This place is mid. I hoped for a tasty burger (I ordered a bacon cheese burger) but the patties tasted like there was no seasoning, not even salt & pepper. I ordered the fries/onion rings mix, and it was ok. The fries were nothing special, the onion rings were solid. For the drink, I got some cherry/lime soda or something, I can't remember exactly. But I didn't like it, I should have tried a milkshake or stuck with a normal soda. I usually don't write reviews for average places, but I was so struck by how mid this burger joint was, especially for how much I paid, that I had to write a review. Would I go back there? Tasty Burger resides next to Fenway Park, and gets pretty busy during baseball season. The burgers are just as tasty during the off-season though. The menu is small but offers so much for those with food allergies. Also, the taps are stocked with local brews including hard cider. My PIC and I enjoy catching Boston sports or sports news on the TVs above the bar. Always a solid experience ordering drinks and burgers. This place has a retro vibe! Came here for lunch and their original Tasty Burger tasted pretty similar to In-N-Out burger, though their fries didn't taste like the fries from In-N-Out. Their onion rings were very greasy but I liked how they use real onions. If you like spicy, opt for their spicy jalapeño burger. The service was good. They checked in on us occasionally, however they ran out most of the drinks when we visited. They also have a window outside for orders to go and a decent-sized parking lot. read more

We ordered a spicy jalapeño burger, a patty melt, and a small fries to go. There were barely any caramelized onions in the patty melt; it was a bit disappointing. I also didn't like the toasted & buttered buns, but the toasted & buttered part was clearly mentioned in the menu, so that's on me. The fries were increeeedibly salty, but they were still alright. The jalapeño burger was the star of the show. It wasn't actually spicy, but it had lots of great flavors! My colleagues and I were in town for work and we made a special effort to go to a Red Sox game at Fenway... and that meant making sure to get a burger at Tasty Burger! The place has a fantastic retro look. It was very clean, very friendly and energetic. The pool table in the back was a nice touch. We sat at the bar and it was perfect. Lots of cool customers, and a fantastic bartender. Our hamburgers were tasty, for sure! Lots of cool options. The french fries were good also. Among the three of us, we had a chocolate coffee milkshake, a local beer and pop, all good. There's parking right there, which we were surprised by because it's right by the baseball stadium. Landed pretty late in Boston and this was the only place open until midnight I guess.. we walked in and the place was empty with a couple of tables occupied.. we ordered their totchos (Crispy tater tots topped with Tasty chili, cheese sauce, tomatoes, sour cream and scallions) and that was good. We then ordered their Zum Zum hot dogs and that was nice too.. then we ordered their spicy jalapeno burgers and the burgers were simply okay.. nothing great nothing bad either but we have certainly had better burgers else where.. This tasty burger spot was what I needed at 9pm. I love mint chocolate and this green monster was not bad. I enjoyed the little mini chocolate chips in this milkshake, which helped it easier to finish. The chicken nuggets were good and juicy, and the fries I would highly recommend! At first, I was shocked and dismayed that the Original Tasty Burger near Fenway Park was gone, but then, I saw that the restaurant had moved a block away to a shiny, new location on Van Ness Street in the shadow of Fenway. It looks brand new, but the menu is the same as the last time I ate at Tasty Burger. Very comfortable and nice interior. Very good burgers. This was the first time I had been since they switched locations by Fenway. I was a fan of the new design and layout. Service was fast and we were sat right away. Food as always did not disappoint. I got the Big Tasty on a gluten free bun and fries. The fries were very crispy which I am a big fan of. Also got a raspberry lime rickey to drink which really hit the spot in the heat. Im not a huge burger eater and is very selective when it comes to burgers . I wanted to give tasty burger a try while in Boston since its a different name to me and the reviews were great. It was so cold outside and it was a line outside the door which I seen on Yelp that this is typical. I wanted patiently. They are open late but their dine in closes earlier. I went their late and I had to order at the window. Once I got to the order window the girl was polite and patient. Me and my boyfriend both ordered burgers and he also ordered a hot dog. Me personally even though the burger wasn't so juicy I still enjoyed it and would return their for a burger. This is coming from a non burger eater. My boyfriend didn't enjoy his burger too much and complain that it was too dry for him. He rather loved the hotdog way better and he said he would return for the hotdogs. Good quality burgers at a price that won't break your wallet! Also open "late" (in Boston standards) for those partying it up past midnight in Fenway. Of the Tasty Burgers I've been to in the area, this is the only one I've encountered so far which has sit down service. The servers are very quick to take your order but the food takes a while to come out. They also have a window outside if you want a to-go order or if you want to sit on the benches outside, but this doesn't work too well when it's cold. Inside there are tables as well as bar seats, and there is a pool table in the back. The "Starvin' student" is a really good deal because you can get a hamburger/cheeseburger with fries and a 16oz can of beer for $10. They offer another deal of basically the same thing but with a glass of wine. The cheeseburger itself is already $6 (hamburger is $5), and they don't have any beers cheaper than $4.50, so you're basically getting a bunch of fries for free. They have a lot of condiments at the table, from hot sauce to two types of ketchup and mustard and their special seasoning, which actually comes in handy because their standard hamburgers and cheeseburgers don't come with sauce. However their more "special" burgers like their Big Tasty do come with sauce-- it's just up to you whether you want to save the extra dollar or two on a burger. The burger is cooked to medium by default. The ingredients are super fresh and great quality for the price! Their fries are thin and crispy. They're a little underseasoned but that's what the condiments on the table are for. As it gets later the place gets busier, but I've always had good customer service here. read more

Fries - 3 stars - We ordered a side of fries. They were not great. We might've got whatever was available at the bottom of the bag. We got all the shortstop pieces made a little hard to eat. Nothing special. The Big Tasty - 4 stars - The burger was definitely lived up to the name. It was very flavorful. The cheese had a very weird mouth feel to it. Could've done without it.
