I would give this restaurant a five for food and a two for service. I ordered a tasty burger without onions and a combo including onion strings and a drink. I asked the waitress about the cherry wine which was a local bottled soft drink. She said order it if you like that kind of stuff. She said there would be a small up charge for that. The food was really good and the Cherrywine was nice as well. My only beef was that she charged for the bottled soft drink and also charged me for the entire combination meal and did not remove the charge for the soft drink. She should have been more clear about the order or have at least offered to bring me an extra soft drink or bottled water. read more

My friends and I have been coming here for years. But lately, the food and customer service has declined. The staff, our past two visits, were extremely rude, wait time was over an hour, our food was lukewarm at best, and I had to remind the staff several times we have not ordered yet and are still waiting for our food. It is unfortunate since Tasty Burger used to be our favorite burger joint. After today, I have decided I will never go again. My boyfriend and I were 5 minutes early to their opening at 11 am. People were already waiting inside and seated for lunch. The server told us we had to leave, couldn't even stand and wait, for 5 minutes for lunch to start. It is 6 degrees out. Normally, it would not be an issue but that was highly uncalled for and inhumane. Today, you lost a regular cuatomer. I hope your service improves, though i won't be around to find out. read more

Came there around noon, quite busy as it's a popular spot. Really vibrant atmosphere, food prices were great! Lots of condiments to pick from, like their house spicy ketchup which makes regular ketchup seem like your high school girlfriend: not fully developed and boring. Lots of options as far as burgers goes, and a decent amount of sides and desserts. They serve great beer and wine too to help you enjoy the burgers. I had the Rise n' Shine burger. I ate the "All the Way Dog" and I'm glad I only had one and didn't go for the triple. Yes, I would've walked outta there with a tshirt, but three of those babies would be something you'd have to prepare for. It WAS a fun time eating a hotdog, hamburger, chili, nacho cheese and bacon all on the same bun. The burger my wife ate looked really good. I'd go back just to try the burger. The onion rings were the best I've ever eaten. They used red onions and were just lightly battered; not those big, fat onions rings with a loaf of bread deep fried around each ring. The perfect place to go to after a night out. It's open to late and the burgers just hit the spot. I had the burger with jalapeno and it was great. I go with a bunch of friends after going to a club and we're never disappointed. The bread is great, the meat is tasty and the cheese is always melting and delicious. I've been a huge fan of Tasty Burger since they opened in Fenway. I find that the more frills are put on a burger, the less I want to eat it. Tasty Burger burgers are simple: flat, greasy, American-cheesy, and just plain tasty. To top that, they have been consistently adding to their canned beer list, which I LOVE. Plus you get a $2 coozie! What could ruin that package? Oh, I know.. TERRIBLE SERVICE. The service at this particular location has gone WAY, WAY downhill since it opened. I don't know if management has changed hands or what, but it has taken a complete 180 .. I used to go in and be greeted almost immediately by either the bartender, host, manager, basically whoever saw me first and it was with a smile and "Where would you like to sit?" The bartenders used to be friendly and accommodating and now I feel like I'm a burden when I take a seat at the bar. I KNOW that a friendly demeanor is 100% necessary to work behind a bar, because I'm a bartender! That's right; I'm a bartender and I almost always prefer to sit at the bar instead of a table, so yes, I am constantly judging the type of service I get from behind the taps. Lately, I'll walk in and absolutely no one will acknowledge my presence for 5 or so minutes. Eventually, I'll take a seat and then for another 5-10 minutes I'll be waiting for someone to come and say hello and take my drink order. One time recently, a gentleman (not in any particular uniform) didn't even say "hello" or "how are you?".. He literally plopped menus on our table and walked away. Are you kidding me? Then when we weren't ready to order, he didn't come back for another 10-15 minutes. We had to call him over and he told us "Sorry, I thought you were still having a conversation." Towards the end I think he realized he was giving extremely undesirable service, because he started being overly nice. I tipped over 20% because I am a server and this is how most people make a living. But Tasty Burger, you need to get it together. Seriously. Just absolutely unacceptable. Your food is so good! It should be just as much a priority to make your service standards as good, too. read more

