We tried many things and enjoyed them all. Favorites included stir fried green beans, general tso chicken, shredded pork with spicy garlic sauce, and crispy garlic chicken wings. That said, we also enjoyed the lamb shank Mongolian style, the wonton spicy sauce, and pork ribs. The soup dumplings were a special treat. The only thing that was only ok was the house fried rice. We were then told that there weren't any tables large enough for our party of 6, despite the restaurant being empty with several available tables. There was even a table that sat exactly 6 people, which was seated later by a party of two. Only after we suggested combining tables did they seat us, after a long awkward pause. We got the beef with taro and I didn't love the flavor of the sauce (green peppers and reminded me to salsa verde lol) but the beef was super soft! I want to come back to try the spicy gravy beef or fish (they use the same beef). Service is fast and they're not super busy on a Monday night! They charge for rice per bowl. Lunch specials start at $15 here now plus tax and tip is almost $20 for a quick workday lunch. Service was quick and friendly. Smaller more expensive and much more specialized menu. The staff was very friendly and helpful on explaining the dishes and recommending items that are suitable to your palate. And they always took time to check in on us. We went on a Sunday night at 5pm and there were already people waiting outside to get in and it got pretty packed when we were having our dinner.
