This was an alright place for drinks. It was my first time there. I ordered a large peach strawberry tea. I usually avoid tea places that don't offer natural teas and only use syrup in their drinks, but I decided to try it here since they use cane sugar in their drinks ( they also have stevia option) . They didn't offer to let me know that I had the option to customize my drink ( my bad though since I should have also asked if they did that there) . My drink was too sweet. Son in guess g that was their regular way of making the that drink. I got asked if I had a rewards number with them, I said: " no, but can I sign up?" the guy at the counter said he would just take my order and suggested that next time to just download the app, I guess it was fine since I don't think I would be coming back here. I don't know how I feel about the honey boba default, I think I am more of a brown sugar girl. The boba was fresh, warm and soft so kuddos for that. 4 stars because there is very limited parking, and the barricade with a microphone that they have between the cashier and you IS LOUD AF! Like SCREAMING loud... Perks - while their drinks are expensive they have a reward program and their food looked good. The drinks came out quickly. The drinks are always solid and the karate chicken is... chefs kiss. Amazing. They changed their ranch recently though, and I definitely prefer their former ranch option. I came here with my son. His idea. Although 3 stars is good and fair, y'all might not agree. Cool location. Good service. But prices are a bit high for me. Their large is a nice size. So I'll give them that. Options are plentiful. I've been to Tastea before. Wasn't really wow'ed. but not bad either. Major fail was having green boba lol I asked for a sample. It taste ok. But just get weird. So I didn't get any. My son got the lyche slush drink. He said it was cool. My Thai tea was decent. Not too sweet. I wanted brown sugar in it, when I got my drink, it didn't have any. So they made me another one. So thanks for that. But $17 for two drinks though? I'll pass. Not complaining. Within a 5 mile radius, Tastea is not only a chain but with the continued growth of boba popularity, this venue is dime a dozen. The menu selection is average but I do like the uniqueness of Avocado Avalanche and Coffee Matcha Tea (which I got). The shop was managed by one personnel (so kudos for being versatile). However, being a one-person show, some area is going to give and it's attention to details when making the drinks. This area needs improvement so quality of drinks can be enjoyed. We ordered: Matcha Oatmilk Tea, Strawberry Slush and Coffee Matcha Tea. Matcha Oat-milk (3/5) - The drink was way to sweet for matcha and milk base was not oat milk. My friend discovered it half an hour later when her stomach got gassy. Disappointing. Coffee Matcha Tea (4/5): It was good but the oat milk was added to this order. You would think you can see the color difference between the two but side by side (not reading the label) one can hardly distinguish between the two. Strawberry Slush (3/5) - It's okay. It's been a while since I've tried a Tastea. Many of the drinks here sound amazing due to the flavors, and the fact that they have non-dairy options is also crazy accommodating for the lactose intolerant folks like me. It's not crowded on a Wednesday evening, and I would definitely return to try all of their options. The crystal boba texture is a bit strange and questionable, so maybe I should have stuck to honey boba. Nonetheless, customer service was decent and I love their strawberry flavor! Even though the texture of the crystal boba is weird, it still tastes yummy. Really love the large abundance of people and ambience in this location. The service is super fast and quick, and ordering is through a kiosk. I feel that out of all the Boba places, Tastea is my favorite simply because of its big portion sizes (large) cup and its reasonable prices. For $7-8 plus tax, you can get a ginormous 32 oz cup to share with you and a friend :). I always end up ordering the jasmine milk tea, but my girlfriend prefers the Strawberry Milk Tea. Both of these flavors, I would highly recommend, along with the winter melon milk tea. For ingredients, honey boba is a favorite, and you can adjust the sweetness and sugar level accordingly. At 12:20am, my partner asks for an update on the chicken, employee said it would take 10 more minutes. At 12:40am, I asked for an update on the chicken, since it's almost 35 minutes. The employee with white shorts tells me the other employee brought the food out, but the other customer took both orders: theirs and mine. I guess next time your employees can check the name of orders and confirm with customers their name + items? The customer took both orders, 2 separate bags, because only one name was called and both orders were given to him. Our name was never called for food. Employee with white shorts said it's because they've been having issues with the fryer, but that has nothing to do with messing up and giving both orders to the other customer. This Tastea location was the very first Boba place I've actually tried in California, and I'm glad to call it my first since I know they're like THE OG of boba places. I had pretty high expectations for this place since a lot of my friends from down here talk about Tastea, and I always hear about how big of a staple they are in California. I don't remember which drinks we got, but I think one of them was the peach me sweetea? But anyways I am going have to be completely honest, I did not like that drink at all. Maybe it was the fruit bits that were in the drink that gave a weird texture while drinking it. I also found the drink a bit sour or bitter. I don't know, I was really excited since this was my first Californian Boba and I always heard so much hype about it, but I was let down. Maybe it was just this location or perhaps this particular drink that didn't do it for me. As sad as I am about the outcome of my drink, I still have a lot of hope for Tastea and am more than willing to give them another try. I recall she told me about this place so I ordered the drink from here and it was not far from her house. I decided to order the classic milk tea, classic milk tea with boba for my sister, and oh la la smoothie. The employee gave me a scratcher to see what prize to get to use on next visit. Also, the employee told me about signing up there app to earn rewards which I didn't know about. The classic milk tea was good and flavorful if you want something a bit heavy. I loved the OH LA LA SMOOTHIE! It was totally OH LA LA like its name. This is my favorite drink now. I like that I can taste the coconut in it. Great combo and delicious. Even though the drinks cost more than where I normally get it, it was worth every penny. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It's in a plaza so you be able to find parking. Tastea is my number one go to for boba. Especially after Kbbq Honesty I love this boba place. So many different options to choose from. From Milk teas, Coffee and Fruit teas. I personally love there house special coffee. It's one of my faves. I know who goes to a boba shop to get coffee? I DO. Lol I'm just a coffee person. All their coffee options are pretty good. Not too big of a fan of the matcha coffee. It just has a weird after taste. The Bootea Shaker, Peach me, and Horchata are on top of my list. I totally love the fact that you can adjust your sweetness and also they have stevia options as well. The only think I don't really like is their customer service. It's not that great. I totally sense the vibe of them having an attitude or they just don't want to be there. That's the only reason i gave them 4 stars. I believe in great customer service. The Vietnamese coffee I got with ZERO sugar had an inch of drink missing from the top and it was as light colored as milk tea. Upon drinking it, it tasted like milk with a hint of coffee to it. If you actually want coffee, just go to 7Leaves across the street or to a BMC. Skip it. I was excited to finally try their Pumpkin Pie Milk Tea seasonal drink and I was SO DISAPPOINTED. Legit tasted like instant coffee creamer powder mixed with milk and a HINT of pumpkin. Fries were mostly batter and really hollow and dry. Extremely disappointing and this was a pain to finish...