In fact, I really love their burgers! Unfortunately, the most recent time I attended, which was indeed late at night, the wait staff rudely kicked everyone out immediately after paying our checks. I understand it was late at night and I understand that they could "lose their license" (in the words of our waiter). But the way you kick people out is with politeness, not open hostility. My group wasn't lolly-gagging, we were just trying to get our coats to go into sub 10 degree weather. Luckily, there are better options in the area. Give BurgerFi a try or go to Boston Burger Co. We just waited 45 minutes for our order. I have absolutely no tolerance for inefficiency and lack of urgency. A takeout burger should take nowhere near 45 minutes , and if so it should be clearly stated there is an extremely long wait. I have worked in the food industry and clearly understand how to work fast when there is a line of customers waiting for orders. I'm not normally a burger guy, as they WILL kill you. However, on a recent Saturday afternoon visit, Tasty Burger served up a very delicious burger. I got the Onion Burger, that was smothered in fried onions and Swiss cheese. It was amazingly tasty. Lot's of burgers rely on their juiciness (i.e. melted fat) to supply their taste. Something about the seasoning they use here made this burger exceptional. The burgers come by default cooked medium (they ask if that's what you want, so there should be no surprises.) Mine came medium, but I think next time I'll get medium-well or well. I just don't trust that redness in a burger that I didn't cook myself. The fries were nearly as good as McDonald's. The onion strings were REALLY good. They are very greasy, but loaded with onion flavor. Eat them quickly as the flavor fades as they cool (ours arrived piping hot.) I was surprised that they have beer and wine. The Pats were playing and the bar was full of people watching the 3 flat screens. It was still very family-friendly (I was there with my wife and 7 & 9-year olds.) Our waiter was very friendly and efficient. The only reason that I gave 4 stars versus 5 was the ice cream shake. They describe them as having 4 scoops of ice cream. My wife's arrived warm and as thin as chocolate milk. She sent it back and the waiter apologized (profusely!), took it off the bill and gave her a free Diet Coke. He told us that sometimes when they are really busy they make a bunch of shakes at once and it seemed that this one missed some part of the assembly process. I am glad I waited to review this joint. The first time that I went there I was hugely disappointed. I had high expectations because the place looked awesome but the burger I ordered ended up being way to greasy for my taste. I think it was the one with jalapeno and cheese. It just fell apart as I was trying to enjoy the frigging mess amidst a pile of dirty napkins. I gave it another try a year later, ordered the Gorgonzola burger and loved it. No grease this time. The fries were pretty good too. Kinda like McDonald's but made with real potatoes (or so it seems). As another reviewer suggested, you have to name every single topping that you want on your burger. Inside they also have a bar with a nice selection of beers including some craft ones. It's a cool place to hang out and catch some games, more laid-back than the other joints in the neighborhood. It's also open late which is cool. The main reason why I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is that the meat they use for their burgers is just some regular corn-fed beef instead of grass-fed beef like they have at Four burgers in Cambridge. Since ruminants can't digest corn, they spend their lives knee-deep in diarrhea. Kinda gross. I would definitely be willing to pay a bit more if they had a diarrhea-free burger option. This place is (un)fortunately about a 5 minute walk from my apartment and open late. It is perfect for sopping up alcohol after waiting in the long line for takeout or when nothing else is open but I just got off a late flight from a business trip (still with long line). The prices are so reasonable: the big tasty with 50/50 and Cheerwine or root beer is my guilty pleasure. The people working the takeout must be overwhelmed constantly as they occasionally get cranky. But, my tips do not go unappreciated and I always receive a "thank you". It takes a bit for the order to get ready but you are rewarded with a simple, no fuss, pretty tasty burger. The fries are nothing special but the onion rings are delicious. The last time I was there, the system went down and we had to wit over 20 minutes yet no one informed us - I only knew because I was second in line and the people ahead of me told me when I asked what was causing the delay. Thankfully, I had cash but not sure how the queue behind me fared. So I would suggest having at $15 in cash just in case. Now that Red Sox season is upon us, prepare to wait to enjoy an inexpensive, better than fast food meal. read more

Tasty Burger is as close to In & Out as this West Coast transplant has found, with the added bonus of onion rings, hots dogs (shafts) and the best damn neopolitan shake that I have ever had. Their burgers are fresh, massive and delicious and the onion rings and fries come in huge orders (you can definitely split an order between two people) that you can even order as a 50/50 so you don't have to pick favorites. Their beer selection is always changing and never disappointing and you can always pay an extra buck for a koozie to keep you beer nice and cold. The staff are really nice and attentive and the jukebox is always cranking out good music. I love that it is in an old garage; in the summers they open the doors for a great breeze and they used the space that they have well. There is a parking lot and a walk-up window for to-to orders, and even during home Red Sox games we have managed to find a spot in their lot which is partially used for game parking (but you don't have to pay, don't worry). Everyone wants to be good at burgers, but Tasty Burger is one of the few that really does it right and remain fun and casual about it. I'm a fan. read more

I love everything about this place. The food is great, I love the environment, and it's open until 2 am. They just released a new burger called the Mama and it is to die for.
