:) Tastea is the default place my friends and I stop at. We happened to come here the other day 'cause their "Name" promotion was my friend's. So we stopped in so that she could get her free boba. The cashiers were really nice. Normally I get the largest size (Even More, is it?) of half/half iced tea, but this time, went with the half/half milk tea (not on the menu). I think the cashier heard me wrong when I asked whether or not I could get the $1.00 refill on this. Anywho, conclusion is that the $1.00 refill is only on the regular tea, not the milk tea. But this cashier allowed me to "downgrade" and get a refill of regular half/half since this person had heard me incorrectly. I wish they had more seating available. From what I can recall, there are no tables inside, just a bench. Outside, there are usually 2 tables on either side of the double doors (with two to three chairs each). If you go around the corner to the pharmacy, you can sometimes find another table or two and a couple more chairs. All in all, I have no major gripes about this place. :) My friends come here more often than I do, and they say that their drinks can be a little inconsistent though. I don't have a problem with that just 'cause I always just regular or milk tea. I was a little disappointed for my friend 'cause he had bought something that had longan pieces at the bottom, but the chunks were much to big to come up the boba straw. He ended up having to rip off the top to get at them. :( He was disappointed 'cause there were so many longan pieces left at the end and no more drink to wash it down with. Oh. I liked the honey boba, good and sweet and looked eccentric in green hah. The drink itself would have been good for my taste if not for all those extra fragments of (canned?) strawberries, chopped mango, and whatever else there were. Definitely for someone who's into something more sour than a typical passion fruit drink sourness; if passion fruit is at a level 1 (barely being sour in my opinion), those fragments are at a 3.5 on a scale of 1-5. This review is purely for the Avocado Avalanche smoothie and amazing customer service thanks to Kelly. She's the one with really short hair, black-framed glasses, and an earring plug. She's really friendly and helpful. Since it was my first time there, she said I could get them to make it again till I was satisfied. We found out that the really large size needed 3 extra condensed milk pumps to perfect my craving. It was quite an adventure that night for my boyfriend and I (Lol) haha; Tastea was the third place we went to get me my avocado craving fixed. Update on my previous review: Tom Nguyen, the manager of Tastea actually reached out to me and gave me a $5 gift card in efforts to compensate my subpar experience. I figured since he was so nice about it, it wouldn't hurt to give them another chance. I took my little brother here and we ordered two different drinks this time, one was the jasmine milk tea, and the other was a smoothie. There was an issue with my gift card not scanning properly, but the cashier offered to just give me the $5 off my order and she would take the card and figure out the issue later. Definitely really nice thing to do, because I didn't want to be forced to come back next time to use it. I forgot which smoothie I had gotten exactly, but I don't remember it being much amazing. My brother's jasmine milk tea was actually quite good, very flavorful and enjoyable. Overall, I think they're a decent place for boba, but nothing too amazing. Gave them an extra star for the good customer service. However, I will probably not be back unless a friend specifically requests we go here. read more

Disclaimer: My rating is mainly on their product, NOT so much the overall business. Just to make that clear! I've heard plenty of great things about this establishment (especially from my abg friends.) So while I was in the area, I decided to give it a try. I ordered the "Krypteanite" with honey boba and my boyfriend got the "Booty Shaker." Let me just say these drinks are SO FREAKING GOOD! I'm really picky about how smoothies/slushes are made, esp. flavor, but they got it perfect. Even my boyfriend's drink wowed me. 10/10 recommend, especially if you're going on a long drive. If you're a boba lover like me, I definitely would give this spot a try! My friend said the avocado one is good too (she adds more sweetness if you're more of a sweet tooth!) Like I said in the beginning, I wanted to rate their products because I didn't have time to really take in the atmosphere. What I can say though is the workers were very accommodating. Tastea was not at all what I