Tastea a boba brand that is pretty consistent. They execute well on fruity drinks and teas. The milk teas lack a lot of flavor from every location I've been from NorCal to SoCal. I think if the brand spends some time to redo their milk drinks, they'd be better in respect to be in the the top of others. The best drink hands down is the Strawberry Ecstasy. The recipe is perfect, especially when avocado chunks are added. It has the right amount of ice and sweetness. You really taste the fresh avocados, not just the flavored powders like at some other places. And it's always consistently yummy every time! The drink is not cheap but not expensive either. I love this place, I've been coming here since I was a teen and had an addiction for like 4 years lol. The staff were always super nice and attentive at pickup. 5 stars for service! That said, I'm removing 2 stars bcs I got food poisoning from this location around 7 times T-T. Twice, it was so bad I projectile vomited alot. My family members recently got food poisoning from here too but they don't tolerate these cases (no matter how good the food is, unlike my weird self) so we've stopped visiting here entirely. I noticed it's usually the milk teas that are bad for the gut. I'm not lactose intolerant so I assume it's the milk tea's ingredients that may be a bad combo or the milk isn't taken care of. I usually get the Matcha Thai Tea since this is one of those drinks that you can't find at the common boba places. The Thai Tea flavor is strong and it balances well with the Matcha powder. I also like that the drink is not too sweet when I order it with 25% sugar and no toppings. This time around we also tried their Peach Lychee tea with 25% sugar and no toppings. The drink was really sweet so I asked if they could make me another with 0% sugar. They didn't hesitate and made me another one right away. However, it was still very sweet. Although I appreciated the Lychee bits, I did notice an excessive amount which is probably the cause of the sweetness. Their fried chicken and french fries are fantastic. They should rename it "Tai Chi Chicklet" because it's more mellow and tiny. For the price I paid, I half expected the chicken to demonstrate some martial arts. Alas, it was just a disappointing, pocket-emptying morsel. Now, the Avocado Avalanche. Oh, what a misnomer. I'm fairly certain that the avocados they used had been banished to the icy tundras and then begrudgingly resurrected for my drink. Fresh fruit? I couldn't bear to drink it. I took it home for my kids who are sweet lovers, but they too couldn't tolerate the sweetness. So, it ended up in the trash. What a waste! Ambiance: 3 out 5 Small place surrounded with tall clear glass inside enclosing the servers. The glass closure was suffocating to look at, but oh well, it's for safety purposes. Parking wasn't an issue when we came as they were not busy. However, it can be a pain during busy hours. And of course, you can't go to Tastea and leave without their karate chicken and buttload'a fries. The karate chicken has 2 sizes-- S and L, the fries has one size only. We got spicy as our heat level for both and it's a good kick of heat for sure. Got my bf's upper lip sweatin. We got one of each sauce-- chili sauce, ranch, and ketchup and it was enough for both our snacks. Expect a wait when you come here, there's usually a line.
