't really know what you're missing until you drink one of their milk teas. My staple drink is usually the Hokkaido milk tea, it has a very rich flavor. we haven't tried their food yet, but are currently on our way to chow down--they've got food too there y'all read more

Love this place for its drinks, boba, and food. Their boba is soft and warm and the drinks are very tasty--I recommend the Formosa milk tea in particular, a very nice twist on the normal milk tea flavor! When I went here for dinner I had the beef stew with noodles and my boyfriend got the minced beef with rice and fried egg. His was very delicious and came with a nice side of vegetables, while mine was pretty good, but admittedly I've tasted better versions of this dish at other places. I also tried the hot hokkaido milk tea with boba. If you check in on Yelp, they'll upgrade one or all of your drinks to large, and let me tell you... the large hot milk tea is BIG. It came in a BOWL. It was enormous! I felt like I was eating two soups that night. Loved it ;) For dessert we tried the nutella toast, and it was pretty good as far as brick toasts go. The atmosphere itself is very clean and nice. The workers are attentive and friendly. A lot of folks dining in at the time were playing card games, so it seems like a good place to just hang out and chill with some good food and drink. Milk tea is mediocre. A little watered down. SOMA Tea is better for milk tea. Popcorn chicken is good but would hope for bigger portion given the cost. The food overall is good and I would go back. Nice service by wait staff and owner. read more

10/15/2020 With covid19 happening this place has been a lifesaver! I love their drinks, my go to is the Matcha smoothie with boba no sweetness and it is so good! I also love their green onion pancake and the other snacks that they offer. This hits the stop for those Taiwanese food and drink cravings. For someone who can no longer have any kind of dairy (I know it sucks), I absolutely love that all their milk teas come with non-dairy creamer. Sometimes milk substitutes are hard to find at some boba shops so I really appreciate this. The actual boba is tasty (I love it with the jasmine green milk tea) and their popcorn chicken is sooo good and juicy. You can always tell the quality of a place judging by the basics and they have all that and more. Plus they are super kind. Plus plus if you check in, you get a free upgrade to large! read more

The space itself is on the smaller side, so finding a seat during peak hours can be a bit challenging. That said, they do offer both indoor and outdoor seating, which helps.

The drinks were iced but we received them warm and even after waiting for the ice to melt, the drink never got cold and maybe that is what created some kind of lack of taste for me.