expected. I expected the typical Asian boba drank place with Asian workers, colorful walls and lots of loud Asian wankstasss. Excuse me for being ignorant, I've never been to garden grove in general haha. But tastea was a pleasant surprise :) It was like a jamba meets a higher end boba location (see cha, teastation). I say higher end because their boba was remarkably soft. Mmmm But I figured since the name was tasTEA I should try their specialteas... Ha ha. I asked the friendly worker what their most popular was & I settled with the ____. it was surprisingly good and the sweetness was contrasted with the sour green mango bits. It was still too sweet for me but very refreshing and different. I will be sure to make a trip from irvine again to try the milk teas or maybe even a slush... DUDEEEE. BEST BOBA/TEA DRINKS EVER. E V E R. Me and Tastea are very meant to be. I always leave satisfied. All their drinks are super delicious and the menu has such a wide variety. I love strawberry drinks and they've got a million different drinks with strawberries in it. But don't worry if you're not a big fan of the strawburries, they've got peach, mango, passion fruit... you name it, they got it! Their rainbow jelly is bomb as hell too. I also got to try my friend's tea drink (I forgot what it was) and it was really good too. Tastea really got me into the whole tea bizniz. All in all, I'm a big fan of boba/tea drinks and this by far beats Tea Station, Cha for Tea, and all the other wannabes. Oh, and they opened another one in The Block at Orange! I really love their price and their green boba :] Their menu is very direct and not confusing like others that have overloaded items on the menu. I have yet to try their teas or smoothies, so that's why it's only a 4 star however, their Mocha is definitely one of the best that I had tasted in an Asian drink place. Cute name. I came here on a Tuesday night after dinner and it was pretty crowded so I knew this place was gonna be good. I asked my friend what I should get and she suggested one of the specialteas. After waiting in line for about 5 minutes, I ordered the Lychee Peachy, which is peach tea with lychee bits in it. The person who took my order was very friendly. The decor of this place is nice. Very modern with green and orange painted walls and cool looking lights. There are a couple of tables and a bench where you can sit and wait for your drink. Since the place was so crowded, there wasn't much space to stand After about 5 minutes, I got my drink. Let me tell you, the first sip and every sip after that tasted like heavenly bliss. It was SO good. I've had tea from Eggettes, Quickly, Tea Station, etc., but the tea here is amazing. I really hope I can come back the next time I'm in Irvine and try the other specialteas. So I kinda came here on accident since my parents were looking for a legit Vietnamese food restaurant and somehow along the way that restaurant was next to this place. I've heard a lot about Tastea from college friends, and some of those crazy kids are always down to drive down to Tastea and take a sip of their of their delightfulness (keep in mind that the drive is ~1 hour). Anyways, so the decor was pretty clean-- but like a typical Asian teenage spot to chill and stuff. The pricing is decent-- it's not too cheap where they offer 99 cent boba like the SGV, but it's not too expensive like AU either. Overall, it was a good price for the quality of their drinks. I got the the Peach Mi Sweetea with Lychee jelly, and it was a like heaven-- but just a little sweet. I absolutely loveeed my order cause it was filled with fruits and fun! The service was absolutely wonderful. The cashier was prompt and friendly enough to ask for additional items like cookies and upgrades, etc. Oh, and they do accept cards, but no bills over $20. Overall, i'd love to come by here again. High lights: - Good quality drinks; fairly different and unique. ( & i heard they have green boba? hmm) - Great service. - Clean environment. Oh Tastea, how I love thee. Whenever I am in the OC I crave for your Peach Me Sweetea And you never ever charge me For x-ing out my ice..y? Ok enough of that. It's true though, unlike other boba places that charges me extra for taking out the ice (Cough Tap Ex Cough), tastea always complies and still serves my drink to the brim. Their milkteas do not taste anything like other boba places, so it takes getting used to. Their teas are what I come.. nay.. crave for. Always ice cold and swimming inside are fruit to your choosing. I always get the peach me sweetea (strawberry/peach tea with strawberry and peach chunks). I don't like how the strawberries float so I always opt for more peach instead and I take out the ice because I like to enjoy my drink slowly without it getting diluted. I love Tastea! My friend who lives by this location always brings me Tastea when I'm in the area. Last time I had the bootea shaker! It was so delicious! I love that it isn't too sweet and all the flavor of the tea is still there. The pieces of fruit in the drink made it extra yummy by adding a little crunch and bite to every sip! I love that they have a large selection of drinks that are unique to Tastea, unlike other places like Quicklys or Lollicup. This place definitely lives up to its hype! Came here over the weekend for the first time from reading some yelp review. This place reminds me of a Jamba Juice "Asian" style!! Like the variety of tea offers. I got the Tootea Fruitea and my friend got the Vietnamese ice coffee. My Tootea Fruitea was different as it had bits of fruits in it...it was good. My friend's Vietnamese ice coffee was more ice in it than coffee. It just looked he got ripped off..=P Overall, i did enjoy my drink and like the variety here. Okay, I'll admit the green boba balls make a difference. And their selection of drinks is amazing compared to what's offered in LA. I've gone to the one in Block of Orange a few times, and been to this one in Garden Grove once. Best tasting experience probably occurred in Garden Grove. They are extremely busy during the summer season, but everyone seems to at least know what they're doing, and no one is lagging behind or just standing behind the counter doing nothing. Everyone's friendly enough. Both stores are pretty small, and the line going out the door is a bit expected. I had the Lychee Freeze with boba. It had lychee bits in it, and it was awesome. The bf had the Krypteanite (matcha and jasmine green tea) with boba, and he really enjoyed that one. We also got ourselves the karate chopped chicken with the spicy level at medium. Pretty good. Even for it being a hot day, the combination of a drink with spicy food was really really good. One slightly bad thing was that while they did ask for our names for the order, there were 3 other people behind us who had the same name as my bf, so there was a bit of confusion on whose food/drink was whose. Regardless, everything was done pretty smoothly. There's an expected wait time when it comes to the summer seasons, but everyone's really polite and helpful. Have to say....I normally despise boba....but the ones I had at this place were quite tasticle!!! They weren't the usual brown ones either....they were more greenish in color....and they weren't rubbery at all....good signs so far right? Lychee peachee!!! I usually go to the location in Rowland Heights and it's wonderful. Anyways, my experience at this location... I love Tastea don't get me wrong, but service can be a bit ehhh when they gotta redo your order. They're a bit "unhappy" when they know they did something wrong, but you don't gotta look at the customer with a weird look like "wtf?" I forgot what the name was, but the mango slushy that has green mango bits was a bit on the sweet side, but pretty delicious. Something about it tasted unique and better compared to other tea joints. FOOD QUALITY: So when I used to crave boba but with some fruity twist to it, I would come here because every drink here always tasted refreshing. Drinks here didn't taste over-syruped, sizes were generous, and the prices weren't so steep. Chunks of fruits were also present in my drinks, so that's always a plus. Their boba is consistently soft and chewy too, which I find pretty rare down in the OC area. Chalk up another 5 star review for Tastea! I don't think I can add much more to what the other reviewers raved about already, so I'll do a quick run-through of what makes Tastea a 5-star worthy establishment. - Unique drink menu compared to your standard boba tea joint. - Fresh and clean tasting drinks and not that powdered junk. - Quick service. Even if there's a line out of the door, the staff manages to get through it smoothly and efficiently. - Friendly staff. They often ask you how you're doing and if there's anything else they can get for you after you get your order. Some things that aren't as good...It can get rather loud in here, what with the music and blenders. It's kind of like the Asian version of Jamba Juice. They also only have bench seating inside with a couple tables outside, so not much space if you want a place to hang out with friends. Despite these things, Tastea is probably one of the best places to get your drinks on around the Westminster area and it's one of my regular spots.
